"There was a text ssage asking about the situation. I drafted a reply, and not long after, that number called. No one answered the phone. They called twice in succession, then vanished without a trace. We investigated; it’s a promotional SIM card number, unregistered to any official identity."
Hearing this, Ethan Caldwell said nothing. He contemplated for a mont, then turned his head to look at Julian, who was burying his head in sleep on the bed, and frowned. "Have those kidnappers confessed yet?"
"They have confessed. They said Aaron hired them to capture the person, and also told them..." Helen hesitated on the other end of the line before continuing: "They said Aaron instructed them that when he gave the signal, they were to imdiately humiliate the Young Master."
Helen had completely changed her form of address, switching from Mr. Julian to Young Master.
