Even if Qin Chu and Wei Shuying weren’t the most astute of people, they weren’t entirely without discernnt. In that mont, the couple felt that fate was playing a massive joke on them.
Staring at the keys clutched in Qin Fan’s hand, they were both dazed. What swirled in their minds was the greatest shock and confusion they had ever experienced.
"Alright, stop zoning out, Mom, Dad. Let’s sit down. Ask anything you don’t understand! I promise to answer truthfully," Qin Fan said with a smile, pulling the still-stunned Qin Chu and Wei Shuying down onto the sofa.
"What was that billion about?" After Qin Fan finished speaking, the two of them remained silent for over ten seconds before deciding to start from the beginning.
"I really did win it at the Mountain and Water Manor! But it had nothing to do with Old Master Ye. Ye Jizu didn’t want to hand it over, and it was only after I beat him up that he had no choice. After so back and forth, I guess it beca a case of ’no fight, no friendship’!" Qin Fan explained lightly.
He beat Ye Jizu until he had no choice but to give in? And then they beca friends through fighting?
Listening to Qin Fan’s casual tone, the couple almost blurted out, "How is that possible!"
But rembering the martial skill Qin Fan had previously displayed, they swallowed the words on the tips of their tongues.
"Tell us, how did you suddenly beco so powerful?" Wei Shuying asked intently, straightening her posture as she focused on Qin Fan.
"It’s a really clichéd story, just like in novels and movies. I t an old man who said I had an exceptional fra for martial arts, a prodigy seen only once in a century. I believed him and kept training with him, biding my ti all the while," Qin Fan said, having already prepared his script.
And that was all he could say. If he truly confessed that he had been to another realm in his previous life, cultivated for five hundred years, and only returned after dying under a heavenly tribulation, his parents would never believe him. Even he couldn’t bring himself to say sothing so outrageous in the context of modern society.
"An old man? Where is he?" Qin Chu asked with a furrowed brow.
"He’s gone, traveling the Four Seas!" Qin Fan spouted nonsense with a straight face.

Well, the couple decided to believe it for the ti being.
"And how did you get to know Ma Yunbin? How could he possibly give you a villa worth more than two hundred million?" Since Qin Fan had promised to answer truthfully, Wei Shuying didn’t hold back and asked directly.
"He has witnessed my strength and wants to get on my good side. That’s the most important reason. Additionally, at the Fushan auction, I drove up the price on Qin Shuai’s bid, allowing Fushan to earn double. So, he simply did a favor by gifting the villa. It’s that simple!" Omitting the whole affair with the Dragon Slayers, Qin Fan’s answer could be considered truthful for the most part.
"Does that an you knew him from the start? When Ma Yunbin embarrassed Qin Shuai at Fushan, was he doing it to stand up for you?" Qin Chu asked, utterly astonished.
"Probably. You’d have to ask him to know for sure. I can’t quite see through what he’s thinking either," Qin Fan said with a wry smile.
Hearing this, Qin Chu and Wei Shuying looked at each other, both seeing an expression of sheer disbelief in the other’s eyes.
First Ye Jizu, now Ma Yunbin... and Qin Fan isn’t even twenty yet! To have connections with such figures, who are so intimidated that they try to curry favor with fawning gifts of houses and cars? Is Qin Fan spouting nonsense, or has the world gone mad? Given the reality of those two sets of keys, they chose to believe the latter. The world has gone mad! Truly mad! For absolute, Divine-Level figures like Ye Jizu and Ma Yunbin to treat him this way, just how heaven-defying must Qin Fan’s combat power be?
"Qin Shuai... did you really cripple him?" Qin Chu’s fingers trembled as he suddenly asked, his voice tense.
Every ti the Qin family or its mbers were ntioned, he couldn’t suppress the nervousness that inevitably arose. This ti was no exception, and his eyes even betrayed a hint of urgency.

Although the answer was not unexpected, hearing Qin Fan confess so frankly still sent a profound shock through Qin Chu and Wei Shuying.

With the deed already done, the couple focused their final question on the phone call from four in the morning.
"Who called you just now, and do you know why all of Qin Jun’s calls went unanswered?" Wei Shuying stared intently into Qin Fan’s eyes, her expression grave. She prided herself on her judgnt. Her intuition told her that Qin Jun’s decision to submit, suffer endless humiliation, and crawl away had to be related to the content of that call.
Not hiding anything, Qin Fan stated bluntly, "Ye Jizu. As for Qin Jun’s calls going unanswered, that’s normal. Right now in Jiangzhou City, if you had to choose between Ye Jizu and Qin Jun, no one would dare stand against Ye Jizu. Qin Jun wanted to call the police to handle this ss, but Ye Jizu found out. The reason no one answered his calls is probably because Ye Jizu put the word out behind the scenes."
Ye Jizu? Again? Ye Jizu is so concerned about our son’s affairs that he’d intervene in the middle of the night?
At this mont, as Qin Fan’s words settled, Qin Chu and Wei Shuying were struck dumb, their hearts roiling with tempestuous waves.
"What exactly is your relationship with Ye Jizu?" After a brief, stunned silence, Qin Chu and Wei Shuying asked in unison.
"How should I put this?" Qin Fan paused, then stood up. He stretched lazily before shaking his head with an arrogant smile. "If you’re asking about our relationship, it’s hard to define. But to sum it up in one sentence... he wishes to be of service to ."
The great Patriarch of Lingnan wishes to be of service to *you*?
If it weren’t for everything they had just experienced, Qin Chu and Wei Shuying would have definitely thought Qin Fan was bragging, completely out of his depth. Yet, with each of Qin Fan’s answers holding up to scrutiny, the two were once again left stunned.
The sight of Qin Fan stretching, his posture radiating an arrogant, disdainful air, made him feel like a stranger.
Is this still the little Fan they need to protect?
Turning to look at his dazed parents, Qin Fan let the arrogant expression fall from his face and said softly with a smile, "Dad, Mom, no matter how much I change, I will always be your son. I’ll always be the son who loves and cares for you the most. So, for now, let’s not dwell on all that. It’s almost five o’clock. How about we go for a morning jog and check out the Half Mountain Villa?"
"Okay, son. We’ll listen to you," Wei Shuying said with a smile, reaching out to stroke Qin Fan’s cheek.
Qin Chu also nodded with a smile.
As for the Qin family, including Qin Jun’s branch, they didn’t want to think about it anymore. Things had already reached this point, and there was nothing to do but roll with the punches. If that wasn’t enough, then fleeing was always the best of the thirty-six strategies.
