Pei Jue’s eyes were deep, "Let’s talk when we get back."

Feng Yun said softly, "I don’t want to discuss private matters where the General does his work, but who’s to bla when the General doesn’t co to see ?"

With her eyes lowered, she sounded aggrieved. Fortunately, having been a deserted wife in her past life, she could effortlessly capture such a tone and posture, "Without seeing the General, I had no choice but to co to the camp to find soone."

Pei Jue: "Speak."

If there were matters, then speak; if not, then leave.

The attitude he presented made Feng Yun’s teeth itch a bit.

Feng Yun chuckled lightly, "Would the General care for another ga?"

Pei Jue: "Military affairs are busy, I cannot afford to accompany you."

"..."

Too much like a dog.

No matter what, he wouldn’t play against her again?

Feng Yun slightly lifted her eyelids, scrutinizing him.

"As for the marriage, how does the General plan to proceed? If we keep going like this, the false will beco true."

Pei Jue didn’t answer, watching her with a cold expression.

Feng Yun said, "I believe there’s sothing very improper about this matter. Even if you and I understand that it is a temporary expedience, ant to lure the snake from its hole, others do not think so..."

Pei Jue: "What are you afraid of?"

Feng Yun said, "It’s not fear. I consider it quite unnecessary. For , it’s just an annoyance, an unnecessary complication, and for the General, who will have to take a wife and have children in the future, it could have an impact too, right?"

Setting aside entanglents and seeking what was needed. Not talking about love, marriage, concubinage, offspring, or entering the back house. Enjoy the monts together, and no clinging when apart. When coming, be joyful; when leaving, have no sorrow. That was what she’d said before, and it was the agreent they both had reached.

Pei Jue lowered his gaze and, brushing his sleeve, flicked her hand off his shoulder.

"Does Feng Ji think I will cling to you?"

That wasn’t quite it.

It was just that Feng Yun found the whole matter quite unreasonable.

From the mont she lost that ga of chess, it seed as if she had fallen into Pei Gou’s trap, becoming a re pawn at his disposal.

Fortunately, their interests aligned, and they shared a common enemy.

"Could the General perhaps share his thoughts? What if Xiao Cheng attacks, and what if he doesn’t?"

She felt unsettled.

Emotion flowed out from those beautiful eyes.

"Military secrets cannot be divulged," Pei Jue said with an impassive face, as though he had no interest in discussing it, nor did Feng Yun see any of the emotional fluctuations she hoped for.

Nor did he look like a groom about to be wed.

Their attitudes were clear—

The concubine is heartless, and the gentleman has no intention.

He didn’t look at Feng Yun any further, "If Lady Yun has nothing else, please return."

"Talking like this lacks warmth, doesn’t it?" Feng Yun walked over, pushed the brush and ink on the desk farther away, tidied up the docunts and placed them further away, before sitting on Pei Jue’s lap.

"May I ask, General, have you been avoiding these past few days?"

Pei Jue: "Why would I avoid you?"

"Isn’t that what I’m asking you?" Feng Yun replied with a smile, small hands draped over his shoulders, "Have I done sothing wrong that has made the General weary of ?"

Pei Jue’s eyes were deep,

"Get off my lap now, and I won’t be weary of you."

"Tsk tsk, Mr. Pei can be hot and cold I see?" She said while covering his chest, "Though you and I are but a pair of dogs in human clothing, with no need for deep emotions, it can’t help but make doubt when the General goes out of his way to avoid like this. Perhaps we can no longer continue this farce of a relationship? Or is it that I’ve put on a poor performance, not to the General’s taste..."

Pei Jue watched as the woman’s hand wandered over his body...

His breath gradually beca unsteady.

"Feng Ji, this is the camp," he reminded.

"Hush..."

Feng Yun said, "Keep your voice down. Don’t let others hear."

Then she secretly pinched Pei Jue, "If the General doesn’t co to find , aren’t you just waiting for to co to you? Why must you say one thing but an another..."

Pei Jue grabbed her hand, seemingly uninterested in entertaining her, "You go back first, I’ll find you after I resolve the matters."

"I don’t believe you." Feng Yun slightly pulled open his collar, her fingers snaking inside, softly circling his Adam’s apple as she looked up at him with full, alluring eyes.

"The General uses to bait Xiao Cheng, I ought to gain so advantage..."

Pei Jue tensed all over, his skin burning where her fingers had brushed, heating slightly.

"I’ll co see you later."

Feng Yun glanced at him, her look suggesting he interpret it as he would, smiled lightly, and leaned on his chest, patiently moving about. Her slightly narrowed eyes evoked the image of a cat playing with a fish, her voice fine and gently soft...

"General, I am so uncomfortable..."

Pei Jue knew what kind of person she was. No matter how sweet her words, there probably wasn’t much sincerity in them, but it was hard to suppress the desires she stirred within him,

"What makes you uncomfortable?"

His voice was hoarse, and Feng Yun, hearing a hint of emotion in it, looked down with a smile, "It’s all the General’s fault. To not affect your military morale, to maintain decency... Look at , I’m bound too tight."

Pei Jue, with his hand supporting her waist, lifted her onto the desk. Docunts fell, but no one bothered with them. His indifferent face showed no particular emotion; he simply made her sit facing him, unhurriedly untied the bindings around her, effortlessly stripping her bare. The fresh, tender color flashed before his eyes...

His voice was sowhat husky.

"Does this feel better?"

Feng Yun humd, "You’re so adept, haven’t you undressed many a young lady before?"

Pei Jue: ...

Feng Yun lightly humd, her whole body nearly lting onto his. But he wouldn’t allow it; propping up her waist and shoulders, he still made her sit firmly. Clad in loose clothing from behind, one could only see the young lady’s slender back tense, her shoulders slightly rigid, sitting very straight, not knowing how pale and soft her skin trembled under the General’s fingertips.

"General..."

Pei Jue didn’t speak, carefully toying with her.

Feng Yun lowered her head, feeling her eyes heat up, tears almost forced out, she called out to him and suddenly wrapped her arms around his head.

Pei Jue’s dark eyes dimd, gently sipping and teasing in the midst of the Jade Mountain, the pleasure ssily spreading...

A quarter of an hour...

The limitation of ti added a sense of urgency, the intense stimulation making Feng Yun’s toes curl sensitivity, stepping on his leg, then slowly toward the center, pressing down a bit harder on him, making the excited Young General raise his head high among the Jin Ge and Tie Ma, howling as he wanted to charge into battle to slay the enemy, yet imprisoned by armor as tight as iron, unable to release, struggling under Feng Yun’s feet like a trapped beast.

Feng Yun was familiar with his reactions.

Her toes danced lightly, and he let out a controlled low groan from his throat, his wolf-like eyes darkly fixated on her, but she didn’t want to satisfy him. She wanted him to suffer...

Thus, his expression turned colder, his temper fouler.

"Lady Yun is really bold." He created a shallow red mark on her body as punishnt, his heart still burning with desire.

This woman was born to be his nesis.

Doing such ridiculous things in the camp, before today, anyone who spoke out would get spanked.

But Pei Jue did it.

Feng Yun made him feel so numb and tingly she exerted more force with her feet.

"General, don’t glower at , I’m so scared..."

She said with a smile, but her face showed not a trace of fear.

Pei Jue’s breathing was disordered, his back numbing under her trampling, the fiery anger in his heart prompting his blood flow, a surge of rage and desire, inadvertently letting out a low groan from his throat.

"Is it fun?" she asked softly, her sultry gaze teasing, her body languidly boneless, slowly testing his limits, and just as slowly shredding them apart.

Pei Jue, as usual, didn’t talk, his eyes surprisingly bright and alert.

Feng Yun leaned on his arm for support, preventing her from sliding down, gasping with closed eyes in his grasp like a fish, her breaths rising and falling in waves, like the rolling of the sea, Pei Jue watched, his body aching, grasping her slender waist and pulling her into a full embrace.

"You really know how to court death, my dear waist."

"Mmm... then, General, do kill ," Feng Yun said dazedly, looking at him, her eyes blurred, her moist little mouth opening and sucking, very much fueling his carnal desires.

Pei Jue’s eyes were tinged red, indeed wanting to kill her.

Feng Yun teased him, initially to vent her anger, to make him experience the frustration of being left hanging, but her body betrayingly sensitive, unable to endure his touches. In the end, the two were tightly entwined, both slick with a fine sheen of sweat, unbearably torrid.

Outside the tightly closed door, Zuo Zhong coughed lightly.

"General, Shi Yin has arrived."

Shi Yin always arrived early for consultations, Pei Jue had praised him for it; this ti he arrived even earlier...

Pei Jue straightened Feng Yun’s clothing, his voice hoarse, "Go back first."

"My legs are weak..." Feng Yun’s head rested limply on his shoulder, feeling drained of strength, shalessly mingling with Pei Jue, surprisingly better than she had imagined.

Especially like now, irrespective of his mood, whether good or bad, only caring about her own emotions, treating him like a tool, feeling utterly relaxed in body and soul.

"Next ti, I want it to be here." She locked her gaze on Pei Jue, her eyes narrowing to thin slits, the corners slightly curved up, a bit red, like the helpless grievance of soone bullied.

Was it here to listen to his deliberations?

Or here to mingle with him?

Feng Yun didn’t clarify, and Pei Jue didn’t ask.

He patiently fixed her clothes, but those ties could no longer be wrapped back, he stuffed them casually into the bottom of a drawer.

"I will be late, you should sleep early. No need to wait for ."

Feng Yun’s eyes were full of smiles, leaning over to peck him on the lips, "I will wait for the General."

-

Shi Yin was stopped outside the door by Zuo Zhong.

"General, please wait a mont."

Normally the doors were wide open, with the General allowing free entry and exit. Today, several guards stood outside the door, quite prepared for battle.

Realizing sothing was out of the ordinary, Shi Yin frowned.

"What’s going on? Is there a move from the Qi Army?"

Zuo Zhong’s eyelid twitched with no expression.

Jiu You glanced at him, chuckled dryly, and touched his nose, "The lady ca."

Just four soft words, nothing more. Shi Yin silently uttered an "oh," revealing a knowing expression, nodding, and stood with arms crossed to one side.

"Looks like it’s going to rain, right?"

He looked at the sky.

Zuo Zhong followed his gaze.

Soon after, the second General arrived, then the third and fourth together, seeing Shi Yin looking up, Zuo Zhong and Jiu You doing the sa, they too looked up at the heavy dark clouds on the horizon, puzzled.

"What are you all looking at?"

It was then that the door was pulled open.

Feng Yun bowed her head and stepped aside.

"Generals, please enter."

Not a minute more, not a minute less, just as Pei Jue had said—a quarter of an hour.

Shi Yin glanced at her; the young lady was dignified and poised, the General inside sitting upright, his expression as cold as frost, with nothing amiss.

"Thank you!" The others bowed in respect.

Feng Yun returned the gesture properly, standing in the shadow by the door until all the Generals had entered the hall, then she slowly bowed and left, her face erging into the daylight, revealing her true appearance, like flower petals soaked in water, tender and endearing.

The several guards quickly lowered their heads, afraid to look any longer.
