But in truth, it wasn’t only the guests who reacted to Xavier’s supposedly quiet entrance.

He didn’t even make much of a sound at all. With the Activity Center buzzing with movent, voices overlapping, machines chiming, and tickets spilling everywhere, no one should have noticed him imdiately. And yet competition had reached a point where everyone was watching everyone else. People needed to know who was earning tickets, who was changing machines, and who was suddenly gaining montum.

Eyes were sharp. Attention was sharper.

Still, Luca noticed him even with his back turned away from the entrance.

He always did.

But he hadn’t even turned around yet when Princess Kira suddenly elbowed him in the side. She likely ant it as a gentle nudge, but coming from soone built like a compressed tank, it nearly sent him stumbling.

"Princess Kira?" Luca squeaked, catching himself.

He almost fell anyway.

Not because of the elbow.

But because he understood why she was vibrating with excitent.

Walking toward them was a living piece of art.

He was in uniform, just like the rest of them.

Clean lines. Dark fabric. Gold accents catching the light with every step. His coat sat perfectly on his broad shoulders, tailored in a way that emphasized his height and build without looking ostentatious.

Really, they were wearing the sa things and yet he always seed to look better in the sa clothes.

But it wasn’t that which gripped his attention but the realization that the man’s white hair, usually worn loose, had been tied back into a high ponytail, exposing his neck and jaw in a way that made Luca’s brain short-circuit.

It highlighted everything.

The sharp line of his jaw. The calm confidence in his stride and the way his hair followed as if listening to a command stood out. The composed expression that sohow made him look even more dangerous while doing absolutely nothing.

Luca felt his knees weaken.

And then he saw it.

Nestled securely inside the front pocket of Xavier’s uniform, just visible enough to be unmistakable, was a small plushie.

Black unruly hair, familiar golden eyes.

His plushie.

Its little head peeked out as if observing the world with quiet curiosity, big eyes stitched carefully, tiny hands resting against the edge of the pocket.

Luca froze.

Princess Kira made a strangled sound beside him.

"He’s wearing it? Is that how it’s supposed to be used?!" she whispered, eyes blazing with a frightening level of seriousness. "He’s actually wearing it in public."

Luca’s face went bright red.

Xavier walked closer, completely unbothered by the sudden spike in attention, as if this was the most natural thing in the world. People stared. So gasped. Others pointed. A few nearly tripped over themselves.

Princess Kira leaned closer, voice low and intense. "I also want to be carried around."

Her expression said this was not a joke.

Luca made a small, helpless noise and covered his face with both hands.

He suddenly realized sothing horrifying.

He had put Xavier’s plushie in his pocket.

He should have worn it.

He absolutely should have worn it out just like that.

__

Thankfully, Luca didn’t have the ti to fully combust from embarrassnt.

Because a certain father and a tiny imperial princess ca charging toward them at such terrifying speed that one might have assud they had installed propellers sowhere along the way.

They moved fast.

And yet it felt entirely justified.

After all, how could they not run when they had just witnessed sothing so utterly unthinkable?

Duke Leander barely registered the formal greeting before his soul nearly left his body.

"Good afternoon, Your Imperial Highness," Xavier said calmly, inclining his head toward Princess Nina before turning to Leander. "Good afternoon, Your Grace."

Leander opened his mouth.

Closed it.

Opened it again.

"G-good aft—" He really wanted to finish the greeting, but his eyes couldn’t help but lock onto the tiny thing peeking out of his son-in-law’s chest pocket. He saw it from afar earlier, but thought maybe his extrely great eyesight was just malfunctioning.

But no.

It was exactly as he had seen it, and even more!

His voice dissolved into static. "Y-you—!"

This ti, he might have completed that sentence, but Xavier, rcifully, interrupted him.

"Father?" Xavier said gently. "Would you like to see it?"

The Duke’s knees almost buckled.

Of course, he wanted to see it! He would have wanted to see it yesterday!

He wanted to see it so badly his hands were already shaking. His heart pounded like it was preparing for battle. His eyes burned with sothing dangerously close to tears.

More than that, a new and terrifying realization struck him.

He needed front pockets.

Imdiately.

All of his clothes would need to be altered. No. Replaced. Only garnts with front pockets would be acceptable from this point forward. How had he lived without them until now? How had anyone?

He did think about how pocket-sized the plushie was, but he never imagined it could be reverently carried around like that! Even the statues back at ho could only be looked at! And yet this one...! This one could be taken everywhere!

Leander Kyros would never go back.

Much like how his uncompromising fashion sense had once shaped ring proposals across the Empire, history would one day rember him as the man who popularized the absolute necessity of front pockets.

But that was for later.

Right now, his blood froze.

Xavier reached into his uniform pocket and carefully took the plushie out.

Leander stopped breathing.

It was not wearing a uniform.

It was wearing pajamas.

Soft ones. Dark-colored fabric. Long yet tiny sleeves. Little fuzzy shoes that should not exist in this world and yet very much did.

The Duke made a strangled sound.

The man couldn’t handle it.

But to his credit, it wasn’t only him, as even Princess Nina swayed on her feet.

The little girl was experiencing an out-of-body experience especially after seeing those little fuzzy shoes that got her dizzy.

Xavier opened his mouth, likely to explain how he had co into possession of such a priceless treasure.

But as if saved by the bell, they weren’t able to hear Xavier’s explanation about how he fortuitously received such a windfall because, off to the side, Luca’s terminal beeped in alarm, drawing everyone’s attention.

"Oh!" Luca said, jolting upright. "The live cooking lessons are starting soon. I guess we should leave now to prepare!"

The room froze.

"We?" Princess Nina asked slowly.

Every adult turned toward her.

Luca nodded earnestly. "Ah, yes, Your Highness. Xavier and I need to double-check the demo kitchen preparations."

Silence.

Then.

"!!!"

Princess Nina’s eyes widened so much they nearly popped out of her head.

"H-he..." she whispered. "Is he also joining the class?"

She received a slow nod in return.

Yep. He really was.

Wow!

She should absolutely inform their parents!
