Chapter 1337: Chapter 1328: Refining Failure
Within the Black Wind Mountain Range.
The scent of blood lingered in the air.
Not far behind Ye Chenfeng and Qin Shuangshuang stood Liu Weitian, Hu Weiyuan, and their group. They initially believed they were about to watch Ye Chenfeng and Qin Shuangshuang be cleaved in two by the Blood-eyed Mantises, before being devoured bite by bite as food for those monstrous creatures.
Yet no one anticipated that the blood from Ye Chenfeng’s wounds would suddenly erupt with a golden radiance. One by one, the Blood-eyed Mantises inexplicably knelt before him, leaving Liu Weitian and the others completely dumbfounded.

“We’re saved now! As long as this kid’s around, we might live through this!” Hu Weiyuan exclaid with exhilaration.
anwhile, held in Qin Shuangshuang’s arms, the severely weakened Ye Chenfeng spoke softly, “Qin Shuangshuang, why are you still dawdling? Are you waiting for them to coerce us into bringing them along?”
Hearing this, Qin Shuangshuang temporarily suppressed the shock in her heart. Holding Ye Chenfeng tightly, she began advancing cautiously and swiftly with him. Each step was taken with utmost care, as she feared the Blood-eyed Mantises might suddenly leap at them. Yet her worrying proved unnecessary—under the suppressive force of Ye Chenfeng’s divine blood, the Blood-eyed Mantises remained kneeling submissively on the ground.
Soon enough, Qin Shuangshuang successfully carried Ye Chenfeng out of the Blood-eyed Mantises’ attack range. Witnessing this, Liu Weitian, Hu Weiyuan, and the others also wanted to rush out imdiately. However, the mont they approached the Blood-eyed Mantises, the creatures that were originally kneeling rose to their feet, their blood-red eyes radiating a fierce light.
Perhaps the suppressive power of the divine blood hadn’t completely dispersed yet, so the Blood-eyed Mantises refrained from launching an imdiate attack. Even so, they didn’t allow Liu Weitian and the others to leave their attack range either.

Hu Weiyuan barked angrily in Ye Chenfeng’s direction, “Hey, brat! Get us out of here as well, or you’ll regret it later!”
Resting his head against Qin Shuangshuang’s fragrant shoulder, with her scent constantly wafting into his nose, Ye Chenfeng sneered at Hu Weiyuan, “Are you threatening ? I think you’ll soon be the main course for those mantises.”
Hu Weiyuan, stunned by Ye Chenfeng’s taunt, suddenly rembered his precarious situation. He had no leverage to threaten Ye Chenfeng and turned pale with a mix of anger and sha. On the other hand, Liu Weitian spoke in a calm tone, “Nephew Qin, Mr. Ye, we were forced into chasing you. If you lead us out of here, we promise never to trouble you again.”
Ye Chenfeng snorted disdainfully at Liu Weitian’s words and turned to Qin Shuangshuang, saying, “Let’s hurry and leave. I can’t maintain the suppression on these Blood-eyed Mantises for much longer—any delay, and we’ll die here.”
“Got it!” Qin Shuangshuang replied softly, a blush consistently tinging her cheeks.
Seeing Ye Chenfeng and Qin Shuangshuang preparing to leave, Liu Weitian and Hu Weiyuan panicked. Hu Weiyuan quickly switched to pleading, “Mr. Ye, we know we were wrong. Please, forgive us just this once. We’re even willing to kneel if that’s what it takes!”
“Thud!”
Hu Weiyuan imdiately knelt in the direction of Ye Chenfeng and Qin Shuangshuang. Following his lead, Liu Weitian and the remaining two Spirit Communication Realm experts also dropped to their knees. Liu Weitian said, “Mr. Ye, we’re kneeling to apologize!”
It was clear that individuals like Liu Weitian and Hu Weiyuan were the type willing to discard their dignity for survival. After Ye Chenfeng and Qin Shuangshuang disappeared completely out of their sight, Hu Weiyuan pounded his fist on the ground in frustration, shouting furiously, “Those bastards! I, Hu Weiyuan, won’t let them get away with this!”
However, without the suppressive force of Ye Chenfeng’s divine blood, the Blood-eyed Mantises soon returned to their feral states. As Hu Weiyuan finished his outburst, the swarm of Blood-eyed Mantises instantly engulfed him and Liu Weitian’s group.
anwhile, as Qin Shuangshuang pressed forward with Ye Chenfeng, she asked, “Ye Chenfeng, what just happened back there?”
Seeing that Ye Chenfeng remained silent, Qin Shuangshuang turned to look at him in her arms, only to find that he had already fallen unconscious. This alard her greatly—she urgently needed to find a place to properly treat his injuries.

Choosing to feign ignorance, she replied, “Brother Zhao, we don’t truly understand Ye Chenfeng well enough. Perhaps all along, he’s just been fooling us with his facade.”

The door to the room suddenly swung open, and in walked Zhang Wenxuan and Wang Yongxing.
Previously, Wang Yongxing had been entrusted with the spirit grasses for refining the Han Qing Pill by Jiang Yunting. Entering the room, Wang Yongxing addressed Jiang Yunting, “Princess Yunting, the Han Qing Pill has failed completely in refinent.”

“Failed? How could it have failed?” Jiang Yunting’s emotions fluctuated violently. Perhaps deep down, a part of her felt guilty for misunderstanding Ye Chenfeng. She didn’t want to see another tragedy befall the mbers of the Cang Lang rcenary Group.
