At that sa mont, Amon had already moved behind it.

Darkness and shadow completely wrapped around his sword while black smoky trails escaped continuously from the blade.

His eyes sharpened coldly.

Then.

SHIIIIING!!

A horizontal slash flashed through the night.

SLASH!!

The monster’s enormous head separated cleanly from its body. The slash was clean and perfect.

After that, for a mont everything beca silent.

Then the severed head crashed heavily onto the forest ground with a loud thud.

BOOOOM.

Dark blood spread slowly beneath the corpse. The gigantic body twitched once.

Then stopped moving completely.

The monster, whose height was as big as an elephant,

It was dead.

Amon stood silently behind the corpse while darkness slowly faded around his body.

The cold night wind moved softly through his black hair.

His chest rose and fell steadily from exertion while smoke-like darkness continued leaving his body little by little.

For several seconds, he simply stared quietly at the dead creature.

Then a grin slowly appeared on his face.

"...So this is my strength now."

The Whispering Woods beca silent once more beneath the moonlit sky.

He was satisfied with the result. He was truly much stronger than he had been a year ago.

He walked over and sat on the dead body of the monster while feeling the cold night breeze.

With a thoughtful expression, he muttered, "Blood... it’s more useful and dangerous than I had initially thought. I am still confused about how it actually works... but well, considering how only two vampire families in this world possess this elent... it’s hard to learn much."

’I can only learn more about this after eting Scarlett. Until then, I have to work harder. Also hide this blood elent.’ He thought.

By no ans did Amon like hiding his strength. But no human possessed this blood elent.

And even among vampires, only the royal family and the ducal family of Scarlett had this elent.

He quietly watched the moon.

With a relaxed expression, he muttered, "I should get back to the Academy. It was nice hunting."

He continued enjoying the night sky while surrounded by blood and the dead body.

For so reason, the sll of blood didn’t feel odd or disgusting to him.

It felt familiar.

---

While Amon was fighting the monster,

Without him knowing,

Soone was watching him from so distance away.

A figure stood on a tree branch, wearing a black cloak. Their face was not visible. They had been observing Amon since the fight had started.

The mysterious figure watched how Amon, who had been sitting and staring at the sky for a while, finally got up.

Then he retrieved his hatchet and sword before putting them back into his storage ring.

After that, he turned around and ran through the forest, heading back toward Elarith City.

The suspicious figure who had been watching him also turned around and silently left the place.

No one knew who that person was.

---

It’s been two days since Amon went to the forest and killed the monster.

Currently, it was morning.

And Amon was returning to his dormitory building after finishing his training.

Only to see soone familiar after a long ti.

With a bright grin, Amon shouted loudly,

"Oi Marcus!! My best friend."

The tall violet-haired young man who was walking on the sa path leading toward the dormitory suddenly stopped.

His body tensed before he turned around with an irritated expression.

"Who the heck is calling best friend? I am not anyone’s best frie–"

Before he could continue his words, his eyes fell on the young man standing there.

Marcus’s eyes widened in pure shock.

He opened his mouth, then closed it, then opened it again.

With a stunned expression, he muttered,

"A-Amon?"

He couldn’t believe his eyes.

Amon, who saw his shocked expression, chuckled before walking toward the young master.

With a dramatic pose and proud smirk, he declared,

"Of course. I am yours truly, the most handso and charming man in the world. The one whose smile makes ladies go crazy. I am the great Amon Vale!!"

Marcus still looked completely stunned.

With disbelief in his voice, he said,

"Bu-but... I thought you were dead."

Amon waved one hand arrogantly.

"There’s no being born in this world who could kill Amon Vale before he builds his harem."

Marcus’s expression instantly changed after hearing that.

"Yo-you are aliv– wait! What? What did you just say?"

Marcus, who had been shocked and emotional monts ago, suddenly looked at him like he had heard sothing unbelievably absurd.

Who could possibly talk in such a shaless way?

Well, there was only one man capable of that.

Amon stopped in front of him with a smirk.

With a teasing expression, he said,

"I know you are very shocked and happy to see back that you might want to hug . But I am already informing you that I don’t take hugs from n."

Marcus imdiately frowned.

"Wait!! Why would I hug you just because you are back?!"

Though honestly, it would be a lie to say Marcus wasn’t happy and slightly emotional after seeing Amon alive.

But Amon had effortlessly destroyed all that emotional buildup with his weird and embarrassing lines.

Marcus rubbed his temples tiredly.

anwhile, Amon observed him carefully.

With a playful grin, he asked,

"Hey, co on... aren’t you happy to see your best friend?"

He casually placed one arm over Marcus’s shoulder.

Marcus glanced at him sideways before speaking with a twitching mouth.

"My best friend? You... a commoner... is my friend?"

Then he scoffed lightly.

"Dream on. You are not my friend, let alone my best friend."

Despite those words, a small smile had already ford on Marcus’s face.

He was genuinely relieved to see Amon back alive and still acting the sa as before.

Amon laughed carelessly.

"Haha yeah yeah, whatever you think."

Marcus looked at him quietly for a mont. Then, with a softer expression, he finally admitted,

"...Still, it’s good to see you back."

Amon’s smile softened slightly as well. Then he wrapped his arm more firmly around Marcus’s shoulder.

"Hey brother, let’s go. I will show you our dormitory building."

Marcus imdiately frowned again.

"Hey, who told you that you can touch ?"

Amon completely ignored his complaint as both of them walked together toward the dormitory building.
