Ron said,
"But it's best not to use it too often. Only rely on it in critical monts. Once others know about this ability, the chances of success will drop significantly."
"So, I suggest you develop another ability."
"Use the second ability when it's not urgent."
"Save the first ability for when it's truly necessary."
Nina nodded in agreent.
"Mm-hmm, okay, big brother, I understand."
Ron continued, "Until you've developed the second ability, you can coordinate with the White Bear to disguise it as your own power, confusing others."
"Okay."
After that incident, White Bear also unlocked its Nen abilities and beca a Nen user. Having spent so much ti with Nina, the White Bear, as her faithful companion, had a natural bond with her. From an outsider's perspective, their coordination would likely lead others to mistakenly believe that Nina's ability was controlling White Bear.
"By the way, big brother, there's sothing I need to tell you."
"What is it?"
"It seems that Kyler has returned."
"Kyler?"
Ron paused for a mont, then reacted. Kyler—Ron would never forget him.
Nina's father. The one responsible for turning Nina and the White Bear into "Synth Beasts." A person Ron deeply disliked. Ever since then, Nina didn't call him "father" but addressed him by his na. This made Ron's reaction slightly delayed, but it made sense that Nina would address him this way. After all, Nina had once declared that Lina was dead.
Lene was Kyler's daughter. Nina was not.
"I rember now; wasn't he disqualified from Sky Arena?"
"Yes," Nina replied. "He didn't co as a participant, but as a spectator. After my match, he appeared in front of as I stepped off the stage. He wanted to go with him again, but I refused."
Ron narrowed his eyes.
"Is he still here?"
"He should still be in the city. I saw him yesterday. He tried to take with him, but he didn't succeed. I don't think he'll give up easily, and I can feel that he has bad intentions."
This ti, Nina felt genuine disappointnt in Kyler. Before, she hadn't hated him; she'd rely severed their relationship, making them strangers. But with Kyler's recent actions, Nina felt disgusted.
"I'll keep an eye on him from the shadows," Ron thought, analyzing the situation.
There were only two possibilities regarding Kyler's return: One possibility was that Kyler had a change of heart, felt guilty, and wanted to make ands with Nina. The other was that he still intended to use her.
If Kyler truly wanted to reconcile, he wouldn't need to make Nina leave with him; he could apologize directly. This ruled out the first possibility, leaving only the second—Kyler still intended to use Nina.
"In that case, how should we deal with Kyler? Drive him away? Or just eliminate him entirely?"
"But how would Kyler use Nina?" Ron wondered, contemplating different scenarios.
One possibility was that Kyler planned to use their familial connection to manipulate Nina, forcing her to work for him. But if it were about money, he would have asked outright, and Kyler hadn't. This ant it wasn't a financial motive.
"Could it be related to his ability?"
Kyler's Nen ability was twisted. It fused humans and animals into a hybrid "Synth Beasts," making them half-human, half-beast. While not as strong as Ron, they were far superior to the new fighters in the Sky Arena. Kyler's first Synth Beast was created using his wife as the base, and the second, using his daughter.
However, the second Synth Beast's Nen had been separated successfully due to the Nen exorcist's help, so Nina and the White Bear had separated.
Therefore, Kyler's ability had been nullified. He would need another person and another animal to restore his power.
"Could Kyler's ability have certain restrictions or vows?" Ron mused. "Maybe the human base must be soone extrely close to him?"
That thought lingered in Ron's mind.
As night fell, everyone settled down to rest. Ron's luxurious suite had two rooms—one for him and one shared by Shizuku and Nina. White Bear slept in a corner on a spacious, comfortable dog bed Nina had bought. The White Bear seed quite pleased with it.
Ron's thoughts stirred.
"Chii!"
In the next mont, Chii appeared.
"Go and gather all available information on Kyler."
Chii moved toward the network cable. No computer was needed; Chii *was* the computer. Connected to the network, Chii could access any account, bypass any software issue, and even overco most security obstacles. Only a hardware block would be an issue.
Chii extended a finger, inserting it into the network port. The next mont, Ron sensed Chii entering search mode. It felt like a supercomputer's CPUs running at high speed, with mory usage soaring.
Before long, Chii finished, transmitting all the compiled data into Ron's mind. As a humanoid computer, Chii would not have had this ability, but as Ron's Nen Beast, it was now possible.
Chii's compilation was thorough, pulling together everything on Kyler from the internet, even arranging it in chronological order.
Ron read through it, absorbing the tiline of Kyler's life.
"He was a Doctor in his youth. His wife was lovely, and they had a happy family."
"Then their clinic was destroyed in a violent attack by competitors, forcing them to leave the area. This event ignited Kyler's deep-seated violent instincts."
"After moving to Sky Arena, Kyler beca a fighter. With his dical knowledge of the human body and dedicated training, his strength improved quickly. A few years later, he reached the 200th floor."
