SNAP. The cigarette dropped from his mouth. The leader’s face turned ashen.

How is this possible! How could this be possible! In less than thirty seconds, thirteen thugs ard with clubs were all crippled? And by Jiangzhou’s publicly acclaid number one coward, no less? Impossible!

"You... who in the world are you?" he stamred, his entire body convulsing and his legs shaking violently. He stared at Qin Fan as if he had seen a ghost, his pale, bloodless face a mask of terror.

"Who I am isn’t important," Qin Fan said with a cold laugh, quoting the young man’s earlier words. "What’s important is that you can go collect your disability benefits now!"

Before despair could fully consu the young man, Qin Fan hurled the baseball bat in his hand at his legs. Instinctively, the young man tried to dodge. But how could a worthless cur like him possibly evade a strike from the Shura Venerable?

CRACK!

The sickening crunch of shattering bone echoed through the alley.

"Aaaargh! My legs! My legs!"

The young man collapsed, clutching his legs and howling in excruciating agony. Accompanied by the relentless screams of the other thirteen, the alley was instantly filled with a hair-raising chorus of tornt.

Glancing at the dozen or so n, who were wailing wretchedly like dying dogs with tears and sweat streaming down their faces, Qin Fan revealed an innocuous smile.

He shook his head and muttered to himself with a laugh, It seems I’ve grown soft since my rebirth. If this were the Cangqiong Continent, would these scumbags still be breathing?

Clapping his hands clean, Qin Fan stuffed them into his pockets and leisurely started walking out of the alley. But after just a few steps, a thought struck him. He stopped and turned around.

He shouldn’t have turned. The mont he did, the cacophony of pig-like squeals ca to an abrupt halt as a wave of terror washed over them.

"Stopped crying?" Qin Fan sneered, the corner of his lip curling in contempt.

No one answered, but their terrified gazes said it all.

After a mont of mockery, Qin Fan spoke with a calm indifference, "Hand over your bank cards."

His sharp, cold gaze swept over them. This team of hired muscle was instantly petrified. Without the slightest hesitation, they were driven by a primal sense of self-preservation to quickly pull the bank cards from their wallets and place them on the ground.

"The PINs!" Qin Fan commanded coolly, nodding with so satisfaction at their compliance.

He listened, committing the nurous PINs to mory. After bending down to scoop up the dozen or so bank cards, Qin Fan walked over to the leader. "And yours?"

"Wha-what?" Cold sweat beaded on the leader’s deathly pale face. He fought back a scream that rose to his lips, his voice a pained, broken stamr.

"What?" Qin Fan smiled. He tilted his head. "You still have two perfectly good hands."

"I’ll give it! I’ll give it to you!" the young man shrieked reflexively at Qin Fan’s cold, emotionless voice.

Reason scread at him that Qin Fan wouldn’t think twice about leaving him so crippled that even holding a bowl or a cigarette would be an impossible luxury.

His trembling hands fumbled for a good ten seconds before he managed to pull a brand-new bank card from his wallet. His features, already twisted in pain, twitched violently as he stamred, "H-Here... There’s two... 200,000 in here. Th-That’s all I have! The p-password is... 1-4-7-2-5-8!"

Two hundred thousand? That’s enough!

Qin Fan snatched the card from his hand. Without another word, he finally vanished, leaving the n in the alley that had beco their personal hell.

Walking out of the alley, Qin Fan looked down at the stack of bank cards in his hand and gave a bitter, embarrassed smile.

The magnificent Shura Venerable, reduced to extortion and blackmail? If word of this got out on the Cangqiong Continent, the scandal would be absolutely earth-shattering!

But he really had no choice. Consolidating his cultivation required precious dicinal herbs, and finding those herbs required money—a bottomless pit that could never be filled. The few dozen bucks to his na were a complete joke. Going ho to ask his parents for money was even more impossible.

Fortunately, just when he needed a pillow, this flock of pitiable sheep had offered themselves up for shearing. These bank cards would serve as the startup capital for his trip to the casino. To fill that bottomless pit, Qin Fan had a plan: he would rely on the casinos for funding! With his all-seeing Eyes of Golden Fla, he could easily cover his initial expenses through gambling.

He casually hailed a taxi. Relying on the mories of his past life, Qin Fan recited the address of Jiangzhou’s largest underground casino.

「An hour later.」

Qin Fan stood before the main entrance of the Mountain and Water Manor. Its grand, luxurious atmosphere gave no hint that it housed the largest underground casino in all of Lingnan. Standing at the entrance, a sly smirk touched Qin Fan’s lips.

He strode boldly toward the entrance.

"Halt, kid! This isn’t a place you can just walk into!"

The guards at the Mountain and Water Manor had spotted Qin Fan the mont he arrived by taxi. If they let in so broke-looking teenager, they could kiss their jobs goodbye.

Qin Fan let out an exasperated sigh. Why does it feel like I’m hitting a wall everywhere I go since my rebirth? Is it really this much trouble just to get into a casino?

Accustod to acting without restraint on the Cangqiong Continent, Qin Fan suppressed his rising irritation and spoke pleasantly, "Do casinos turn away custors now?"

Hearing this, the two burly guards exchanged a look. Their expressions hardened as they stared intently at Qin Fan. "Who are you?"

"Do I have to state my identity just to gamble? I’m a gambler. Now tell , am I getting in or not?" Qin Fan’s voice grew perceptibly colder.

Just as he finished speaking, the roar of a sports car engine ripped through the air. A fiery red Maserati was speeding toward them from behind.

Qin Fan turned. Through the windshield, he had a clear view of Zhou Xueman.

Hmm? Now this is interesting.

A playful smile replaced the cold look on his face.

As he turned, Zhou Xueman also saw him. Her brow furrowed instantly.

The Qin family’s loser? Why is he here? Did those thugs not deal with him yet? And how did he even get to this place? Mountain and Water Manor... Does he have the right or the money to set foot in here? Is a place like this for a loser like him?

Though questions swirled in her mind, they quickly lted into a cold sneer. A look of pure disdain and annoyance crossed her face as she looked at Qin Fan.

Pulling the car up right behind him, she slamd on the horn, a clear display of her arrogance. Rolling down the window, she taunted him, "Well, well, look who it is. The Qin family loser. Can’t you read the sign?"

Zhou Xueman pointed a finger at the four large, flamboyantly written characters on the building: Mountain and Water Manor.
