A girl standing in the regular line watched intently as Bai Xifeng approached the guard. "Sir, you can not be so biased!" The girl shouted toward the guards.
Everyone in the vicinity turned to look at the girl. Even Bai Xifeng, who was just about to step through the gate, paused and turned her eyes toward the stranger.
"What exactly are you talking about?" The guard asked with a stern voice.
"Sir, why did you let that girl cut the line and allow her to enter first? Is it simply because she looks beautiful?" The girl pointed an accusing finger at Bai Xifeng.
Bai Xifeng, finding herself suddenly singled out, was montarily dumbfounded. She had certainly not expected to be pointed out in such a public manner.
"What are you talking about?" The guard repeated, his brow furrowing in annoyance.
"That girl did not queue up like the rest of us. She just cut the line. Instead of reprimanding her, you are just allowing her to enter the city. Do you have any explanation for this?" The girl demanded.
Hearing the girl’s bold questioning, the other people who had been waiting in the heat began to think the sa thing. Murmurs broke out through the crowd.
"Yeah... That’s right! Why don’t you ask her to line up as well?"
"I just saw you scold soone else for cutting in line just a mont ago. So, why don’t you scold that girl as well?"
More and more people began to loudly question the guard’s integrity.
"Silence!" The guard shouted, his voice echoing.
The disgruntled crowd went silent instantly.
"She is a student from Tianlong School. The students from Tianlong School possess a special pass allowing them to enter the city using this specific entrance. This gate is reserved only for those with a special pass, such as the City Lord’s representatives and mbers of the Tianlong School." The guard explained firmly.
"Do you understand now?" Another guard added, his hand resting on his weapon.
Hearing the official explanation, the people finally cald down and realised their mistake. The guard then turned back toward Bai Xifeng.
"My lady, you may proceed now." The guard said respectfully to Bai Xifeng.
"Oh... yeah... okay..." Bai Xifeng nodded, still a bit shaken by the confrontation.
Bai Xifeng realized that she should not waste any more of her ti here. She needed to return to the school as quickly as possible. She did not want to call upon her contracted beast, fearing that such a sight might attract even more unwanted attention. Consequently, she decided to run toward her destination as fast as possible.
Finally, she managed to arrive at the school’s main entrance. The guards there looked at Bai Xifeng as she approached. She took out her docunts and showed them to the guards for inspection. The guards checked the papers and nodded. They swung the heavy gate open, and Bai Xifeng finally stepped onto the familiar school grounds.
"Oh... I am finally back." Bai Xifeng whispered to herself.
She walked toward the Inscriber Division. When she saw the familiar sight of the bamboo forest within the Inscriber Division, her heart cald instantly. She walked further in and spotted Ji Yuan sitting at the gazebo. Ji Yuan appeared to be deeply focused, writing sothing down.
"Teacher Ji... I am back!" Bai Xifeng announced her arrival.
"Hmm... Welco back." Ji Yuan said without looking up at first. Then he asked, "How was your trip?"
"I am glad that you asked, Teacher Ji... I am so happy because I managed to get a lot of interesting things during my journey. Oh... I also got sothing special for you!" Bai Xifeng said excitedly.
Ji Yuan raised his eyebrow curiously. He wondered what on earth this girl could have gotten for him.

She decided to take them out and serve them. She also pulled out so supplentary dishes she had purchased from the restaurant back in Lotus City. Because of her storage thods, the dishes were still piping hot. It was as if the food had just been taken out of a professional kitchen.
Bai Xifeng brought the spread over to Ji Yuan.
