The journey really went far longer than anyone expected. Before, Kumiko calculated that the trip from Hakodate to Yokohama would be around nine hours, what with them having to go to Sapporo first for three hours before flying to Tokyo for another three hours, and then they would go with the Shinkansen to Yokohama for around 40 minutes.
However, the first hassle ca from their trip to Sapporo. The snow seed to be a little bit too thick, blocking so of the main roads that went straight to that city. As a result, for safety reasons, they had to take several detours, which prolonged their trip unnecessarily. Fortunately, they departed five hours before their scheduled flight, so the team still arrived at the airport in ti.
"Damn, I don’t want to experience that shit again..." Higo cursed, his face pale. "I an, is that driver even sober? I swear, the way he maneuvered that humongous bus on a narrow road is crazy! Why would he be a bus driver? He should be an F1 player at this point!"
"Oh, stop whining!" Makino slapped him on the back. "We have finally arrived ahead of ti, even with all the challenges on the road, so at least, you have to give a hat’s off, right?"
"A hats-off my ass. I would rather we go slowly, okay?" Higo rolled his eyes sarcastically.
Soon enough, their plane from Jetstar Airline finally arrived, and they flew from New Chitose Airport straight to Narita International Airport for the next three hours. Fortunately, there was no problem in this phase.
However, once they landed in Tokyo, the problem started to occur.
The first thing was that not a single one of them knew where to go. Oh, they knew the theory here. They had already morized what to do during the journey. After arriving at Narita, they should go straight to the train station to catch the Shinkansen. However, it seed that this was the first ti for them all to have to go to the station from the airport, and honestly, they were completely lost right now.
"How should we do this, Senpai?" Hiroshi asked. "I an, we have seventeen people with seventeen trunks in hand. This is not going to be easy, right?"
Kumiko furrowed her brows deeply, knowing that this was indeed a problem. This was also her fault, since as the one responsible for the team, this should be sothing that the girl considered beforehand. Fortunately, they were in Tokyo at that ti, so it was easy to search for a place to order a bus for themselves. As a result, instead of going with the Shinkansen, the whole team went with the bus straight to Yokohama, only arriving just before the sky turned dark.
"Thank you, Ojiisan!"
"Don’t speed up unnecessarily again! We will call you when we have to go back to Hokkaido!"
All the players waved at the kind old man who was the bus’s driver, and the man answered with a big thumbs-up. "Co on, you guys! I might be an Edo native, but I will root for you guys! Don’t co back too quickly!"
As the bus left, all the Hakodate Nishi players sighed in relief, feeling so glad that they had finally arrived at the hotel. Fortunately, there was no problem with their administrative task, so they were allowed to bring their luggage straight to the room imdiately. Honestly, it was such a botherso task to drag the suitcase all over the place, and they just wanted to get rid of it quickly.
"I am so glad to have a hot shower again..." Takaaki sighed as he wiped his wet hair. "I an, even though the weather is not as bad as back ho, it is still cold, and sothing hot is definitely enough to make rember that I am alive..."
Higo just nodded lightly, waiting for the next person to co in.
It was before dinner ti, and right now, Higo was still waiting for his turn to take a shower here. With Takaaki, Sano, and Ishinori as his roommates, since he was the oldest, the boy got the last turn to get the shower room. Well, not that he complained about having to wait, since he wouldn’t have to rush later. Without anyone waiting, he could completely enjoy his ti there, getting rid of all the tiredness and anxiety on his shoulders.
Ishinori, who was still busy with his phone, suddenly arched one of his eyebrows slightly. It was a subtle movent, but for Higo, who didn’t do anything else, the move couldn’t escape his eyes. "What? Anything funny?" He asked.
"Oh, no. Just looking at the other team’s LINE." The defender said. "Here, I found one post from Naoya Takahashi. It seems they have been preparing for this tournant quite hard."
"Um?" Hearing that, both Takaaki and Higo leaned forward curiously.
Indeed, they found a social dia post that was filled with a series of training photos. Honestly, based on the photos’ high quality, they would think that this ca from a professional PR team. In that series of photos, Higo could see the team doing a serious training at the gym, all showing off each player’s micro expression in high definition.
The caption was simple there. ’We are ready for tomorrow!’ Just a short sentence, but the like was already close to 1000. The cute stickers also drowned the comnt line, showing how popular the boy was on social dia.
Seeing this, Higo couldn’t help but snort. "If I don’t know that he is the seventh-best player in the country, I would think that he is an artist or sothing like that. I an, this post slls so fake, right?"
"Well, at least, this is still better than your feed, Senpai." Takaaki couldn’t help but smile, throwing a jab at the goalkeeper.
Rembering all the trash posts that Higo sent online, especially when he was still debating so heatedly against all the people he didn’t even know anything about, the boy couldn’t help but blush here. This could be considered as his dark history, and Higo even started to think of cleaning up all the garbage there.
"Let’s not ntion my social dia..." Higo laughed awkwardly. "Oh, yeah, don’t forget to send the link to . We are going to face them two days later, so I need to do a little research on my own..."
