The Palace Attendant left with the letter.

Just as she walked out of Fengqi Palace, she saw the Emperor approaching.

She hurriedly knelt on the ground, "Servant greets the Emperor. Long live the Emperor, long live, long live."

Fu Xingyi looked at the palace attendant from Fengqi Palace, his expression gentle, "Stand up."

"Thank you, Emperor."

"Where are you rushing off to?" Fu Xingyi asked casually.

"Replying to the Emperor, the Empress instructed the servant to deliver a letter to Guard Lin." The palace attendant dared not lie, quickly responding.

Fu Xingyi’s eyes paused slightly.

He slowly said, "Let take a look at the letter."

The palace attendant hesitated a bit.

"Bold servant!" Ping Gonggong scolded, "Do you dare defy the Emperor’s orders?!"

"Servant dares not."

With that, the palace attendant quickly took out the letter.

Fu Xingyi took it and opened it.

The words inside were simple.

"Half a year as the period, wait for my answer, do not leave without permission."

Fu Xingyi looked at the words inside, his eyes tightened.

Unconsciously, he crumpled the letter into a ball.

Ping Gonggong did not see what was written inside, but seeing the Emperor’s face was wrong, he dared not speak more, becoming much more cautious.

The current Emperor feels entirely different from the previous Emperor.

He is completely unpredictable.

"The letter need not be delivered anymore." Fu Xingyi commanded.

The palace attendant looked up at him.

Obviously not knowing how to explain to the Empress.

Fu Xingyi said directly, "Guard Lin escorted the Empress to Wenzhou this ti, ensuring her safety, and should be richly rewarded. Ping Gonggong, take him to collect so rewards to give to Guard Lin, and say it is from the Empress as a reward."

"Servant obeys." Ping Gonggong quickly took the order.

Then led the palace attendant away.

Fu Xingyi directly walked into Fengqi Palace.

An Ning was currently returning to the dining table for breakfast.

Unexpectedly, Fu Xingyi ca so early.

An Ning stood up.

Fu Xingyi went straight over to grasp her hand, sitting with her.

"Hasn’t the Emperor had breakfast yet?" An Ning asked.

"No. I ca over after just finishing the morning court." Fu Xingyi smiled.

"Was the morning court smooth?" An Ning knew that after she left the imperial palace, Fu Xingyi began attending morning court with the help of Song Yanqing.

Also wondered if Song Yanqing noticed anything.

Once back in the palace, she hadn’t seen Song Yanqing.

"It went fairly smoothly."

"That’s good."

Saying this, the palace attendant had already prepared the bowls and chopsticks, respectfully handing them to An Ning.

Fu Xingyi ate the al and couldn’t help but say, "I haven’t had Little Ning’s cooking in a long ti."

An Ning paused slightly.

"The palace’s food is mostly gourt, but what I miss most is Little Ning’s homade dishes." Fu Xingyi spoke casually.

It was clear he wanted her to cook personally.

"I’ll make it for you." An Ning agreed.

Anyway, spending the day in the palace, being idle is idle.

"Then sorry for the trouble." Fu Xingyi smiled brightly.

"Then co over for dinner," An Ning said, "I’m afraid I won’t be able to handle it by noon, I need to prepare so ingredients."

"Okay."

After the two had breakfast.

Fu Xingyi didn’t linger, he left to handle official business.

An Ning waited for a while, until the palace attendant returned.

"Did you deliver it?" An Ning asked.

The palace attendant seed nervous, slowly saying, "Delivered to Guard Lin."

The Emperor forbade him from saying he didn’t deliver the letter, instead delivering the reward.

Though he didn’t understand why the Emperor would request such, as servants, they can only obey the Emperor, or it’s a cri punishable by death.

"Did he say anything?" An Ning also seed nervous.

Wondering if Lin Zichan would agree?!

Even though she kept telling herself he wouldn’t refuse.

The palace attendant quickly answered, "Guard Lin said he understood."

An Ning breathed a sigh of relief.

"Understand" ans he would wait for her for half a year, right?

Though these six months she can’t be completely sure she’ll leave Fu Xingyi, she believes Lin Zichan wouldn’t bla her for making him wait an extra six months.

"Be dismissed."

"Yes." The palace attendant left.

An Ning felt much better, with fewer concerns, she directly took the palace attendant from the bedroom to the Imperial Kitchen.

Speaking of which, she also wanted to cook personally, she missed eating her own cooking too.

Thinking that Youyou and Luming wanted to eat too.

...

Outside the palace.

Lin Zichan’s residence.

Not big, in Xun City, it was hardly worth ntioning.

He sat in the main hall, just looking at the gold and silver jewelry in front of him.

So this is An Ning’s answer?!

There’s nothing to make up for, only money.

When she wanted to leave years ago, the only thing she wanted was ten thousand gold.
