Now reading: Chapter 67: Eternal Morning Star from The Rule-Breaker of the Doomsday Game, a Sci-fi novel by Water Lord Taibai.

’If I burned that thing, the Tai Sui God would probably skyrocket in power instantly.’ Qi Suian muttered to himself, looking at the massive shadow behind the moon.

However, as good as the idea was, it was impossible to implent. The Profound God’s body, even by a rough visual estimate, was clearly larger than the planet he was on.

The Tai Sui God’s lting Furnace was nowhere near big enough to hold it.

Besides, he wouldn’t dare get close. It was a cosmic god, after all. Even in death, it was far from sothing he could trifle with.

’It seems now that what fell wasn’t the Profound God at all, but just a tiny, insignificant piece of It.’

’Otherwise, if it were the complete Profound God, the planet would probably be long gone.’

’Unfortunately, the Tai Sui God’s evolution count and grade are too low for it to observe the Mysterious Divine Corpse. Otherwise, it could have helped calculate the approximate distance.’

Although it was behind the moon, it was surely a considerable distance away from it. That was why the Mysterious Divine Corpse would only arrive after so sort of Earth-Moon collision.

As for how long it would take to arrive, Qi Suian knew little about astronomy, so he couldn’t make the calculation.

There was definitely no ti to learn it now. He hadn’t taken the Death Potion, so his efficiency wasn’t high.

He now suspected that the so-called "life force of the Profound God" and the "consciousness within the source of the virus" were actually just rotten flesh and bacteria.

It was simply the transfer from a god to humans that had produced such a terrifying transformation.

’Then what is this "Destiny"? Could it be so kind of energy from the Profound God’s original body?’ Qi Suian really wanted to figure it out.

However, he understood this was far beyond his ability to investigate. A single, tiny piece of its flesh had brought about the apocalypse for an entire planet.

It had even given him an X-rank talent. An existence like that was simply not sothing he could study right now.

So, he could only ignore the changes to the moon and the drifting divine corpse.

For him, getting the Immortal Satellite was mission accomplished.

There was no point in dwelling on the rest. It was useless to think about problems he couldn’t solve.

If it really ca back to life or had so other impact, there would be no escape for him.

This discovery, however, completely eliminated any possibility of Qi Suian remaining in this world. If he didn’t leave, he would likely die.

’No wonder this place was chosen by the Doomsday Ga. This planet is truly facing a massive apocalypse.’

As for how the Profound God died, Qi Suian hadn’t even entertained the thought. Never mind how many years it had been dead; the very fact that a cosmic god of this caliber could die ant it was a matter far beyond what a small fry like him could ever hope to get involved in.

’But in comparison, the Doomsday Ga seems even more pathetic. A tiny fragnt of a cosmic god produced an X-rank talent that the ga itself is helpless against.’

Of course, Qi Suian didn’t know how powerful the Profound God had been. But he had seen that the Doomsday Ga was powerless against him—a so-called "violator"—and he had only received a minuscule boon from the Profound God.

Perhaps when the Profound God was still alive, It could have easily crushed the Doomsday Ga.

This was good news for Qi Suian. If the Doomsday Ga were truly all-powerful, wouldn’t that an he had no way of ever escaping it?

He certainly wasn’t going to be tied to the Doomsday Ga for his entire life. Therefore, the ga refusing to grant him power or opportunities to beco stronger was actually a good thing. It ant that any strength he gained was truly his own.

If the Doomsday Ga could grant rewards to survivors, it could probably take them away just as easily.

It might not be a match for the Profound God, but could it not even handle the survivors under its own control?

anwhile, the Tai Sui God successfully retrieved the Immortal Satellite, and Qi Suian installed it into a module slot.

A new SSS-rank module was born.

[SSS·Eternal Morning Star]

Imdiately, another object appeared around the Tai Sui God, in addition to its orbiting Floating Cannons. It was a palm-sized item that resembled a celestial satellite.

"It’s too fragile." Qi Suian wasn’t pleased that an auxiliary module was located outside the main body.

This ant that enemies could target it as a weak point.

"AI Brain, is there a way to secure the satellite? For example, can we stick it inside the Tai Sui God’s body?" Qi Suian asked.

He couldn’t figure it out himself, so his only recourse was to ask the AI Brain.

If the AI Brain couldn’t solve it either, he would just assign a couple of Floating Cannons to protect it.

As for the cannons obstructing his line of sight, that wasn’t an issue. After all, neither Qi Suian nor the AI Brain relied solely on visual observation; they had the reconnaissance network to back them up.

[It can only be fixed externally for now. Securing it in a fixed position would make the weak point even more obvious. An irregular orbit is more cost-effective, and it can be used for an ergency block in a crisis.]

[Forcibly integrating it for protection by the Tai Sui God would significantly reduce its original effectiveness. The loss outweighs the gain.]

The aning was clear: it wasn’t possible.

However, upon hearing it could take a hit for him, Qi Suian suddenly found the little satellite much more appealing.

He didn’t need to worry if it got damaged; the nano-repair bots could restore it.

Qi Suian’s dissatisfaction had been with its lack of function while orbiting externally. Now that it had one, he no longer found it objectionable.

After getting what they ca for, the AI Brain imdiately began to pilot the Tai Sui God in its descent. The satellite started to spin faster, emitting a faint glow.

It was coordinating with the reconnaissance network, running at overload capacity to locate the special zombies for Qi Suian.

With the satellite’s assistance, the AI Brain’s efficiency naturally beca much higher.

As for how it would filter the results, that part was simple: it just had to find intelligent Tier One Zombies.

"Co to think of it," Qi Suian suddenly realized, "shouldn’t this satellite’s functions only work from up in the sky? How is it supposed to be effective down on the ground..."

Whether it was a communications satellite for telecom relays, a military satellite for photo-reconnaissance, or any other type, it certainly couldn’t use its primary functions from ground level.

[The Tai Sui God’s evolution count is insufficient to deploy the Morning Star satellite’s projection sub-units. For now, it can only serve as an auxiliary module to enhance the reconnaissance network.]

When Qi Suian heard that, it all made sense. It wasn’t that the Eternal Morning Star module was useless, but that the Tai Sui God’s evolution level was too low to unleash its full potential.

Otherwise, the satellite just floating next to him would be completely useless.

’Does this an the satellite can enhance not only the reconnaissance network module, but also communications and resource modules?’

[Correct. After receiving the boost from the Eternal Morning Star, the Net-Weaving Capture Matrix’s resource acquisition efficiency has increased, which will indirectly accelerate the Tai Sui God’s evolution.]

The predecessor of the Eternal Morning Star, the Immortal Satellite, was not a single-function device. It integrated the capabilities of all types of satellites short of an interstellar probe designed for planetary reconnaissance.

This naturally included the functions of a resource satellite, which captures images of surface and subterranean compositions for resource exploration.

As for boosting a communications module, that was a moot point; the Tai Sui God didn’t even have one.
