An Ji felt Anqi’s gaze and only then looked back from afar. He politely greeted Anqi, "Princess."

"Why are you here? Weren’t you drinking?" Anqi asked.

An Ji’s status had changed; it was difficult for him to visit Daxuan Kingdom, so naturally, many people toasted him. After rounds of drinking, his face was still a bit flushed at the mont.

"I just finished drinking and wanted to take a walk to sober up," An Ji replied.

"Do you want Pri Minister Song to find you a room to rest in?"

"No need."

"Well, you can drink so hangover tea," Anqi suggested with concern.

"No need, walking around will be enough."

"Alright," Anqi nodded and reminded him, "If you’re feeling unwell, make sure to speak up; don’t hold it in. Mother and Youyou are both skilled in dicine, and if you really feel unwell, you can take so hangover dicine."

An Ji nodded.

Seeing that An Ji wasn’t particularly enthusiastic, Anqi smiled and turned to leave.

An Ji walked alone in the quiet courtyard, sobering up.

Though he said he was sobering up, in fact...

His mind suddenly conjured up the image of An Youyou and Wu Huahao leaving hand in hand...

He had heard the Marquis and the elder princess speak about An Youyou and Wu Huahao’s engagent in Luming’s presence more than once. He overheard it because he was always beside Luming. He didn’t feel anything special initially, but for so reason, it etched deeply into his mory.

He pressed his lips together and walked over.

As he approached the front courtyard, he could clearly hear the noise.

A group of people was gathered around, playing gas.

"An Youyou, that’s not allowed!" From afar, Wu Huahao’s voice teasingly ca.

"Stop it!" An Youyou was sowhat displeased. "You’re distracting . I would have hit the target if you weren’t distracting !"

"Yes, yes, yes, I won’t tease you. Then aim and hit one! We’re on the sa team, and I’m really losing out here."

"Shut up!" An Youyou barked fiercely.

Wu Huahao covered his mouth and dared not speak further.

An Youyou focused intently, glancing at the position of the pot multiple tis before making a throw.

She missed!

An Youyou was sowhat agitated.

Wu Huahao continued to mock her from behind, "You’re all flashy, but it didn’t get in after all!"

"Wu Huahao, if you say one more word, I’ll hit you!" An Youyou vented her anger on Wu Huahao.

Wu Huahao was speechless and asked, "How many arrows do you have left?"

"Two." Out of ten arrows, she hadn’t hit even one.

"Let help you."

"Take them," An Youyou was starting to lose interest in the ga.

"No, I’ll teach you," Wu Huahao held An Youyou’s hand.

An Ji was standing not far away with his fingers seemingly tightening.

"Hold the arrow first," Wu Huahao instructed.

An Youyou picked up an arrow.

Wu Huahao moved closer to An Youyou and embraced her from behind.

There wasn’t much sense of propriety between An Youyou and Wu Huahao.

After all, her mother told her that Wu Huahao was like her brother.

Wu Huahao held An Youyou’s hand, causing her to tilt her head slightly while his face bent close to hers, using his eyes to line up with the pot’s opening.

An Ji’s clenched fist seed to tighten further.

After ensuring the aim, Wu Huahao led An Youyou’s hand to apply force.

"Bang."

Securely, it went straight in, right through the smallest pot opening.

An Youyou widened her eyes.

The people around applauded.

An Youyou beca excited.

She turned to hug Wu Huahao in celebration.

At that mont, it seed as if a familiar figure was seen leaving from the crowd.

An Youyou didn’t think much of it.

"Co on, let’s continue," An Youyou asked Wu Huahao to teach her how to throw the pot again this way.

Wu Huahao didn’t refuse.

The two of them drew closer and continued playing.

anwhile, the person leaving from afar seed to glance back.

Watching the two of them still so joyful and close, they eventually left.

...

Afternoon, at the hour of You.

An Youyou and Wu Huahao were engrossed in playing.

They didn’t notice that Xiao Luming had unwittingly arrived at the General Mansion.

Xiao Luming hadn’t really thought of coming, but while dealing with official duties and reviewing docunts, he suddenly felt an inexplicable emptiness.

His family had all gone to the General Mansion, even his youngest brother Xiao Muan. Though he was usually aloof, he couldn’t quite contain himself this ti.

After much contemplation, he eventually decided to change into plain clothing and left the palace for the General Mansion.

Naturally, he didn’t make it a big deal.

A few people knew when he reached the General Mansion.

At that mont, everyone was busy playing as they wished.

Xiao Luming hadn’t left the palace for quite so ti. The bustling scenes at the General Mansion elicited so emotions in him.

"Pri Minister Song, you don’t need to accompany . I want to walk alone around the mansion. Go and entertain other guests," Xiao Luming instructed.

He didn’t co today partly to avoid affecting the birthday banquet.

Having Song Yanqing accompany him like this was clearly causing an impact.

"Your Majesty..."

"You can call for when it’s ti for dinner."

"Yes, then I’ll take my leave," Song Yanqing respectfully retreated.

In comparison, he would surely rather enjoy drinking and chatting with the Supre Emperor.

Truthfully, they hadn’t sat down to have a good drink together in a while.

Song Yanqing still carried so residual sll of alcohol on him at that mont.

After Song Yanqing left, Xiao Luming, along with his close attendant, walked through the back garden.

They deliberately avoided crowded areas.

They were just entering a courtyard.

Xiao Luming’s eyes narrowed, as if sensing sothing unusual.

Before he could react, a person fell from the sky and directly sat on his head!

Xiao Luming’s balance was disrupted, and he swiftly tumbled onto the ground.

With a loud "bang" that followed.

It was as if the whole world fell silent!
