The cigarette burned down to its filter. Ma Yunbin finally erged from his state of shock, rubbing his face vigorously.
The next mont, as the lingering fear and incredible shock receded, a surge of elation rose from his heart. From Qin Fan’s words and actions during this whole trip to see the Jiao Dragon, it’s clear that I’ve earned his approval! To be recognized by a god-tier dragon slayer? What incredible luck, what an opportunity! He couldn’t help but blush as he rembered how he’d almost regretted telling Qin Fan about the Jiao Dragon back in the cave.
"Are you done calming down? If you are, let’s go," Qin Fan said calmly from inside the car, the sea breeze blowing in through the open window.
"Yes, yes, Mr. Qin!" Ma Yunbin jolted, subconsciously giving a slight bow toward the car before hurrying back into his seat. Without needing to be told, he skillfully turned on the pure guzheng music that Qin Fan enjoyed.
"Here, a piece of Jiao tendon. It’s a reward for you," Qin Fan said as Ma Yunbin started the car. He handed over a piece of tendon over ten centiters long. "After eating it, I can’t say you’ll be completely reborn, but it will at least strengthen the frail constitution of an ordinary person."

From panic to fear, from shell-shock to overwhelming excitent—in just a few dozen minutes, it felt as though Ma Yunbin had lived an entire lifeti. "Excellent!" Ma Yunbin exclaid with delight.
Hands and feet working in concert, he drifted the Ferrari through a sharp turn and shot forward into the night.
