"You stay here." Bai Xifeng said calmly to Yao Huifang.

With a swift motion of her fingers, Bai Xifeng ford several hand seals. Spiritual energy gathered rapidly beneath her feet. An array formation appeared on the ground, glowing faintly with protective energy. Yao Huifang imdiately recognised it. Bai Xifeng was also an array master.

"Do not move from this place." Bai Xifeng said firmly. "As long as you remain inside the array, those people can not harm you. But if you step outside it, you will die."

"Thank you, Young Lady Bai." Yao Huifang said gratefully.

She tightly hugged Zhang Mingzhu and refused to let go, afraid the frightened girl might accidentally run into the battlefield.

anwhile, Bai Xifeng turned and walked back toward the battle. It had been a long ti since her last real fight.

The assassins soon realised that Bai Xifeng was also a threat and began targeting her as well. There were simply too many of them. Many of the guards had already been killed.

Only one guard remained alive, the sa guard who had welcod Bai Xifeng earlier. On their side, only three people remained standing in battle. Seeing this situation, the assassins began to smirk confidently.

"Si Tang, you should surrender. You will not leave this place alive today." One of the black-clothed n shouted.

He was clearly their leader.

"Never." Si Tang replied coldly.

She suddenly rushed forward and launched an attack toward the leader. Their weapons collided fiercely.

Clang! The leader easily blocked her attack.

Si Tang imdiately retreated several steps.

"Kill them all." The leader ordered coldly. "Leave no one alive."

The assassins imdiately moved. Several rushed toward Bai Xifeng and Si Tang. Others rushed directly toward Yao Huifang and Zhang Mingzhu.

"Yao Huifang!" Si Tang shouted in alarm.

Her attention wavered for a brief mont. That mont was all the assassins needed. One of the black-clothed n seized the opportunity and struck.

Bang! The attack landed heavily on Si Tang.

Bang!

The attack landed heavily on Si Tang.

Si Tang staggered backwards several steps, blood rising in her throat. She forced it down and steadied herself with her sword. The leader of the assassins sneered when he saw her injured state.

"Struggling is useless." The leader said coldly. "You will all die here today."

Si Tang tightened her grip on her sword. Even though the situation was dire, she refused to surrender.

anwhile, Bai Xifeng calmly observed the battlefield. Her gaze swept across the assassins, silently counting them. ’Too many.’ However, to Bai Xifeng, numbers had never truly mattered.

A faint, almost imperceptible smile appeared on her lips. It had indeed been a long ti since she last fought seriously. One of the assassins rushed toward her, raising his blade. Before his weapon could descend, Bai Xifeng flicked her sleeve.

Several nearly invisible powder-like particles were scattered into the air. The assassin did not even notice it. He suddenly froze. His body stiffened, and his expression twisted in confusion.

"What?" Before he could finish speaking, his entire body collapsed onto the ground with a dull thud.

Dead.

The other assassins paused when they saw this.

"What did you do?" One of them shouted angrily.

Bai Xifeng did not answer. Instead, she slowly raised her hand again. This ti, several thin silver needles appeared between her fingers. Her wrist flicked lightly. The needles shot forward like streaks of lightning.

Pff! Pff! Pff!

Three assassins suddenly clutched their throats. Their bodies trembled violently before they collapsed onto the ground one after another. The remaining assassins imdiately beca cautious.

"Poison!" One of them shouted.

The leader narrowed his eyes and stared at Bai Xifeng. "Interesting..." He had not expected such a young girl to possess such terrifying thods.

"Kill her first!" The leader ordered.

Several assassins imdiately charged toward Bai Xifeng. Their movents were fast and coordinated.

However, Bai Xifeng remained completely calm. She stepped lightly on the ground. The mont her foot touched the earth, a faint pattern suddenly lit up beneath the assassins.

An array formation.

"What?"

Before they could react, several sharp spiritual spikes erupted from the array. The assassins were forced to jump backwards in panic.

Bai Xifeng did not give them ti to recover. With another flick of her fingers, more poison powder spread silently through the air.

The assassins quickly covered their noses. However, Bai Xifeng’s poison did not rely only on breathing. One of them suddenly scread.

"My arm—!"

Dark veins rapidly spread across his skin. Within seconds, his body collapsed to the ground. Fear began to appear in the assassins’ eyes.

"This girl is dangerous!" One of them shouted.

Even Si Tang looked stunned. She had originally believed Bai Xifeng was only a talented young cultivator. But now she realised she had greatly underestimated her.

The guard who remained alive was equally shocked. He had never seen soone fight so calmly. Bai Xifeng moved through the battlefield like a ghost. Every casual movent seed effortless, yet every action brought death. anwhile, the leader’s expression slowly darkened.

"You..." He said coldly, pointing his sword at Bai Xifeng. "Who exactly are you?"

Bai Xifeng tilted her head slightly. Her expression remained calm and indifferent.

"You should not be asking that question." Bai Xifeng said softly.

The leader frowned. "Why?"

Bai Xifeng’s eyes turned cold. "Because dead people don’t need to know."

The leader’s expression darkened when he heard Bai Xifeng’s words.

"Arrogant girl!" He shouted angrily.
