Now reading: Chapter 246: Is the Victim at Fault? from The Retired CEO's Guide To Being Spoiled, a Yaoi novel by VanessaMift.

"Do you already harbor such deep-seated malice in your heart, or are you already preditating that you yourself will also go and commit cris in the future, which is why you are now deliberately shifting all the bla onto the victim in order to justify sheer evil?"

"..." The young man choked on his words, his face flushing violently red to the ears, completely unable to find any logic to refute the girl’s sharpness.

The two of them argued heatedly, causing the atmosphere in the lecture hall to beco overwhelmingly tense. Despite being at a disadvantage in the argunt, the words the male student spat out beca increasingly offensive, dripping with venomous malice.

Ultimately, Julian Sterling could not endure it any longer. Originally, according to his initial plan, he was supposed to play the role of a fragile victim until the very end to garner sympathy.

However, constantly having to endure such excessive fragility in front of these malicious individuals was no longer his true nature. And so, in the end, Julian Sterling spoke up himself, deciding to face the situation head-on.

It was just that his slightly trembling voice still carried soft, intermittent sobs, perfectly playing the role of soone driven into a desperate corner: "You there, you said that even if I did not do those filthy things with the rich, I would still no longer be pure after this incident. Then please let ask you, how exactly do you define the word purity?"

Seeing Julian Sterling speak up, the young man acted as if he had grasped a lifeline, instantly directing his spearhead toward Julian Sterling: "Do you not find yourself utterly filthy? Being taken away by a gang of thugs, being touched by them like that for such a long ti, yet you still have the thick skin to ask that question in return. Do not even try to deny it, she herself just admitted that there is already a lawsuit concerning the kidnapping case. Are you really going to say that those cruel kidnappers were rciful enough to treat you gently and keep their distance from you?"

Sitting and listening to the guy talk all this ti, the surrounding people who originally only intended to watch the drama unfold could no longer hold back.

Anyone who still possessed a shred of conscience and reason desperately wanted to intervene. A chorus of whispering and murmuring arose. It was just unknown what exactly was wrong with this young man’s brain, the more he spoke, the more outrageous and inhumane his words beca.

He was clearly a fully educated person, systematically trained by the university, and exposed to the advanced, scientific environnt of higher education, yet deep down, he harbored conservative, outdated ideologies, and was even entirely one-sided, dictatorial, and utterly cruel toward his fellow human beings.

"So what, is being kidnapped supposed to be sothing shaful? If you step in dog shit while walking on the street, the very first thing you do is wash it completely clean, or do you stick your nose in to sniff it to see if you are dirty or not?"

Perhaps because they had only seen Julian Sterling silently crying all this ti, everyone paused for a beat when he finally spoke up to argue back. Then they seed to suddenly awaken; that is right, this was the exact sa person who had pointed directly at Vince Sutton’s face and scolded Vince Sutton just the other day.

Perhaps it was simply because the information spreading on the internet was too overwhelming, leading to severe frustration that culminated in tears. Even a worm will turn if you step on it enough; when things are pushed entirely too far, a person is naturally forced to fight back.

And after scolding that arrogant male student, Julian Sterling took a deep breath to calm down, then turned to look at the courageous girl in the corner of the room. His voice was slightly hoarse but incredibly sincere: "Thank you for standing up to protect just now."

"I am not protecting you specifically, I am rely stepping forward to speak the righteous truths that any normal, conscious human being should."

That girl possessed a rather cold exterior, and with her extrely straightforward personality, she replied without a single mont of hesitation. Despite receiving a sowhat rigid response, Julian Sterling still genuinely bowed deeply before her to express his profound gratitude.

His eyes were still completely red from the grievances he had just endured, and on his pale cheeks were ssy tear stains that had not yet been fully wiped away. Looking at Julian Sterling right now, he was exactly like a tiny rabbit pushed into a corner by others, teased and provoked to the point of absolute fury, ultimately crossing the threshold of endurance and being forced to bite back at the attacker.

But what else could be done, white rabbits typically present an obedient, gentle outward appearance, but their true temperant when cornered is certainly not guaranteed to be that fragile.

Julian Sterling was exactly like a little rabbit. When he cried silently, he carried a docile, delicate deanor that easily touched the deepest chords of sympathy in the hearts of onlookers.

But hidden deeply beneath that pitiful, tragic facade, his true nature was actually that of a thug adorned in pink makeup. Appearing affectionately harmless on the outside, but once he bit back, he would cause the enemy an excruciating amount of pain.

On the opposite side, the male student seemingly had yet to realize his own wrongdoings. Feeling completely humiliated in front of the crowd, he still refused to let the matter go. He continued to use a bitterly harsh tone to attack: "Knowing full well that you have beco so filthy, yet you still dare to show your face and wander around outside, do you have no sha? Soone who cannot preserve their chastity like you, if you lived in the olden days, you would have undoubtedly been tied up by the villagers, shoved into a pig cage, and thrown into the river to drown completely..."

He furrowed his brows, his entire deanor filled with pure contempt as he kept babbling endlessly, trying desperately to spout archaic, oppressively harsh words aid at the weaker gender in the dark, feudal society of the past.

However, before he could even finish his sentence, he was coldly cut off by Julian Sterling, whose voice no longer held the slightest trace of a tremble: "Hold on a mont, you have spoken so much, so according to your definition, what exactly is chastity? What on earth is this concept of purity that you worship so fervently?"
