The Red Dragon Lord is OP, but Insists on a Pop Culture Invasion! Chapter 123 - 122: Doxxing
Getting your cover blown is a mortifying experience.
As everyone knows, with the extra layer of anonymity, a person online and the sa person in real life are, more often than not, two completely different people.
And the mortification of ranting like a maniac online only to be imdiately doxxed by soone you know in real life is comparable to writing a novel online, having your relatives find out about it, and then watching them read it, only for them to discover the very first Chapter contains a line like, "No matter how I think about it, I can’t get in."
After Furin finished her reply on the forum, it finally dawned on her.
’A user nad "Retired Elf" who was just a smidgen more knowledgeable about Magic than she was, and an Elf nad Eldron who suddenly appears in the Northern Domain to "visit a friend" at Beheading Plaza... Isn’t that a little too much of a coincidence?’
Upon realizing just how foolish she’d been, Furin displayed her powerful ntal fortitude.
Still, the intense sha, coupled with the urgent desire to give her hot-headed self from a few days ago a good smack, brought her expression to the brink of collapse.
’So humiliating for a dragon.’
’It’s all Zog’s fault. Why didn’t he stop when I was arguing in that thread?’
’Not that I would have listened if he had, but still... it’s all Zog’s fault...’
Fortunately, after spending so much ti with Zog, so of his thick-skinned shalessness had rubbed off on her.
She kept her composure.
Her mind raced, weighing various counterasures.
Revert to her true form and fly away? Erase this portion of Saint El’s mory? Or maybe knock him out, delete her account, and pretend this whole thing never happened?
’None of those seem quite right.’
Furin gritted her teeth, steeled her resolve, and made a decision that went against all her draconic ancestors.
Apologize.
For a Dragon, this was an incredibly rare feat.
Of course, it wasn’t a direct, "I was wrong" kind of apology.
Furin turned and smiled at Saint El.
"Master, if your friend isn’t able to make it for a while, why don’t you co over to my place? I have so questions about the Invisibility Technique I’d like to ask you."
Saint El understood. She knew that he knew that she was the stubborn one from the forum.
’Oh, right. I should have realized it sooner. A high-level master of Illusion Techniques who calls herself a Golden Dragon and loves to draw... who else could it be but Furin?’
’When she first ca to the Elf Holy Land to study Elf Magic, she would seize any and every point she could to argue.’
’To think that after all these years, she hadn’t changed one bit.’
’The key issue was, when she got mad after being refuted, you couldn’t even beat her in a fight.’
When it ca to magical proficiency, he, Saint El, was a cut above. But alas, the physique of the Dragon Race was just too ridiculous.
What kind of self-respecting race gets physically stronger with age, except for when they’re at death’s door?
If one had to find a common trait between Dragons and Elves, it would be pride.
In other words, they would suffer any hardship just to save face.
So, for two races that were both thin-skinned and stubborn, Furin’s earlier words were as good as a sincere apology.
The phrase "ask you" already indicated she admitted her own view was wrong.
But getting her to say "I was wrong" directly? No chance in hell.
"It’s fine, it’s fine. There’s no need for that. I’ll just look around the Northern Domain. If you have questions, you can ask them right here."
Saint El was being cautious. Furin’s words had implied Zog was also around. If it were just Furin, he was confident he could leave whenever he wanted; she wouldn’t be able to stop him.
But with one more? What if the dragons of the Northern Domain decided to bully a feeble old man?
Besides, he had indeed screwed Zog over a little in the past.
"To be honest with you, the Invisibility Technique is for filming a Shadow of Evil, and there’s a real problem with it. It will negatively affect the final result," Furin explained.
The problem with the Invisibility Technique wasn’t that the Magic itself couldn’t make the Ice and Snow Castle invisible.
Rather, it was because it worked on the principle of optical invisibility.
Deactivating the invisibility in phases would inevitably cause the light traveling through the still-invisible sections to beco chaotic, leading to unpredictable failures.
In that forum thread, what had really gotten under Furin’s skin—besides the realization she was wrong—was that Saint El hadn’t offered a solution. He had said he didn’t know either.
She was a responsible Dragon.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have persisted in teaching the Illusion School for so many years, despite her abysmal teaching results.
Now, as the chief special effects designer for the Zog Group, she naturally couldn’t accept failure in the part of the Shadow of Evil production she was responsible for.
She had been wracking her brain for a solution for the past few days, but now that Eldron was here, he could probably identify the problem faster and might even co up with a solution more easily.
"Shadow of Evil?" Saint El had seen this term many tis on the forums.
But he had yet to see a real one, as the Magic Vision Device network hadn’t reached the Elf Holy Land.
There was a community of Shadow of Evil enthusiasts on the forum who would rate the existing ones and discuss their ideas about them.
No matter how the rankings below them changed, the first and second spots were always immovably held by *Hunting* and *Holy Mountain Journey*.
’Who was the production company again?’
’Right, Zog Film Studio, part of the Zog Group.’
’The sa group that made the Deer Spirit Social Circle.’
He had to admit, this group’s application of Magic wasn’t particularly profound. Its implentation was far less difficult than the Loman Empire’s outrageous, continent-spanning Magic Array.
But it was ingenious and incredibly creative.
He hadn’t seen such creative applications of Magic in many years—in fact, he might even say he’d never seen anything like it.
A ridiculous thought suddenly struck Saint El. "This Zog Group... it can’t actually be Zog’s, can it?"
"Of course it is. What other Zog could it be? Why does everyone assu it’s just soone using Zog’s na?"
"The Red Dragon stopped pillaging and started a business?" Saint El felt his worldview shattering.
"Er, actually, I think he plunders far more ruthlessly as a businessman than he ever did as a pillager," Furin said, embarrassed.
A Dragon at the forefront of magical application—hard to believe, but barely acceptable.
What was unacceptable was that a bunch of Zor were also at the forefront of magical application, following this Dragon.
Saint El was still brooding over the Zor music video he had seen earlier.
The Elves could not miss this developnt opportunity again.
"Take to the filming location. I should have a way to solve it," Saint El said.
"Didn’t you just say you didn’t have a solution?" Furin asked, puzzled.
"I just thought of it," the old Elf said casually.
’He was just holding back. Who would just go and reveal their most secret techniques on a public forum?’
Furin led El to the filming location.
Ice and Snow Paradise.
Because the castle’s special effects problem hadn’t been solved yet, they were filming the scenes that took place inside the castle first.
Zog was watching from the sidelines while Huan, who had freed up his schedule, was directing.
After filming *Hunting* and several Shadows of Evil produced by Shepherd on his own, Huan’s control over a film set was even more masterful than Zog’s.
It was just that those Shadows of Evil were low-budget productions with simple, everyday scenes, so Huan was quite excited about this shoot.
"Zog, look who’s here!"
Zog, who was in the middle of trying to trick an actor from the south into licking a piece of tal, turned around.
"Eldron!"
He froze.
Zog’s little grudge book: loading...
"Elf Treasure!"
Grudge book: loaded successfully.
"You’re the one who lost the treasure to in a card ga, but you insisted on telling everyone I stole it, didn’t you!"
Furin’s eyes widened. She never expected El to be that kind of Elf.
Old El looked slightly embarrassed. "I had my reasons. I was the Elf King at the ti; I couldn’t very well announce that I’d gambled away the treasure, could I? Besides, plenty of people have used your na to cover their losses. What’s one more?"
"Eat my claw!"
Zog used Salty Dragon Thrust.
Old El used Mouth Escape.
"I can achieve the castle filming effect you want."
Zog imdiately slowed down.
"If my idea is correct, I should be able to create sothing specifically for modifying Shadows of Evil, much like the forums," Old El continued.
"Why didn’t you tell you were coming to the Northern Domain? I would have co to pick you up," Zog said, his thrust turning into a friendly approach as he enthusiastically grabbed El’s hand. "Furin, hurry and get your master so tea! It’s been so many years, you’re looking quite healthy..."
