There were ten thousand ways to annihilate these so-called Divine-Level Onmyoji in the blink of an eye, but Qin Fan didn’t act imdiately. For him, this was an excellent opportunity to train Hua Xiaotian.
"Master Qin, what should I do next!"
Inside the Illusion Realm, Hua Xiaotian remained perfectly lucid, completely ignoring the phantoms around him. He even paid no mind to a figure identical to himself climbing out of a grave. The shrieking voices and soaring ghosts were nothing more than transparent objects to him.
"Every Illusion Realm is infused with an Onmyoji’s Life Source! Shatter those Life Sources, and this will all be over! Go. Feel for the discordance. All things in this world have a weakness; the only difference is whether you can find it," Qin Fan advised, gently playing the role of a teacher guiding his student.
"Understood!"
With a firm reply, Hua Xiaotian closed his eyes, standing still within the illusory Chaotic Burial Mound. Uniting his spirit with his body, he completely imrsed himself in the illusion, sensing for its invisible flaw.
High-Level Onmyoji needed to use their eyes to perceive an Illusion Realm. These Divine-Level Onmyoji, however, could survey the entire domain within their minds the mont they cast their formation. When the image of Hua Xiaotian appeared in their minds, an old man cried out in shock, "What? How is this possible? Why isn’t his mind being swayed? And why isn’t that young man in the illusion at all?"
For Hua Xiaotian’s mind to remain unshaken was astonishing enough, but for Qin Fan to not even appear in the illusion... Did that an he had sealed himself off from the world of the illusion? Impossible!
"Damn it! If this illusion won’t work, then let’s retreat for now!" the child-faced, crane-haired old man exclaid, his heart pounding with shock.
At his cry, the other Onmyoji didn’t hesitate. They imdiately moved to retract their Life Sources and dissolve the Illusion Realm.
But at this critical juncture, Qin Fan spoke, his tone dripping with contemptuous mockery, "Thinking of withdrawing your Life Sources? It’s too late!"
As he spoke, the vast Golden Core True Qi within him surged out and dispersed, pouring down upon the Divine-Level Onmyoji like an endless barrage of overlapping tornadoes. Invisibly, it wrapped tightly around each and every one of them.
The scene from the Jingguo Society was replaying itself. The only difference was that his previous targets had been High-Level Onmyoji. This ti, however, they were the supposedly supre Divine-Level Onmyoji!
"Damn it, I can’t move! I can’t move! I can’t draw my Life Source out of the illusion! What is happening?!" one man roared in panic.
"Mine won’t work either! Damn it all, how can this be?!"
"Curse it, we’ve all been frozen in place!"
"What kind of sorcery did that Huaxia brat use? Damn it, damn it!"
"Did anyone understand what he just said?"
A torrent of panicked cries erupted from the Divine-Level Onmyoji, their faces twisted in terror.
What are these two damned scoundrels planning? What in the world are they trying to do?!
However, amidst their frantic cries, Hua Xiaotian, still inside the Illusion Realm, felt his ears twitch. Listening in all directions and observing the world with his mind’s eye, he suddenly snapped his eyes open and flicked the Hemp Vine Whip with a sharp crack! The next instant, without a mont’s hesitation, he leaped toward his side.
There, nestled among the weeds of the Chaotic Burial Mound, was a black cat that seed to rge with the darkness, its piercing green eyes gleaming. Facing the approaching, whip-wielding Hua Xiaotian, it instinctively tried to flee. However, it seed to be bound to the spot, completely unable to move.
OW!
A chilling screech rang out in the face of danger.
Outside the Illusion Realm, the Divine-Level Onmyoji all scread in unison, "NO!"
It was as if they could already see what was about to happen. Unfortunately, their cries had no effect whatsoever.
Inside the Illusion Realm, Hua Xiaotian swung his whip down viciously on the immobilized black cat.
WHACK!
The whip cracked against its body, and the cat instantly exploded into pieces, vanishing in the next second. Only a sar of blood on the grass remained as proof it had ever been there.
anwhile, outside the Illusion Realm, the Divine-Level Onmyoji whose Life Source had taken the form of the cat began to violently vomit mouthful after mouthful of Essence Blood. After spewing blood uncontrollably for three breaths, he collapsed to the ground, dead.
No one could have imagined it. He was a dignified Divine-Level Onmyoji, an existence so formidable that even the peak figures of the Huaxia Martial Arts World were once wary of him. Yet, he had perished at the hands of a re Gang Realm practitioner!
"One down! Good work, Old Hua. Keep it up!" Watching the old man die, Qin Fan transmitted his voice into Hua Xiaotian’s mind.
"Yes, Master Qin!" Hua Xiaotian replied, his voice brimming with excitent.
He had just eliminated a Divine-Level Onmyoji with his current Gang Realm cultivation. What kind of ecstasy did this shocking achievent bring? Hua Xiaotian couldn’t put it into words, but he knew that Qin Fan had elevated his state of mind to a level he had never even dared to imagine. And that so-called state of mind was, to a large extent, another word for confidence.
"Damn it, he’s destroying our Life Sources! Curse him! Signal for help from the cave! Quick, quick!" the child-faced, crane-haired old man shrieked in panic.
WHOOO! WHOOO! WHOOO!
WHOOO! WHOOO! WHOOO!
WHOOO! WHOOO! WHOOO!
The next mont, long, desperate calls for help erupted from the mouths of these vanguard Onmyoji.
Hearing the obvious signals for help, Qin Fan just grinned, his face a mask of pure ridicule. As the calls were sent out, Qin Fan moved. He flashed forward, spun on the spot, and traced a brilliant arc through the air.
Urk!
The bound Divine-Level Onmyoji all let out a choked gasp, suddenly unable to make another sound.
With a disdainful glance at the old n who had beco Hua Xiaotian’s whetstones, Qin Fan strolled leisurely toward the entrance of the Orochi Cave. He didn’t enter, however. Instead, he completely concealed his aura and summoned the Evil Spirit Zen Staff. His intentions were now perfectly clear, and the Onmyoji he had immobilized could only watch with expressions of absolute terror.
They wanted to scream, but no sound would co out. They could already foresee what was about to happen. They strained their throats, trying desperately to speak. Despite their mouths gaping wide, despite thick veins bulging on their necks and their faces flushing crimson with effort, not a single sound escaped. Not even a whisper.
