However, it wasn’t Kyle who needed the extra training; it was Ollie.
It already felt like a few days after staying in Luca’s space for as long as possible, but in reality, it was only yesterday when they signed up for the rcenary exams.
Whenever a class ended, a few students would hide away before vanishing into thin air, hoping to prolong the ti they had left.
And Ollie had already dragged everything cha-related that he owned through the gate of his allotted house. This was part of his last-ditch effort to learn as fast as possible.
Their houses were relatively small, but he was just glad the others had spare materials he could use for his house. It was possible to upgrade it anyway.
He just needed to pass first.
It was such a giant hurdle that just thinking about it gave him such intense anxiety!
And this was likely how Luca noticed Ollie’s irregular behavior. Although the mop thought he was being covert, it was actually rather apparent to everyone that he was having a full-blown ltdown.
In fact, that was why they all gathered the materials for his house before he even had to ask. And they just collectively pretended they had so spare items so as not to burden the struggling student with them.
None of them were chanics, and they could only offer chas that needed repair as practice.
Luca even tried preparing calming teas for his brother, but every ti he gave Ollie a snack or a drink, he looked like he wanted to cry more.
It was because Ollie felt guilty.
He thought in his colorful imagination that Luca was doing this because he was happy that all of them would be in a guild after the exam.
What he didn’t know was that Luca only gave the little snacks to Ollie because he was worried that his brother looked too constipated since the day they left the cafeteria.
However, at one point, the dam broke, and Ollie had to surrender to Luca, who gave him fried dumplings.
Ollie was a crying ss, and Luca was surprised to hear about his brother’s predicant!
"I... I didn’t want to disappoint you, brother. But I really don’t know how it would be possible for to pass the exam!" He honestly thought about dropping to the Infantry division, but that kick woke him from his dreams.
He might not even be able to stay in school if he dropped into such a violent course! Ollie looked forlorn as he gobbled up the fried dumplings.
They were delicious and had to be savored because when else would he be able to eat such a thing again? Especially after Luca kicks him out for being an incompetent brother?!
Ollie shed even more tears as his imagination ran wild.
On the other hand, Luca was surprised at this predicant!
Luca thought Ollie was fine, considering all the books he had, but his poor brother had been suffering all this ti. Luca was stunned to learn about the kind of exam Ollie would have to take and felt that he needed to do sothing to help.
"Ollie, is there anything I can help you with? Do you need more books? More parts? Or More money?" Luca felt terrible for his poor brother and was willing to part with their hard-earned money if it was going to help him.
But Ollie, who heard Luca’s willingness to part with a Star coin, could only sob more. His brother was really so kind, so why was he so incompetent?!
"It’s not that... If only the problem was money!" But Ollie’s issue was the lack of practice, a clearly lacking foundation, a lack of material sources, and practically a wayward brain!
So many things were lacking! How was he going to survive with just a few days left?! And even if they technically tripled the practice ti they should’ve had, he still wouldn’t be able to fit years of knowledge in such a short ti!
Ollie voiced his concerns, prodded by the aroma of the dumplings to expose his internal lodrama.
"Brother, I only have an average brain. I cannot learn the sa way you do!"
"Huh? But why not, brother?" Luca was confused because he thought he wasn’t particularly intelligent; he just knew how to inscribe knowledge into his spiritual sea of consciousness.
Ollie initially pouted when he heard that, as it was a genius thing to say. To Ollie, his little brother was one such genius who couldn’t understand the plight of normies like him.
But Luca suddenly grinned and said, "You just need to learn the technique to inscribe knowledge, and you’ll be able to learn all of it."
Huh?
And that was the last day Ollie was found alive.
If only.
But no, Ollie was still hanging on to dear life and regretting not choosing the path of an Infantry Soldier.
He did not think that Luca would be a monster teacher.
The mont he tried teaching his little brother the inscribing techniques he had learned in Tesseris, he transford into a different animal.
But Luca was just literally emulating what he had heard before, teaching him with the sa exact tone and manner as he had thought because that was obviously effective.
Ollie paled as he tried following his brother’s thods. Technically, his spiritual abilities were close to an A-rank, and he usually did well in classes that required the use of spiritual abilities, but what kind of being was his brother to be this proficient?
He didn’t have visual resonance, not just yet, but as soone so close to being an A-rank since birth, he could feel the fluctuations of spiritual energy around him. And it was overwhelming.
But his little brother looked perfectly fine, unlike him, who was a ss by then.
And then he thought he would be able to get so rest once his spiritual energy was close to depletion, but Luca brought out sothing possibly more scandalous than his shotgun marriage.
Spiritual water.
Holy Hell.
His little brother had spiritual water and was torturing him with it.
Admittedly, he was very excited when he used a drop but was surprised when Luca told him to guzzle it up.
"Luca, you’re telling to drink all of it?! But this jug could be auctioned to buy a planet!"
His father once told them that a long ti ago, his great-grandfather found several drops of Spiritual water from an uncharted planet and auctioned it off.
It was actually that money that cushioned off their family for generations to co, making it the spring that allowed their family to prosper into what they are today.
And his little brother was telling him to drink a jug.
Ollie was having internal bleeding.
He had to make sure no one in his family would find out until he succumbed to a natural death, or he might be dissected for being too irresponsible and frivolous!
But that would only be necessary if he manages to survive this little brother of his.
How could life be so difficult for an honest person? Ollie wondered as he committed the cri of drinking enough spiritual water to review for an exam.
