At an amateur level, the history of science transford into social history, almost becoming a national hobby for the British middle class. On a professional level, science beca a career for people to strive for, with modern universities like the University of London taking the lead in reforming the teaching thods of traditional universities, establishing scientific disciplines within the educational system, going to great lengths to secure public funding for scientific research, and striving to win prestigious professional status. In erging industrial cities, science transford into the vanguard of social reform through the promotion of public health movents.

We can clearly notice that, since 1830, science has been growing into a confident ideology with increasingly imperial color, starting to extend its hand into previously unexplored territories—human behavior research. "Science" has gained widespread recognition at a social level, seen as the magical key to unlocking all realms, from social structure to the chanism of the subconscious to unraveling the essence of religious experience itself.

— Robin Gillmore, "Victorian Era: Intellectual and Cultural Backgrounds of British Literature, 1830–1890"

A publicly-listed company, a great enterprise with a goal of century-long operation, Arthur’s grand vision at the eting literally dazzled everyone’s minds.

Seeing everyone fired up with enthusiasm, Arthur seized the mont to introduce his long-planned business proposal.

First and foremost, naturally, is the introduction of Bradbury & Evans Company’s new printing press.

Secondly, is the compilation of the inaugural issue of the new low-priced magazine "Spark" under Imperial Publishing Company.

Although in Arthur’s vision, he doesn’t plan to set any profit targets for this weekly magazine priced at rely six and a half pennies for at least three years, and might even accept a certain amount of loss, the current financial pressures an the losses they can endure are extrely limited.

Therefore, to control the costs, the packaging and content length of "Spark" obviously cannot be like their flagship product "British".

This design is not only to adapt to the purchasing power of the lower class but also to fit Arthur’s new sales approach—wherever there is a railway, there must be "Spark"!

Although a century later, newsstands in front of train stations are nothing out of the ordinary and certainly not a novelty.

But at this ti when the era of passenger railways is just dawning, whether in Britain, France, or Germany, Arthur has yet to see such a sales model.

Various investors’ understanding of passenger railways is limited to making money by selling tickets.

And this ans that Imperial Publishing Company won’t have to pay too high a price to secure exclusive rights to bookstands and will face almost no competition.

Each railway company would be very pleased with an unexpected extra inco and hope that this new publicly-listed company, covering famous magazines like "The Tis" and "British," can inject a bit of fun into the long and boring experience of early railway travel and turn train reading into a pasti for travelers.

And Arthur is very pleased to see the old printing press that should have been idle inside the magazine company continue to shine and heat, thereby creating a "railway book" family for Imperial Publishing Company.

Indeed, he not only wants to sell "Spark" at train stations but also, with the support of "British"’s vast copyright collection, design and publish a series of lightweight low-cost books suitable for train travel.

Of course, his ultimate goal is to create a batch of 19th-century national-level authors in Britain and super works with massive social influence for Imperial Publishing Company by enhancing dissemination.

When the whole carriage is discussing the new series "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" of "Hastings Case Files," when the ladies begin to talk about little Oliver in "Oliver Twist," when the gentlen start to look forward to the next issue of "The Three Musketeers," when the farrs boarding the train begin to yearn that they can have a series of romances like the protagonists in Eld Carter’s novels in urban areas...

Sales of 80,000 copies per issue of "British" is far from the result Arthur expects; he wants the annual passenger traffic of 500,000 on the Manchester-Liverpool Railway, and the mobilization of Britain’s 25 million population in the New World once the entire Great Western Railway line is connected.

To achieve this goal, before mobilizing 25 million people, the entire "British" must be mobilized first.

Everyone was assigned their own new task.

Dickens will make full use of the lingering popularity of "The Pickwick Papers" by releasing a postscript "Pickwick Club’s Testant" serializing for 20 issues in the new magazine "Spark."

Mr. Disraeli, with his eyes all over the votes, is evidently more enthusiastic than Dickens, volunteering by presenting "Alroy’s Wonderful Story," and vowing that this kind of adventure story is best suited for travel entertainnt.

As the most popular author among readers within "British," Great Dumas plans to launch his new work "The Alchemist" on "Spark."

Regarding Tennyson and Heine, it’s clear they are also eager to try, but unfortunately, Arthur apparently doesn’t intend to dispatch them into this low-cost magazine.

After all, their identities are special, regardless of popularity, but at least in the public’s eyes, poets are a higher status than novelists; out of consideration for maintaining literary reputation, their works should never appear in low-cost magazines.
