Is there no law anymore!

This was an exceptionally classic seven-word line.

In the movies, when Feng Xiaogang would utter these words from a mouth full of uneven, yellowed, and blackened teeth, it was enough to scare children to tears. But coming from Qin Fan’s calm and composed tone, it made one feel as if they had plunged into an ice cave, struck by the chill of deep winter.

Hearing these words from Qin Fan, the rcedes driver trembled violently.

"I...! I...! I...!"

His entire body shuddered uncontrollably. Facing Qin Fan’s calm gaze, which seed like a swirling vortex, the man was utterly speechless.

"I’m asking you," Qin Fan said, his voice devoid of emotion. "Is there no law? Does being rich an you can do whatever you want? Does it an you can treat people at the bottom of society as if they aren’t human?"

"I... I... I...!" The driver kept stuttering, unable to form any other words. It was as if all his strength had been drained, and his trembling legs nearly gave out from under him.

"I’m fucking asking you, are you?!" Qin Fan’s calm deanor shattered as he roared.

Startled by the sudden bellow—THUD! The rcedes driver collapsed to his knees.

"Master Qin, I was wrong! I was wrong!" Petrified, the man could no longer control himself. He let out a miserable cry, his voice perated with terror, and began slapping his own face. "Master Qin, I was wrong! I’m not human! Please let go! Be the bigger person! I know I was wrong! Please, spare , spare !" he yelled frantically, his palms landing relentlessly on his own cheeks.

He didn’t know the background of this man, whom even the likes of Chang Yuanyi addressed respectfully as Master Qin. But seeing Chang Yuanyi himself being so subservient, he knew, despite his ignorance, that this was soone he was completely outmatched against. He understood that in this man’s eyes, he was nothing more than an ant.

"Wrong? Let you go? Be the bigger person?" Qin Fan snarled. "Then why the fuck didn’t you let them go just now? Why didn’t you show your ’magnanimous heart’ and be the bigger person then!"

As he spoke, he kicked the man square in the chest.

The man was sent flying, slamming into his own car with a horrifying CRUNCH. The side of the rcedes caved in grotesquely.

"Crawl over here," Qin Fan commanded, standing perfectly still. He pointed a finger at the ground in front of him, his gaze fixed on the man writhing in pain.

DRIP. DRIP. DRIP.

In the ensuing, deathly silence, the sound of liquid hitting the pavent echoed. A dark, wet patch was spreading down the leg of the driver’s designer trousers, dripping steadily onto the asphalt. He had pissed himself in fear at Qin Fan’s simple, brutal display.

"I fucking told you to crawl!" Qin Fan roared again when the ashen-faced, terrified man failed to respond.

The man flinched, reflexively pushing himself away from the dented car, only to stumble and collapse to the ground. As he trembled in terror, trying to scramble back up, Qin Fan’s cold voice cut through the air again. "Are you deaf? I told you to crawl."

At that mont, the entire street was so silent you could hear a pin drop. No one dared to even breathe, let alone speak, for fear of disrupting Qin Fan’s rhythm.

Jiang Yino, who had been about to call out to him, gripped the hem of her clothes tightly instead. Seeing the iron-hard fury on Qin Fan’s face, she dared not utter a single word.

"I’ll crawl! I’ll crawl! I’m crawling!" the man cried out, shuddering as terror completely consud him. He got on all fours and began to slowly, painfully, crawl toward Qin Fan.

Just as the man was about to reach his feet, Qin Fan squatted down. He grabbed a handful of the man’s hair and yanked his head up, forcing him to look at the fleet of luxury cars that now dominated Jinling Avenue.

"Does a rcedes make you special?" Qin Fan asked, his voice chillingly calm. "Does driving one make you better than everyone else? Look around. Which of these cars is any worse than yours?"

"No! None of them! None of them!" the man babbled, shaking his head frantically as overwhelming fear tore through him. His own rcedes, which he was still making monthly paynts on just to keep up appearances, was the most pathetic, low-class car in this entire fleet. The whole vehicle wasn’t even worth the price of a few tires on so of these other cars.

"Heh." A cold chuckle escaped Qin Fan’s lips.

The next instant, the hand gripping the man’s hair slamd his head into the pavent.

THUD!

The sickening sound of impact resounded. Blood imdiately stread from the man’s head and down his face.

"So driving a rcedes gives you the right to beat up an elderly sanitation worker? Then does this fleet of mine,"—he gestured to the dozens of cars—"give the right to treat you as less than human?" Qin Fan yanked the man’s head back up, forcing him to et his gaze despite the blood-streaked, grotesque ss his face had beco.

"Master Qin, I was wrong! I was wrong!" The man didn’t dare harbor a shred of hatred. Through his bloody, mangled features, he could only repeat those sa few words. Faced with such a chasm in status, what else could he possibly say?

Unmoved, Qin Fan began dragging him by the hair toward the sanitation worker.

"Master Qin!" the sanitation worker cried out in alarm, seeing Qin Fan dragging the man toward him. He didn’t know Qin Fan’s full na, but he heard everyone else use that title. This was clearly no ordinary young man. As a simple, honest citizen, he certainly didn’t dare call him ’kid’ anymore.

"Sir, are you trying to put to sha?" Qin Fan said, his tone softening as he addressed the old man. "How can I face my conscience if a man of your age calls ’Master Qin’?"

"Master Qin, no, no! You’re a good person, a good person! I... Please, just let call you that!" the old man said hurriedly, scrambling to his feet and waving his hands frantically.

Faced with the old man’s attitude, Qin Fan just shook his head helplessly and decided not to waste any more ti correcting him. He looked down at the driver, limp as a dead dog while still held by the hair. "Tell ," he said, "how could you bring yourself to strike an old man like him?"

"Master Qin... I was wrong... I was wrong..." He was already scared witless, and the blood loss from his head wound was making his consciousness fade. He could only repeat the sa words over and over in a daze.

"Sir, how did this piece of trash hit you?" Qin Fan ignored the driver’s broken-record apologies, shoving him aside to address the sanitation worker.

"Master Qin, I’m fine! My old bones are tough, I’m not really hurt! Master Qin, please, can’t we just let it go? Can we just let this be?" the sanitation worker pleaded, his voice trembling.

Qin Fan shook his head. He pressed his lips together, deciding not to ask the old man any more questions given his panicked state. Instead, he turned to Ji Yi. "Miss, can you tell ?"
