Four o’clock in the afternoon, Kensington city.

The flight was slightly delayed, so the arrival ti in Kensington city was later than what Julian Sterling had anticipated. The mont he and Helen Lloyd landed at the airport, the two of them imdiately utilized a private passageway to move to the outer area and quietly slipped away.

This trip of theirs was kept entirely confidential, executed with such imnse caution that not a single trace was left behind. Initially, Julian Sterling had intended to fly to Kensington city alone to et Ethan Caldwell, but after reading the contents of an email received at noon, the atmosphere instantaneously shifted, and the plan was altered so that both he and Helen Lloyd had to rush here imdiately.

Outside the glass window, the scenery of the bustling city flashed by in a blur, yet the atmosphere inside the car remained dead silent and suffocatingly heavy.

On the way to the hotel where Ethan Caldwell was resting, Julian Sterling kept his head lowered, his fingers tapping rapidly on the phone screen to converse with Kieran Talbot. He secretly felt incredibly fortunate that during the previous encounter with the friend group of Ethan Caldwell, he had carefully exchanged contact information with them. Without that forethought, dealing with the current ergency would have been exceptionally difficult.

Julian Sterling: [In an absolutely critical situation, is it possible to temporarily use lemon water to diminish the effects of the drug?]

Kieran Talbot replied very quickly: [I am not entirely sure, it still depends on the specific type of drug. Is it impossible to prevent it?]

Julian Sterling gripped the edge of the phone tightly, his complexion growing darker by the second: [At present, I still cannot contact him, not even his assistant. All communication signals have been completely cut off.]

The other end fell silent for a brief mont, and Julian Sterling could only stare fixedly at the screen in anticipation. A while later, a response finally arrived.

Kieran Talbot : [As a last resort, you just need to help Ethan Caldwell. Send the address, I will make arrangents to co over imdiately after I finish my work. Try your best to keep the situation under control.]

Without the slightest hesitation, Julian Sterling imdiately sent the hotel address and the room number of Ethan Caldwell over to Kieran Talbot.

Regardless of everything else, if the absolute worst-case scenario were to truly unfold, it would be best to contact a doctor who thoroughly understood the inside story. Compared to calling an ordinary family physician or taking the risk of bringing Ethan Caldwell to a crowded hospital with the looming threat of information leakage, it was glaringly obvious that a close friend like Kieran Talbot was vastly more trustworthy.

After finishing the conversation with Kieran Talbot , Julian Sterling turned off the screen, lifting his head to look at Helen Lloyd who was intently driving in the front: "Still unable to get in touch with anyone from their delegation?"

Helen Lloyd cast a fleeting glance at him through the rearview mirror, her countenance bearing a trace of profound anxiety, and then she slowly shook her head.

The situation this ti was genuinely quite tense, akin to a ticking ti bomb with no indication of when it would detonate.

Recalling noon today, Julian Sterling had abruptly summoned her to the office with an extrely urgent deanor, subsequently instructing her to contact everyone accompanying Ethan Caldwell on this particular business trip. Although she completely failed to understand why Julian Sterling would make such a demand and what kind of lurking danger was ultimately present, Helen Lloyd still earnestly followed every single directive.

However, a glaring issue had arisen.

Not a single person within the delegation replied to her ssages, and no one answered the phone when she called. Normally, during a business trip, even if there was an ergency eting requiring strict confidentiality, there would still be one mber excusing themselves from attendance in order to maintain communication with those belonging to the headquarters. Yet today, even the individual holding that specific position could not be reached.

Following that, Julian Sterling showed her a piece of classified information that he had just received via email. The content was brief but carried enough weight to make anyone deeply cautious. Having assessed the severity of the matter, the two of them did not hesitate for another second, hastily packing everything to fly directly to Kensington city.

Naturally, prior to taking action, they had ticulously arranged all the work at the company in a perfectly reasonable manner. Their schedules were cleverly fabricated, ensuring that within a short period of ti, absolutely no one would notice their unusual absence and harbor any suspicions.

Watching the scenery outside the car gradually transition into the familiar architectural structures of the central district, Julian Sterling asked in a deep voice: "So, do we have any way to go straight up to the room of Ethan Caldwell without passing through the reception lobby?"

If they were to detour through the main lobby, a place bustling with passersby and a team of staff on standby, the probability of their whereabouts being exposed would be exceptionally high. Having taken such imnse pains to conceal their tracks up to this point, if they allowed the opposing party to grasp their information at the very last minute, it would be a true pity, potentially even ruining the entire situation.

Helen Lloyd maintained a steady vehicle speed, her eyes remaining focused straight ahead, articulating clearly as she drove: "That hotel has shares owned by the Caldwell Empire. Every ti the boss cos to Kensington city for a business trip, he resides there. The hotel possesses a completely separate passageway, specifically designed to connect straight from the basent up to the presidential suite area of the boss. I have the authorization to operate the elevator, but I am unable to unlock the room door."

Pausing for a brief mont to steer through an intersection, she then continued: "The presidential suite utilizes a rather high-security system, but it can be unlocked via fingerprint, or a passcode."

The gaze of Julian Sterling darkened slightly. He pondered for a mont before softly replying: "Perhaps I can crack the passcode. Let us just get there first."

Even though Ethan Caldwell was resting in the presidential suite, this hotel did not allocate an entirely separate floor exclusively for a single unit. The highest floor of this building actually featured several presidential suites situated right next to one another.

If Julian Sterling did not guess incorrectly, then at this very mont, Harrison Thornton and his daughter must also be staying on that exact sa floor.
