Now reading: Chapter 249: Level C from The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL], a Yaoi novel by Kairie.

Deputy Officer Curtis was working on his backlog when he heard two people rushing over to his office.

He activated the automatic doors, figuring that no one would be running like that if there was no actual ergency.

"Speak." He commanded, especially after watching the two soldiers stare at each other hesitantly.

"Sir! There seems to be an anomaly in the Guild Rankings."

"The Guild Rankings? So, you an to tell you guys ran over here for that?!" Curtis asked in exasperation.

"Sir, we didn’t feel the need to report it when it was just that. But, Sir, right about now, we’re getting landing permission requests from over hundreds of ships."

"Hundreds of ships?!"

"Hundreds of Battleships, Sir!" We look like we’re under attack! But all of them are just asking for permission to land!"

"What?! Show ! And what does that have to do with an anomaly in the Guild Rankings?!"

The soldier handed over the file, and Curtis was surprised to see that soone had earned over 60 million credits in less than a day.

"Is this a joke? Or did soone miss a few zeroes?" murmured the Deputy Officer, who only stopped when he saw the na of this likely cheating Guild.

Dungeon Guardians.

"???"

Wait.

Isn’t that the Imperial Crown Prince’s new guild?

"What’s the destination of all these requesting ships?" His brows furrowed as his hunch intensified.

"That’s just it. They’re all going to the Guild that just got promoted from Level D to Level C in a day."

"The Dungeon Guardians Guild, Sir."

It was the most absurd thing they’d seen since the last battle for supremacy.

Seeing a guild that has never even taken a military contract jump onto the next guild level in a day would surely attract attention.

Then, add all of those requests, and you have sothing worthy of being escalated, and so here they were reporting this oddity.

"They have job contracts for the 60 million credits? Show ."

And they really did.

"Sir! They even have a contract with the Imperial Palace!"

Now, Curtis wasn’t as nervous, considering that was the actual Imperial Prince on there, but for him to have a contract with the Palace that could risk exposing his identity? Highly unusual.

Then he saw it.

There was a contract from House Azren, another from House Vantari, and even one from House Zorath.

It was one thing to look like nepotism was in play, but when other families with their own guilds request a contract, soone better start asking around.

And so Curtis ran over to the Marshal.

"Sir, I apologize for the disturbance, but you ought to see this." He asked before looking up from the terminal, only to see the Marshal watching a projected feed.

"Actually, Curtis, it would be better if you watched it," shrugged Eden, who had clearly arrived before him.

"Huh?"

Then he saw it.

Outside that rickety old shack that was called a base was an insanely long line of people and their pets.

Pets?!

And if soone unfamiliar with society looked at it, they’d think it was a pet show.

But you see, standing around, waiting for what seed like their turn were the Heads of the Houses.

These weren’t even the Butlers or the assistants!

These were the actual Heads!

Save for that one sudden dip in height.

The Imperial Princess!

"Marshal! That...Isn’t that Princess Gianina?!"

The little Princess was actually sitting on one large wolf while carrying what seed to be a small duck.

"Sir! What is happening?!" Pleaded the confused Deputy Officer, who could only watch as the Marshal and Eden looked at the feed as if they had expected this.

"You might want to sit down for this, Curtis."

"Eden, show it to him."

Now, Curtis wasn’t one to disobey orders, but what exactly did he miss that sothing so absurd was happening, and he had no idea about it?

But then he realized he did.

For just the other day, they were out there approving the contract listing for this very dubious thing.

What he was watching was apparently Earl Charles Nolan’s earlier live stream, whose Livestream handle was @owInTheStars.

At first, he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to be seeing until the cara shifted into focus.

It was Mr. Mittens.

A cat known to most people in the Empire.

But this Mr. Mittens was not one that he had seen before, but one that looked like he had eaten about 20 other pets.

"?!"

"He was apparently not your typical house cat but a Phasetail Lynx," said Eden, who could see the confusion on the Deputy Officer’s face.

"A Phasetail Lynx? Isn’t that an endangered beast?"

"Oh, like almost every other beast?" shrugged Eden, who actually had a point.

"But how did he return to that size? Don’t they require a massive supply of spiritual energy?"

"Exacty." Said the Marshal, who continued, "He’s been rehabilitated."

"Lord Nolan didn’t ntion it explicitly, but anyone who’s had exposure to the study of such beasts, mainly those from the military, know just how much camoufladging technology was based on the Phasetail Lynx."

"So, they know...that sohow that beast managed to get enough energy."

"Though honestly, if I were a beast, I’d be walking myself into that office, myself."

You are one, a sloth. Or maybe a manic cat. Thought Curtis, who had to stop himself from giving her a side-eye.

"I can see that there must be sothing special for the beasts, but what was so important that these Patriarchs and Matriarchs ca over themselves?"

"Check this list. We actually approved it ourselves. We just didn’t equate everything until today."

His eye twitched.

And it twitched even more the mont he saw what this VIP Lounge served.

Fruits and what definitely looked like a lemonade.

Spiritual fucking fruits.

No wonder they were all lining up there.

"But Sir..." his head tilted after rembering one important fact.

"Just how did this thing fit inside? Did they excavate for this?"

Curtis rembered what this Guild Base actually looked like. And even now, his brain forgot to recognize just what kind of building they were lining up for.

An actual shack.

And yet, none of those who entered actually left.

So. just how were they all fitting in there?

"We wouldn’t know unless we make a trip. Count yourself lucky we can co in for inspection."

"And I’m going to have to see just how my niece managed to get in here without rembering her poor uncle." Sighed the Marshal, who had stopped being sure of things since everything had gone to hell.

But soon, they’ll know what hell would actually feel like.
