The abomination, it didn’t stop. The monster screeched again, furious. It flapped its wings hard, lifting itself higher before diving straight down.
Amon felt death closing in. Without thinking, he poured everything he had into his legs. His shadow stretched unnaturally long, pushing him forward with explosive force.
BOOM!!
He shot forward, barely escaping as the monster’s claws slamd into the ground where he had been a mont earlier.
The earth cracked. A deep crater ford. It was huge. If Amon had got hit by it. He had died on the spot.
Amon stumbled but didn’t fall. His body scread in pain. His mana was draining fast.
’I can’t stop... I can’t slow down...Run! Run! Run!!’
He ran. Through roots. Through thorns. Through uneven ground.
Blood trickled from a small wound ford by the monster’s attack which had sent many shattered rocks and debris. But he ignored the pain.
Behind him, the monster kept coming. Its hunger had turned into rage. It still couldn’t see the human well. It could barely see sothing shadow-like thing running. It depends on his sll as much as possible.
Its eyes burned brighter. Its scream echoed endlessly through the dark forest. Amon’s vision blurred slightly from exhaustion.
’If this keeps going... I’ll die.’ Still, he ran. He had no other choice but to run away.
Amon had already crossed a long distance. Maybe kiloters. He was getting tired slowly.
He had survived sohow. But the monster behind had no wind to leave him alone.
So he continued to run with everything he had left.
’What?!’ Amon looked forward. Little distance away from him.
A group of gorilla-like monsters were sleeping on tree branches and so on the ground leaning against the tree.
Suddenly they heard a shrill scream.
SCREEEECHH!!
They all awoke to the sound and started to roar in anger.
But then seeing the abomination coming in their direction. They felt primal fear.
They didn’t waste any ti and started to run away in the sa direction where Amon was running.
’Maybe...maybe the monster can get distracted by those gorilla-like beasts. And I can take that chance to run away.’
Amon forced himself to get between the group of monsters.
They looked at him with shock. Sothing shadowy being was running with them. They got confused. They don’t rember having a monster like this in their group.
’Be sacrifice for you fools. Let get away.’
Of course Amon’s wish won’t be completed so easily.
The monster before was trying to catch only one being. But here there are no multiples.
So it opened its beak wide. Sothing dark blue glowed inside its mouth. Mana surged inside its beak.
The space around the monster trembled violently. Huge shocked waves thrown outward from its body.
Amon senses danger from behind. He could feel the violent wind coming from behind.
Amon turned his head back.
His eyes widened in alarm.
"No! shiit"
A huge dark blue color beam shot from the mouth of the huge flying abomination.
It tore through the ground, trees, and rocks. Everything that ca into its way. It swallowed the running Gorilla beasts.
Growl!
Growl!
Growl!
They growl one last ti before getting swallowed in that light.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
The impact of the beam made an explosion throughout its path.
Amon slamd into the ground, rolling uncontrollably as his body was thrown by the aftermath of the beam.
BOOM!!
The shockwave caught him mid-air and smashed him through several trees. Bark exploded. Trunks cracked. His body finally skidded across the forest floor, carving a shallow trench before coming to a stop.
Amon coughed violently.
"Kgh!!"
Blood splattered onto the soil. His vision swam. His left side scread in agony, sothing was definitely broken. His ribs felt like shattered glass every ti he breathed.
The forest... was gone.
Where towering trees once stood, there was now a massive scorched path stretching far into the distance. The ground lted and cracked. Smoke rose everywhere. The gorilla monsters. Nothing remained. Not even bones.
There was now silence. Everything turned into silence.
And above it all, the monster hovered.
Its massive wings beat slowly, stirring violent winds. Its glowing crimson eyes scanned the destruction below, searching for anything that remained alive here.
The other small beasts were killed in the attack. But what about the shadow figure it was chasing.
Amon’s heart dropped. ’It’s still not satisfied...? Why is it still searching for .’
His body scread at him to move, but his legs refused to respond. His mana pool was nearly dry. Darkness flickered weakly around him, no longer obedient, no longer dense.
His head throbbed. Veins bulge from too much use of his ability.
For the first ti in the past weeks. Amon felt true despair. His left cheek had burned. His ribs are broken. New wounds were ford on his body here and there by the attack.
’Damn I need to move...co on!’
The monster descended slightly, its
Form lood over the ruined land. Its nostrils flared again.
Sniff
Sniff
Its gaze locked onto Amon’s broken form. He was no longer hidden in a tree. No longer hidden by darkness.
A low, pleased rumble escaped its throat. It had found him. Finally it found the creature that had entered its territory.
Amon clenched his teeth, forcing his trembling arms beneath him. Pain exploded through his body.
"No..." he muttered hoarsely. "I won’t... die like this."
He had to get away from her. Just then it lunged at Amon.
"Shitt!" Amon used his hands and one leg.
BOOM!
Its huge beak shattered the ground where Amon was just a few seconds ago.
The ground trembled violently. The impact of the ground sent Amon thrown away by rolling down.
"Cough!" Amon coughed blood again.
’It hurts. Dammit!’
The monster stared at Amon with pure hatred. A desire to kill. If I have ti, guess what he is feeling currently. Then it must be killing the intent of the monster.
Just when it was going to move toward Amon. Sothing roared loudly through the forest.
ROAAAAARRRRRRR!!!
It shakes the whole area around them. Amon’s eyes shot in the direction where this roar ca from. They’re hundreds of ters away from them. A huge broken building was situated.
From the huge entrance of it sothing erges.
