Isabella was still feeling like she had been hit by three boulders, shaken around by a tornado, kissed by sadness, and then tucked into bed by regret.

Her dream still lingered faintly. The crying babies. Cyrus. The ache in her chest. She tried brushing it off, but the feeling clung to her skin like morning dew.

She sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes while Glimora ran in tiny circles, proudly tossing a pebble into the air like she was showing off Olympic skills.

Isabella didn’t even have the strength to scold her.

Before she had ti to emotionally prepare herself for life, the tent flap opened.

Osiris walked in.

The giant idiot filled the entrance like he owned the place, holding a basket of colorful fruit in both hands. He looked weirdly dostic. Too dostic. Isabella hated that. It confused her.

Usually, the sight of him disgusted her slightly. Or irritated her heavily. Or made her wonder if she should shove him into a river.

But today...

She took a breath.

Smiled.

A real smile.

Osiris froze. Completely froze. His eyebrows pushed together suspiciously.

He held up the fruit basket like it was evidence of a cri. "I brought sothing for you."

She smiled again.

His frown deepened.

Normally, she would have thrown sand at him for breathing too close, but today was different.

Today... she was leaving this cursed mountain.

Today... she was going ho.

Today... she was almost free.

And oh, Osiris, sweet clueless Osiris, had no idea he would not be coming with her.

She took a piece of fruit, examined it, nodded politely, then said, "Thank you. Now leave. I need to change."

Osiris blinked. "Why should I leave. I can watch, cannot I."

There was a mont of perfect silence.

Then Isabella’s hand moved.

Fast.

Violent.

She grabbed the nearest object, which happened to be a heavy decorative stone she collected two days ago because it sparkled, and hurled it at his forehead without hesitation.

Osiris yelped, ducking so hard his hair whipped like a startled horse’s tail. The stone sailed past his head, shot straight out of the tent entrance, and disappeared into the morning air with the velocity of a cursed teor.

He stared at her with pure horror.

"I am not joking," Isabella said calmly, adjusting her blanket. "Next ti, if I say I will throw sothing, I will actually throw it. Leave."

Osiris swallowed hard. His entire posture stiffened like a man who had just seen his death pass by in the form of a flying rock. "Fine. Fine, I am leaving. No need to attack ."

He stepped outside, muttering under his breath like a wounded child.

"You are ungrateful. I was the one who comforted you last night."

Isabella heard it.

Her eyebrows shot up. "Comforted where."

But he was already outside.

She frowned for half a second, confused, but her brain decided she had bigger problems in life. She zipped up the tent and began changing into warr, travel-friendly clothing. Glimora waddled over with a little chirp, helping her pick socks even though Isabella had no idea why her pet enjoyed playing fashion advisor.

Once dressed, she packed everything neatly, folded her blankets, and absorbed the entire tent into her space inventory. The fresh morning breeze brushed against her skin as she stepped out with Glimora perched proudly on her shoulder like a tiny queen.

Osiris stood nearby, sulking so visibly the air around him felt dark.

She ignored his dramatic aura entirely.

"Today," Isabella announced, "is the last day we return to this lagoon."

Osiris blinked. "Really. Wow. So where are we heading to next."

"I," she said with emphasis, pointing to herself with pride, "am heading back ho after I complete my tasks."

She pointed at him.

"You are heading back to your family. I do not care if you know where they are. I do not care if you lost your mory. I do not care about anything involving you. You and I will never see each other again."

Osiris’ face darkened so fast it was like watching a storm form in real ti.

His jaw tightened.

His brows lowered.

His energy dropped into sothing cold and sharp.

But he said nothing.

Not a word.

Which, for Osiris, was terrifying.

Isabella flipped her hair, pretending she didn’t notice. "Good. Moving on."

She walked to the lagoon’s edge where the silver water shimred beautifully. The Lunareens began rising from the depths. They were long serpent-like spirits with pearlescent scales and soft glowing eyes. Sisters. Beautiful. Eerie. Magical.

The mont they spotted Isabella, they perked up.

"It is the mountain girl."

"It is the tiny loud one."

"It is the one who eats a lot."

Isabella smiled politely and bowed. "Thank you for letting stay here safely. I truly appreciate it."

The Lunareens tilted their heads like synchronized dancers.

"You are welco here whenever you wish," the eldest said with surprising warmth.

The second sister nodded. "Except for him. Do not bring him. He is too problematic."

Osiris’ expression twitched like he had been stabbed in his pride.

The youngest sister floated closer with sparkly excitent. "Will you bring your babies to visit us. We love babies."

Isabella blinked. "I... do not know the future. But if possible, I will bring them."

The youngest squealed like a starstruck child. "Yes. Bring them. Bring the little ones. Bring all of them."

Osiris, hearing the word babies, stiffened like soone had poured cold water over him.

Isabella cleared her throat awkwardly. "Well, thank you again. But I must leave."

The Lunareens waved goodbye with glowing smiles.

Isabella turned and walked forward confidently.

Osiris followed, sulking so hard the plants wilted in his emotional aura.

Which only made Isabella walk faster.

Which only made Osiris sulk harder.

Which only made Glimora laugh at him.

It was a beautiful morning.

A dramatic one.

A petty one.

A perfect one.

They were leaving the lagoon for the very last ti.

And Osiris had absolutely no idea what Isabella planned to do next.
