Next Morning in the office, The hum of the city below was faint—muted by the elevation and thick soundproof walls. Inside, the air was calm but charged, as if the silence itself knew sothing important was about to unfold.

A light knock.

June opened the door and stepped in, poised as always."Boss, Miss Noelle is here. She’s brought a legal representative as well."

Miles, who had been reviewing reports on his tablet, stood and straightened his coat."Let them in."

June nodded and stepped aside.

Noelle entered the room with her usual professional grace. She wore a subtle smile, her heels clicking softly on the marble floor. Beside her, an elderly man in a grey suit—polished shoes, sharp glasses—gave a respectful bow.

"Good morning, Chairman Sterling," Noelle greeted, extending her hand.

Miles took it firmly, giving a polite nod. "Good morning, Miss Noelle. Please, have a seat."

They all sat around the broad oak desk. The legal representative opened his briefcase and carefully pulled out a neat stack of docunts.

"Mr. Sterling, these are the legal papers for the property transfer. Kindly review and sign where indicated," he said, sliding them across the desk.

Miles didn’t even glance at them. He looked to June.

She stepped forward, already pulling a pen from her tablet holder. "I’ll go through them, boss."

Flipping through the pages efficiently, her eyes scanned every clause, every line.

"Everything looks clean," she said after a mont. "No hidden clauses. Standard transfer and rights paperwork. You’re good to sign."

Miles picked up the pen and elegantly signed his na on the dotted lines, one after another—smooth, decisive strokes.

Noelle smiled warmly. "Congratulations on your new house, Mr. Sterling."

Miles leaned back slightly. "Thank you, Miss Noelle."

"You’ve done us a great favor, actually," she added. "We’ve had that property listed for months with no serious buyers. Your offer ca in just when we needed it."

The legal representative gave a small nod of agreent.

"And," Noelle continued with a glint in her eye, "thanks to the commission this deal earned us, my boss has decided to provide free maintenance for one full year—cleaning, repairs, anything you need."

Miles raised a brow slightly, a rare soft chuckle escaping. "That’s generous of you."

"It’s nothing, Mr. Sterling. Think of it as a gift for VVIP clients." She stood, straightening her coat. "If you ever need assistance in the future—expansions, other properties—don’t hesitate to call ."

He stood as well, extending his hand again. "I’ll keep that in mind."

They shook hands—a firm, professional closure to a successful deal.

The legal representative gathered the paperwork, gave one last bow, and the two exited with June escorting them to the elevator.

A few minutes later, June returned with a confirmation ssage on her tablet.

"Boss, the transfer’s been completed. Funds sent."

Miles looked out the window with a calm satisfaction. "Finally. The house. That was quick."

"They were efficient," June agreed. Then, a spark of thought lit her eyes. "Should we consider acquiring their firm for our real estate division? They’re fast, discreet, and have a strong market presence."

Miles turned to her slowly, thoughtful. "It’s a good idea. Look into their history, investors, and ongoing projects."

"On it, boss," June nodded, already pulling up files on her tablet as she exited the room.

Miles sat back in his chair, fingers steepled beneath his chin, eyes distant. The new house was ready.

Miles drove back to the family.

The house was alive with the sound of giggles, scattered toys, and the chaotic energy only young children could summon.

Miles stepped inside and paused by the door, taking in the scene—plush animals on the floor, colored blocks everywhere, and a half-built tower teetering dangerously near the coffee table.

From the living room, Elena’s voice echoed out, exasperated but loving,"Stop destroying the house, you two!"

Daniel chid in from the hallway, arms crossed but amused,"Kids should listen to their elders. Now collect your toys and arrange them."

From behind the couch, a pair of mischievous voices chirped in unison,"Yesss, Dad!"

Miles chuckled, stepping further inside."You two are becoming naughty, huh?"

At the sound of his voice, Hope and Asher froze, eyes lighting up."Big brooo!" they squealed in harmony, darting toward him like little rockets.

Elena turned slightly from where she was seated, brushing a loose strand of hair from her face."You’re back early."

Miles scooped both twins effortlessly into his arms, balancing them on his shoulders like featherweights."Just bored of the usual office lunch."

Elena narrowed her eyes playfully."Really? It’s not even lunchti yet."

Miles grinned."Caught ."He looked around at everyone."But I do have sothing to show you all."

Hope gasped, eyes sparkling."Is it a surprise?"

Asher bounced in place."I’m so excited!"

Miles laughed."It’s kinda a surprise, yes."

Daniel raised an eyebrow with a sly smile."Let guess. You’re seeing a girl?"

Miles made a face."What? No, Father—have you already forgotten?"

Elena tilted her head, catching on."You an... you found a place already?"

Miles nodded."I’ve done the deal. Everything’s set."

Elena straightened, her interest piqued."Where?"

"A little on the outskirts," Miles explained, setting the twins gently back on the ground."But it’s peaceful. Great neighborhood. You’re going to love it."

Elena smiled warmly."Now I am curious."

" too," Daniel added, rubbing his chin.

Miles looked at the twins, then at the colorful chaos around them."But before we go—" he pointed to the ss, "You two should clean up this battlefield you’ve created."

Hope and Asher exchanged guilty grins."Big brooo... wait for us! We’ll finish it super fast!"

They scampered off, picking up their toys with over-the-top speed and dramatic sighs.

Elena shook her head with a soft chuckle."They do a real ss."

"They do," Daniel agreed, smiling as he helped fold a blanket thrown over the couch.

After a while, everyone was ready—coats on, shoes tied, spirits high.

They were about to see their new ho.

They got into the car with cheerful anticipation, laughter echoing through the Keller household. Daniel settled into the passenger seat, while Elena and the twins nestled into the back. Miles adjusted the rearview mirror with a faint grin and started the engine, rging into the bustle of the city.

The car cruised smoothly through busy streets, weaving past honking cars, towering buildings, and fast food stalls, before gradually transitioning to broader lanes and quieter surroundings. The honking faded into chirping birds as they neared their destination.

Elena looked out the window, her brows lifting in awe. "These houses are huge..."

Daniel gave a short whistle. "Only the ultra-rich can afford property here. This place is way beyond regular expensive."

Hope and Asher were wide-eyed, their little faces pressed against the glass, silently taking in the elegance of the polished mansions and immaculately trimd gardens.

Miles smiled at their reactions. "Yes, Mom. This is where the house is. It’s beautiful, peaceful... just right."

After a few more minutes, they reached the gates of a grand estate. A uniford security guard instantly stood up from the guard booth, gave a respectful nod to Miles, and opened the wrought-iron gates with a remote buzz.

Miles slowed down and pointed, "Here we are."

The car pulled into the spacious driveway.

Everyone stepped out. The late afternoon sun reflected off the pristine white walls and high glass windows of the house.

Daniel squinted and stepped forward slightly. "Wait... isn’t this... the Pearl Villa?"

Elena turned to him with surprise. "You know this place?"

Daniel nodded slowly. "I saw it in the newspaper months ago. It was being sold at a ridiculous price. This is the kind of place CEOs or film stars buy, not... normal people."

Elena turned to Miles, concern on her face. "Miles... isn’t this a bit much? It’s extravagant."

Miles looked at her earnestly, his voice soft but sure. "It’s for my family, Mom. I want you to live in a house where you can wake up feeling safe. I want Father to have a quiet, peaceful place to rest and read. And I want Hope and Asher to grow up in a ho they’ll always rember... sowhere beautiful."

Elena couldn’t help the smile spreading across her face. "Stop. You’re being too poetic."

They all laughed gently.

anwhile, Hope and Asher had already broken into a sprint, racing across the green lawn and playing among the flower beds.

"This is like a palace!" Hope giggled, spinning with her arms wide.

Asher shouted with joy, "Do we get our own rooms? Big bro, do we really live here now?"

Miles called after them with a grin, "You’ll see for yourself. Co on, let’s go inside."

He reached for the door and gestured them all in.

Hope and Asher ca running back, their faces glowing with joy. "Let’s goooo!" they squealed in unison.

And together, the family stepped inside their new ho.

Sowhere in the Country

The old master stood by the window, staring at the overcast sky as he spoke into a secure phone, his voice calm but alert.

"We’ve received the biggest deal in our history, sir," he said. "The Cobra Cartel in xico... they’ve got a new boss. He’s planning a large-scale expansion in distribution. We just secured a major order."

A pause followed. The voice on the other end was composed, authoritative.

"That’s great," the man said. "Put more money into it. Increase the production."

"I’m already on it, sir," the old master replied without hesitation.

"Also," the voice continued, "send more workers to Star Harbor. Be careful. After the Paradise Club incident, we’re still unaware who our enemies are."

The old master gave a faint chuckle. "Don’t worry, sir. We’ve kept it running for two decades. No one’s going to interfere there."

"Good. Settle the deal," the man said finally. "And bring good news."

"Yes, sir."

The line went dead. The old master pocketed the phone and turned toward his desk, eyes sharp with purpose.
