"Yes, I poisoned her. So, what? Your mother snatched everything from . So, I planned to take everything back from your mother." i Lijuan said with a cold smirk.

Si Tang’s aura surged violently, pressing down on everyone present like a crushing weight. The servants imdiately dropped to their knees, trembling in fear.

"You dare..." Si Tang glared at her, the killing intent flickering dangerously in her eyes.

"Why shouldn’t I?" i Lijuan snapped. "That woman had everything! Status, respect, your father’s love... everything that should have been mine!"

Her chest heaved violently as years of resentnt finally poured out, no longer restrained.

"And you..." i Lijuan pointed a trembling finger at Si Tang, her voice rising with uncontrollable bitterness. "You were born with everything handed to you!"

Silence fell again. This ti, it was suffocating. Si Tang stared at i Lijuan quietly. Then she smiled. It was not a warm smile. It was the kind of smile that sent chills down one’s spine.

"Well... Well... Well... Good." Si Tang said softly.

i Lijuan froze when she saw Si Tang’s expression.

"Very good. Now I don’t have to feel guilty." Si Tang continued in an unusually gentle voice.

Because anyone could react, a flash of cold light cut through the air.

i Lijuan scread. Her body staggered backwards as blood splattered across the floor. She collapsed, clutching her arm... No, what remained of it. Her severed limb lay on the floor, still wrapped in its sleeve, now completely soaked in blood.

i Lijuan stared at it in horror. She had not expected that Si Tang would ignore all etiquette and strike her so decisively.

"You!" i Lijuan shrieked in pain as she glared at Si Tang.

"What?" Si Tang replied nonchalantly, as if nothing had happened.

"You dare to do sothing like this to !" i Lijuan scread hysterically.

"Well... we are going to attend the clan council tomorrow. You don’t need your arm. Your mouth is enough." Si Tang said in a chilling tone. Then she asked. "Do you want to continue?"

The courtyard was dead silent. The servants did not dare to lift their heads up. Even though they had not seen what Si Tang had done, they could easily guess from their conversation. It seed that Si Tang had cut off i Lijuan’s arm. None of them wanted her anger to turn toward them.

Si Tang turned her gaze toward the guards.

"Bind her. Keep her alive." Si Tang ordered calmly.

The guards imdiately stepped forward and approached i Lijuan.

"Don’t touch !" i Lijuan shrieked again, struggling violently.

The guards paid no attention to her resistance. Since she kept struggling, they bound her wound roughly, causing her even more unbearable pain.

"Guard this courtyard. Don’t let anyone escape. Tomorrow morning, drag her to the clan hall. She still has much to answer for." Si Tang instructed.

"Yes, Young Madam." The guards responded in unison.

"If anyone tries to sneak out, just kill them." Si Tang added coldly.

The servants, who were still bowing with their heads pressed to the ground, trembled even harder. So of them had originally harboured thoughts of escaping, but now they did not dare act on them anymore. They still wanted to live.

Si Tang then left i Lijuan’s courtyard with Bai Xifeng.

...

The clan hall stood at the heart of the Si Family estate, its towering pillars carved with ancient symbols of authority and legacy. Torches burned brightly along the walls, casting long, flickering shadows across the polished stone floor.

By the ti Si Tang arrived, the elders had already gathered. They sat in a semi-circle on elevated seats, their expressions solemn and imposing.

At the very centre sat Si Wuntian, the current patriarch of the Si Family. His face was dark and unreadable.

The heavy doors creaked open. All eyes turned toward the entrance. Si Tang stepped in first, walking forward with a calm yet icy expression.

Behind her, the guards dragged a bloodied and pale i Lijuan into the hall. Everyone was shocked by the sight.

Since all attention was drawn to i Lijuan, no one noticed Bai Xifeng entering quietly behind them. She moved toward a corner, intending to watch the unfolding drama from the shadows.

"What is the aning of this?" One of the elders demanded sharply.

"Who is this?" Another elder questioned.

i Lijuan collapsed onto the floor, barely conscious, her clothes soaked in blood. Her severed arm had been hastily bandaged, but the crimson stain continued to spread.

Others might not recognise i Lijuan, but Si Wuntian did. His gaze darkened the mont he saw her.

"Si Tang, explain." Si Wuntian ordered.

Si Tang stepped forward and bowed slightly, just enough to show respect, but not submission.

"Father, I have uncovered the truth behind Mother’s illness." Si Tang said clearly.

The hall fell silent. Si Wuntian’s fingers tightened on the armrest of his seat.

"Continue." Si Wuntian stated.

"Her illness is not natural. She fell sick because she was poisoned. For years." Si Tang continued.

Murmurs erupted among the elders.

"Impossible..."

"Who would dare..."

"That’s right. Who would have the audacity to poison the patriarch’s wife?"

Si Tang raised her hand slightly.

Understanding the signal, the guards imdiately brought Jung Wang forward and forced him to kneel in the centre of the hall.

"This man is the one who poisoned my mother. He confessed that he was acting under soone’s orders." Si Tang stated.

Si Wuntian’s gaze sharpened like a blade.

Jung Wang trembled violently under that terrifying stare.

"Tell ... Who ordered you to poison my wife?" Si Wuntian asked while glaring at Jung Wang sharply.

"That... that..." Jung Wang stamred, his entire body shaking uncontrollably.
