Amon remained silent for a while. Then he extended his right hand toward her.

Celestia held his hand in her fair, smooth hand. Her touch was warm and soft. It felt devine.

’How can she have such soft hands? She clearly uses a sword, yet there’s no calluses at all.’ Amon thought with amusent.

But then he saw her breathtaking face.

Amon blushed, his cheeks turning pink.

He turned his face to the other side.

Celestia, who had just held his hand, noticed his strange behavior.

She looked confused.

"What happened, boy?" she asked.

Amon glanced at her. "Well... is this the reason... why you asked to lock the door... isn’t this too fast. Your Majesty, we t just yesterday —"

Before he could finish, her grip on his hand tightened.

"Ouch!" he yelled.

Celestia kept looking at Amon with a smile. But her eyes, terrifying.

Amon gulped visibly.

’Shit! Am I cooked?’ He felt fear again.

"Oh my~ it seems you misunderstood this a little... can you describe it to in more detail? What you actually thought I was going to do?" she asked with sa dangerous smile.

A chill ran down Amon’s spine. Her voice was sweet and raspy, yet sounded ice-cold.

He rubbed the back of his neck and smiled awkwardly.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about—ouch! I an I was just trying to joke around, Your Majesty. Sorry! Sorry!"

Finally she loosened her grip and gave him a small cute and prideful hmph.

’This woman!’ Amon wanted to curse her. But she was too beautiful to do that.

She turned her focus back to what she was doing.

She closed her eyes, as if she was studying or analyzing sothing.

Amon remained silent, not wanting to say another nonsense word.

After a minute she opened her eyes.

She released his hand. Her gaze fell on the boy.

She clasped her hands on the desk, resting her chin on them, and said,

"You just agreed to not lie to . You will answer truthfully."

"Yes, Your Majesty." Amon pulled his hand back and answered.

"Hmm... tell what class you possess. What’s the na of it?" she asked. Her eyes held curiosity as she studied Amon’s face.

His face frowned at the question.

Did she try to gauge my powers?

Should he answer? It wasn’t a big issue to share one’s class, what one shouldn’t share were the abilities related to it.

"Well... what if I don’t tell?" Amon decided to try, to see how badly she wanted to know.

"You think you have a choice..." her cold eyes gave him chills.

Okay no more foolishness. He didn’t let her finish.

"It’s nad Death Bearer." He answered imdiately.

It wasn’t like he had another choice.

Her eyes squinted, then her index finger tapped on the table.

Tap. Tap.

She was thinking deeply.

Her finger stopped tapping. Celestia slowly lifted her gaze, her expression calm again.

"A death-related class..." she murmured. "Rare... maybe that explains it."

She didn’t finish her thought. She leaned back and briefly closed her eyes.

Then she waved her hand lightly.

"You may go now. Enjoy your day."

Amon blinked.

"Huh? That’s it?"

"Also. Don’t tell anyone about that city. Got it" She waned him to keep secret about the city.

He didn’t understand what just happened. One mont she seed like she wanted to interrogate him, and now she was letting him go casually?with a small understandable warning.

But he wasn’t stupid. Better to leave while she was in a good mood.

"Yes, Your Majesty," he replied quickly and stood up.

He took one step toward the door—

Knock. Knock.

A deep male voice sounded from outside.

"Your Majesty. May I co in?"

Celestia didn’t answer him. Instead, she glanced at Amon.

"Amon. Open the door."

Amon nodded. "Yes."

He hurried, unlocked it, and opened the door. A tall man in his late twenties stood there. Dark-brown hair tied neatly, sharp hazel eyes, straight noble posture. A sword hung at his waist. He radiated pride and strength.

The mont he saw Celestia, he bowed deeply.

"My apologies for interrupting, Your Majesty. But this report required imdiate delivery."

Celestia gave a slight nod. "Proceed."

The man stepped forward and placed a thick stack of docunts on her desk. His face serious, aura disciplined. He wore armor with the royal crest, two crossed swords and a golden crown with jewels above them.

Amon stared. He looked like soone important. Maybe a royal knight or high-ranking officer.

But Amon didn’t stay.

Celestia glanced at him again. "You may go."

That was enough.

"Good day, Your Majesty," he said quickly and slipped past the man.

The man didn’t even look at Amon. Too focused on Celestia.

As the door clicked shut behind him, Amon exhaled deeply.

Finally... I can breathe again.

He rubbed his hand where she squeezed him earlier.

Why is she so scary... and so beautiful at the sa ti? That combination should be illegal.

With a sigh and tired shoulders, Amon walked away. He didn’t understand what happened in just now and didn’t want to think too hard about it.

’Whatever. I’m free now. I should go before she changes her mind.’ Amon thought with worried smile.

And with that, he left. Unaware what Celestia and the royal knight were still talking about him.

Inside the Queen’s office

Celestia held the report the royal knight brought.

Her eyes cold and detached as she read.

She placed it on the table.

She looked at the knight.

"Tristan... it seems our guess was true," she said, voice cold and serious.

Tristan responded respectfully.

"Yes, Your Majesty. They have been dispatched to The Grave of the Celestial Tree for months. We don’t have much information yet. But it seems they are making many moves to explore the island and take over it. Even if it’s impossible."

Celestia nodded. She thought about her next move. She could not let demons succeed in conquering that place. It held too many resources. Not just treasure, but knowledge of the past.

"Tristan, summon Galahad Valliant. As soon as possible."

"As you wish, Your Majesty." Tristan bowed.

He left the office, leaving Celestia alone in her thoughts.
