Leorio let out a sigh.

"Leorio, Kurapika—long ti no see." After taking his seat, Ron ordered a cup of coffee.

"Cousin Ron, is your friend alright?"

"She's fine," Ron said, shaking his head. "What about you? You weren't caught up in the attack that day, were you?"

"No," Killua replied. "We were far from the scene, but so of Kurapika's companions were targeted. A few of them were killed by mbers of the Phantom Troupe."

He paused. "Cousin Ron, are those Phantom Troupe mbers really that strong?"

"They're decent." For Killua and the others, the Troupe's mbers were indeed formidable—but from Ron's perspective, it was different. In one-on-one combat, he didn't fear any of them. Even against multiple mbers, he didn't need to be cautious.

"If you evaluate by Nen user ranking, most of the Phantom Troupe mbers fall within B-rank to A-rank. But ranking doesn't say everything." He continued, "You've all seen the fighting tournants at Heaven's Arena, right? In terms of that comparison, most of the Troupe would rank mid-to-upper level among the Floor Masters."

That made it clearer. Killua imdiately started making ntal comparisons. "What about Hisoka?" he asked. "Kurapika just said the Phantom Troupe is like thirteen Hisokas."

Ron glanced at Kurapika. "That's not inaccurate. Hisoka is a mber of the Phantom Troupe too. But you can't fully generalize it that way. Hisoka's strength places him among the upper tier of the Troupe. Most mbers are nowhere near his level. People like Shalnark, Kortopi, Pakunoda—if they faced Hisoka, they'd be instantly defeated."

"Kurapika," Gon asked, "is Hisoka also one of the people you're trying to get revenge on?"

Kurapika hesitated, then said, "No. Hisoka joined the Troupe later. He wasn't involved in the massacre of the Kurta Clan."

"Let's not talk about that," Kurapika added. "Gon, do you still really need money? I have so I can lend you."

Leorio reflexively asked, "How much?"

"Tens of millions of Jenny."

"That's not enough," Killua said. "The item Gon wants has a starting bid in the tens of billions. The final price will be much higher than that."

"So what are you going to do now?" Killua looked over at Milluki. "Right now, Gon and I are just waiting for my second brother to place the winning bid. Once he ets the required conditions, we'll be allowed to use the item. He's prepared 20 billion Jenny and borrowed another 10 billion from Cousin Ron. With a total of 30 billion, there's a decent chance he'll win."

"The only reason Gon and I were even interested in the Phantom Troupe bounty was because we wanted to secure that item ourselves. Otherwise, borrowing from him would be… complicated."

Killua suddenly turned back to Ron. "Cousin Ron, how long would it take for Gon and to reach the level where we could fight mbers of the Phantom Troupe?"

"I don't know," Ron said, shaking his head. "I'm not your instructor. I don't know your exact progress or what your training path will look like."

"Can't you teach us now?" Killua glanced at Gon. "Wing said he doesn't have anything else to teach us. But we haven't even learned Hatsu yet." Kurapika's progress had made Killua feel a deep sense of urgency. Soone who had once been weaker than him had now clearly surpassed him. Killua had once made fun of Leorio for only knowing Ten, but now, seeing Kurapika's growth, he realized it was himself who deserved criticism.

"Hatsu isn't sothing others can teach," Ron said. "The four basic techniques—Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu—can be taught by instructors. But the ability itself? That has to co from within. Hatsu is a manifestation of your deepest desires and intentions. No one else can tell you what that is."

"When you figure that out, your ability will erge naturally. My ability, Milluki's, Kurapika's—none of them were taught to us. We created them ourselves. That's why they're so well-suited to us. But before that, you need to determine your Nen type. Once you know that, you can develop an ability that aligns with it. If your ability doesn't match your category, it could backfire."

"Right, Kurapika?"

Kurapika nodded. Izunavi hadn't told him what ability to develop—he asked what ca to Kurapika's mind when he thought of gaining power. Kurapika had answered: chains. That's why he developed the ability he now possessed.

Killua lowered his head in thought. "The ability I want…" He looked at his hands. "What I want… what suits best… what lets maximize my potential… what I'm best at… what gives the greatest advantage…"

A flash of lightning crossed his mind. Electricity. That was the first thing Killua thought of. As a mber of the Zoldyck family, Killua had undergone extensive conditioning as a child—electric shocks, poisons, and other brutal environnts. He had survived, adapted, and endured. And the first thing that ca to his mind was electricity.

"Transmutation…" he muttered. "So that ans I can transform my aura into electricity?"

A spark of excitent appeared in his eyes.

Gon, on the other hand, was still lost in thought.

Ron recalled how, in the Yorknew City arc, Gon had called Wing to ask what kind of ability he should develop. Wing had told him that Enhancers didn't need to craft unique abilities—they just had to focus their aura into their fists. That advice wasn't wrong. Uvogin had done just that. But it wasn't entirely right either.

Uvogin's path wasn't bad, but it might not be the best fit for Gon. Otherwise, Gon wouldn't have later developed Rock, Paper, Scissors in the Greed Island arc.
