"Emily, why are you saying this?"
The reason for Human’s sudden terror was only one.
Sothing was off.
Before he could dig into the reason, he heard a sharp "chi" sound. At the sa ti, a tearing pain exploded in his chest.
He instinctively lowered his head, only to see a dagger driven deep into his chest.
"This is... my chest?"
Human’s final thought surfaced. In disbelief, he lifted his head and saw Emily’s indifferent face. On that face, her eyes were so cold and blood‑red.
"Why..."
Human’s lips moved slightly. Under the powerful dicinal effect of the Bloodthirst Pill, even with his heart shredded, he hadn’t completely died yet.
Emily’s white hand gently stroked Human’s face, her expression utterly cold: "Boss, you know it. That monster is too strong, there’s no way we can all get away. Not even with the Bloodthirst Pill."

The giant elephant stared at the fallen human in front of it, feeling very baffled.
Its loud bellow snapped Emily awake in an instant.

Twenty li away, Qin Hao squatted under a towering tree, gulping in fresh air.
Every mouthful of air was so enticing; with each breath, a bit of his stamina crept back.

From far away ca a continuous rumbling.

But after hiding in a tree and watching for a bit, Qin Hao noticed that while the elephant brat was indeed trampling everyone, it kept occasionally glancing at his side out of the corner of its eye.
Qin Hao instantly realized it and knew the elephant brat was also watching him.
So he didn’t hesitate at all and chose to run.
He ran twenty li before stopping, and that sense of looming death finally faded.
Only then did Qin Hao confirm that he’d really survived.
As for the joy of being alive, Qin Hao didn’t feel much.
What he was more interested in was whether Human was actually dead or not.
