Ironically, the new mbers of the Sanctuary needed their own CP; it was just that: they needed Contribution Points instead of Corruption Points.

However, to avoid confusion, it was made into WCP or Work Contribution Points to avoid alarming the little golden dragon, who had a habit of checking all his funds.

As the Union Master, he’d be able to see the balance of these people’s points, which might give him the illusion or a scare.

So, WCP it was.

They initially offered only a few fruits, such as apples, oranges, and waterlons. The team also decided to include banana chips and popcorn, which Luca volunteered.

"It’s at 100%, Luca." Xavier wanted to continue his supposed question until he saw Luca’s expression.

"Host, I think it happened because these two are contaminated with corruption. And that might also happen to the other 52 in the space."

"Wait. What?! 52?!"

There were 52 contaminated beings in the space, yet he didn’t know.

The puzzled Guide wanted to know, but now was not the ti. While beasts survived inside the cubes, they weren’t sure how humans would fare.

And so they had to rush back into Luca’s space to see if they could open it with the purification chamber.

The three other sub-heads had to be left behind, but not after being scolded by the Duke, who was furious that his people continued working even when they had been contaminated like this.

At this, he ordered everyone afflicted with the Imbalance due to contamination to be gathered imdiately.

While the Duke knew that many still worked, he didn’t expect two of his most trusted n to be on active duty even as they were contaminated.

And so the Duke, Xavier, and especially Luca could only pray that this works as right now, they didn’t have enough CP for revive pills!

This ti, the anticipation was palpable because it was mostly fear and not excitent for additional CP.

So when the chamber doors locked with a chanical hiss, and the cube with two people was placed in, the spectators felt like sending in prayers.

The low hum now sounded a bit ominous, and the sharp crackle of energy made the small animal jump as it snapped through the chamber.

Luca bit his lip as he watched the cube’s outer layer open. The familiar black tendrils of corruption twisted violently before being drawn toward the purification field and converging into a singular, radiant point.

It was just that instead of the howls they had heard before, there was nothing as the people inside passed out.

And when the enlarged spatial cube opened, out ca the two bodies that almost slumped forward, almost face-planting.

The three rushed over, and the Duke got there first, intending to check if they were breathing.

And they were.

Their chest rose and fell, and the Duke, together with his son, almost collapsed on the floor in relief.

Then, it was only after D-29 confird their vitals and cleared contamination levels that the three spectators managed to relax a little to check the prompts.

Luca was not sure how to feel as his face looked a bit distorted.

On the one hand, they managed to get CP this way, but on the other hand, they almost died of stress from what happened to these two soldiers.

But before he could process things, Xavier reminded him, "Luca, we have to leave before they wake up."

Although they were now core-contracted under him, this didn’t an that bandits or criminals would honor the pact or care for their lives.

And while they wouldn’t easily betray him, it wouldn’t be betrayal when soone was under torture.

The Trio, who carried with them two passed-out soldiers, returned to be welcod by the remaining sub-heads.

"Good. Establish a temporary dical tent, and make sure to prioritize the beds." Asked the Duke, who turned over the two to the waiting doctors.

However, before the doctors could rush out, Luca handed over a few vials with instructions to give them to patients in small quantities first.

The Doctors nodded, unsure at first, but even if they tried denying anything, it would be futile as they were currently standing in the middle of what felt like Utopia.

"Young Lord, what happened to them?" asked one of the Doctors who still had to get an idea of what he had to treat.

"Uhm...Doc, please check for his contamination levels." was all that Luca could say.

They couldn’t really explain how these people were churned over in the giant purifying chamber as the first human testers.

But the human testers made it.

The doctors who almost passed out after seeing the cleared contamination report also made it.

So, in light of this matter and in the Duke’s angered state, the remaining 52 contaminated mbers better churn themselves into repentance!

At least soone’s earning CP for this!
