Now reading: Chapter 79: Another Shot from the Floating Cannon? Good Idea from The Rule-Breaker of the Doomsday Game, a Sci-fi novel by Water Lord Taibai.

The new module, ford from the inhibition of the Skin of Wisdomlessness and the consciousness of Celestial Fate: Profound, was still in the process of integrating.

According to the AI’s projections, it would take about five days.

Qi Suian wasn’t particularly concerned about this. If all went according to plan, he would already be in a new Doomsday World in five days.

There were only three days left until the Blood Moon Night event was complete.

At the sa ti, the Blood Moon Shadow on Qi Suian had also reached its final stage. The power boost was indeed significant, but it ca with the side effect of influencing him from ti to ti.

Thankfully, his supercharged state, combined with a protagonist halo that was powerful enough, allowed him to remain lucid for half an hour even after reaching the final stage.

It was even simpler after the half-hour was up. He would just die and revive, which reset the tir. Essentially, this was a form of radiation that needed to build up to be effective.

"What do you think? How should I go about provoking the Blood Moon? Get it to speed up and smash this planet to smithereens?"

Previously, such thoughts were the influence of Celestial Fate: Profound’s consciousness, but now, the idea was purely Qi Suian’s.

An idea can an different things at different stages.

[You could try sending insulting signals to the Blood Moon via satellite.]

"Question its parentage? I doubt that’ll work." Qi Suian felt the plan was rather unrealistic.

For one simple reason, the entity wasn’t human. So, verbal provocations might not even be understood. And even if they were, they wouldn’t necessarily have any effect.

[Alternatively, provoke it by threatening sothing it desires.]

The AI offered another solution.

"Right now, on this entire planet, the most valuable asset is , right?"

"I’m not about to gamble on whether I can still revive after being devoured by the Blood Moon."

It wasn’t a necessary risk, so Qi Suian didn’t have to take the gamble.

Winning the gamble might lead to a massive payoff, but the price of losing was himself. Why court death when he didn’t have to?

Qi Suian’s mind raced, and an idea ca to him.

"What do you think? How about we go up into space to provoke it, and once it’s angry, we just drift off into the cosmos and make a run for it?"

Qi Suian didn’t want to use himself as bait, but he could certainly provoke it from a distance.

Simply put, he could just use the Floating Cannons for harassnt.

The Tai Sui God, with an armor rating of 14, possessed fourteen Floating Cannons. Although this was a far cry from a complete swarm of interstellar Dark Energy Floating Cannons, it was already capable of executing small-scale strategies.

While punching a hole in the Blood Moon was out of the question, scratching its surface shouldn’t be a problem.

[Your plan is riskier than mine. However, you possess a protagonist halo. You should proceed with your plan.]

The AI was basically telling him to go for it, to be as reckless as possible.

Otherwise, what was the point of having a protagonist halo?

After all, he most likely wouldn’t die. Besides, the current Qi Suian and the Blood Moon could be considered to share the sa origin.

If he really landed on the Blood Moon, he might be able to obtain imasurable benefits from it.

At the very least, collecting even a tiny sample from the Blood Moon would be a huge win.

"Alright, that’s the plan. We’ll pop out of the atmosphere and, from a good distance, use a Dark Energy Beam to go for that mole on its face."

As for actually landing on the Blood Moon, he’d have to play it by ear.

Qi Suian wasn’t completely confident. It was true he had the protagonist halo as a safety net, but protagonists weren’t unkillable.

Even regressors died.

As for the old saying about being punished for not taking what heaven provides... he was about to flee the planet anyway, so who cared what happened to this world?

Worst-case scenario, he’d stick to the plan and drift through space. He didn’t have to worry about suffocation anyway. He’d just die and revive at most.

The Tai Sui God soared into the sky, quickly breaking through the atmosphere.

The colossal Blood Moon drew nearer. It seed to have sensed the sudden appearance of the little bug that was Qi Suian, as countless rifts materialized across its surface.

Through his reconnaissance network and the satellites, Qi Suian got a clear look at what those "rifts" were—they were all grotesque, sunken eyeballs.

"Well, so much for sniping a mole. The good news is, I can give you laser eye surgery instead. We’ll get that nearsightedness all cleared up," Qi Suian muttered, amusing himself.

It was mainly because in this Doomsday World, he was a "violator," and there was simply no one to talk to.

He did chat with the AI, but those conversations were mostly about getting stronger. So, to relax, he would talk to himself to maintain his own Spirit.

He had to, lest he truly went insane one day. That would be the end of everything.

[Radiation levels are intensifying. Your Blood Moon affliction is beginning to break its threshold.]

’Just getting looked at by one... no, by a lot of eyes is enough to get ? When will my Profound Virus ever be this potent?’ Qi Suian wasn’t particularly surprised; the atmosphere had been insulating him from a good portion of the radiation.

Now that Qi Suian was without that protective layer and facing the Blood Moon directly, it was impossible for him to be completely unaffected.

[It seems to have beco curious about you.]

[Shall we proceed with a saturation strike?]

"Go for it. Curious or not, I couldn’t care less. I ca here to piss it off." As Qi Suian finished speaking, all the Floating Cannons moved into formation.

The fourteen Floating Cannons combined into a single unit and imdiately began to build up and store energy.

They weren’t exactly close to the Blood Moon. The range of a single Floating Cannon was limited, and without a full charge, there was no way to extend it.

After a minute, a Dark Ray burst forth, speeding toward the Blood Moon’s location.

To be honest, "ray" wasn’t a very accurate description at this point. The fired Dark Ray had a diater of a full ter; it was more like a pillar of light.

Qi Suian had no intention of renaming it, though. Dark Ray was just one of the Floating Cannon’s attack modes, not so nad technique.

Besides, just because it’s bigger doesn’t an it can’t be called a ray.

The Dark Energy Beam traveled at extre speeds in space, striking the Blood Moon in just a few minutes. Dark energy itself seed to be a form of cosmic energy, so it moved through the void as if it were its natural elent, losing very little of its power before impact.

The mont it hit, the energy began to spread out and burrow deep from the point of impact.

Before long, Qi Suian saw a small patch at the Blood Moon’s center that had been disintegrated into carbonized particles.

Then, the entire Blood Moon began to writhe, constantly sloughing off the area struck by the dark energy.

Thankfully, the vacuum of Outer Space couldn’t transmit sound; otherwise, Qi Suian was certain he would have heard the Blood Moon’s roar.

"The plan worked. The Blood Moon is really pissed off now." Qi Suian watched as the celestial body’s speed increased dramatically.

Its speed increased by a factor of at least ten.

This ant the Blood Moon, originally set to arrive in three days, would now reach them in just over seven hours.

’At this speed,’ he thought, ’there’s no way the planet won’t shatter.’

"Back to the surface. We’ll circle around to the other side of the planet and head back into space from there."

[I recomnd another shot. The Blood Moon does not appear to be sufficiently angered. After all, you still have seven hours.]

"Excellent idea!"
