Capítulo 1940: Chapter 1929: Exclusion

Three days passed in the blink of an eye.

During these three days, Yang Haotian, Chen Yuanxiong, Li Xinwen, and Sun Xiaohan stayed obediently within the Qingyue Sect courtyard, hardly stepping out.

Ye Chenfeng also stayed in the courtyard during the day, with Xue Wanqing occasionally coming to his room to find him.

Mostly, they would just chat casually with Ye Chenfeng, indicating that Xue Wanqing really wanted to spend so ti with him, which troubled Ye Chenfeng greatly.

Of course, every night when it beca quiet, Ye Chenfeng would still sneak out with the help of Old Bai and Old Hei to conceal his presence, making it impossible for even a Heavenly God Realm expert to detect him.

Based on his senses over the past three days, Ye Chenfeng vaguely felt the approximate location of the legendary Flood Dragon, and given so ti, he believed finding it wouldn’t be a problem.

The night slowly descended.

This night, Jiaolong City’s manor was destined to be bustling.

This massive manor had over a hundred courtyards, and besides the courtyards, there was a grand palace at the center of the manor where tonight’s banquet was to be held.

Led by Xue Wanqing, Uncle Zhao, and Uncle Li, Ye Chenfeng and Yang Haotian, along with the group, stepped out of the courtyard. Qingyue Sect was now at the center of attention, and if it weren’t necessary to attend this evening banquet, Xue Wanqing would not have planned to leave the courtyard.

Many sects avoided Xue Wanqing and the Qingyue Sect people as they walked down the path.

Qingyue Sect had caught the eyes of the Jins from the Profound Continent, which was no laughing matter, and getting too close to Qingyue Sect could likely lead to getting caught in trouble.

Feeling the avoidance as if they were seen as a plague, Yang Haotian and the others were extrely dissatisfied inside, even causing Xue Wanqing to furrow her brows.

About ten minutes later, Xue Wanqing, Ye Chenfeng, and the others arrived at the palace.

The palace was brightly lit.

As Xue Wanqing, Ye Chenfeng, and the others stepped into the palace, they saw nurous rectangular tables set up, with maids bustling about.

The tables were covered with various delicious dishes and wines, which could be considered ordinary spirit dishes and spiritual wine that benefited cultivators’ bodies.

Of course, the premium or exceptional spirit dishes and spiritual wines were extrely valuable, and almost impossible to enjoy in the Spirit Continent.

Already, so sects attending the Profound Heaven Gala had arrived in the spacious palace, and upon seeing Qingyue Sect, they all moved further away.

As for Xiao Yongzhan, the emissary from Central Continent, the two other major sects from the Spirit Continent, Tong Tian Sword Sect and Valley of Despair, as well as the City Lord of Jiaolong City, had yet to arrive.

As ti slowly passed.

More and more sects entered the palace, yet without exception, everyone avoided Qingyue Sect mbers, so much so that there was no one within five ters of Xue Wanqing, Ye Chenfeng, and the others.

Qingyue Sect was completely rejected.

Soon after, Wang Liyuan, the City Lord of Jiaolong City, strutted in, not casting even a glance at Qingyue Sect mbers as he interacted with other sects.

Since learning that Qingyue Sect had offended the Jins from the Profound Continent, Wang Liyuan had resolved to distance himself from Qingyue Sect.

Seeing Wang Liyuan completely ignore them, Yang Haotian was infuriated, saying, “This damn Jiaolong City Lord changes faces faster than flipping pages. Not long ago, when we arrived at Jiaolong City, he greeted us with a smile! And now he pretends not to know us?”

Ye Chenfeng shrugged casually and said, “Haotian, you probably don’t know; there are plenty of lapdogs in this world.”

Being rejected by these sects also left Ye Chenfeng a tad disgruntled.

None of them expected Ye Chenfeng to directly call Wang Liyuan a lapdog, and Ye Chenfeng’s voice was not quiet, allowing almost everyone in the palace to hear.

Suddenly, the palace grew eerily silent.

With a loud “bang,” the wine glass in Wang Liyuan’s hand shattered instantaneously, having been called a lapdog by so young kid, how could he endure such an insult as the dignified City Lord of Jiaolong City?

Wang Liyuan stord in front of Xue Wanqing, his gaze fixed on the calm Ye Chenfeng, questioning, “Sect Master Xue, is this the behavior of your Qingyue Sect disciples? I think you should withdraw from the Profound Heaven Gala soon! Such people aren’t qualified to participate.”

Ye Chenfeng intended to lay low, but there’s a condition: not being bullied while doing so. If bullied, then no point in keeping a low profile!

During the Profound Heaven Gala, no one dared to openly act against Qingyue Sect, so Ye Chenfeng felt no need to constrain himself. Would others cease their provocation just because Qingyue Sect kept a low profile?

The answer was clearly no.

The more low-key you beco, the more rambunctious these lapdogs might get.

Indeed, Ye Chenfeng could take out the dicine King Token to ease the situation, but doing so would an owing a favor to the Alchemy Pavilion, and the more the dicine King Token is used, the deeper the favors owed.

For soone like Ye Chenfeng, who always pays back favors, he didn’t want to use the dicine King Token in such a minor occasion; that would be overkill.

Before Xue Wanqing could speak, Ye Chenfeng went ahead, looking at Wang Liyuan, and said, “What Qingyue Sect disciples’ nature is none of your business. You want Qingyue Sect to withdraw from the Profound Heaven Gala? May I ask, who are you to decide which sects stay or leave? What a bold claim, soone unknowing might think you’re an emissary sent from Central Continent. Do you want to replace the actual emissary from there?”

This enormous accusation left Wang Liyuan trembling with anger. If the Central Continent emissary heard this, they might think poorly of him, and he was rely the City Lord of Jiaolong City.

Wang Liyuan’s spiritual energy surged inside him, his gaze filled with killing intent locked onto Ye Chenfeng, who continued, “What’s wrong? Did I hit the mark? You’re just the small-ti City Lord of Jiaolong City. Do you want to attack here? Planning to disrupt the rules of the Profound Heaven Gala? Quite brave! I’m impressed by your courage.”

Ye Chenfeng addressed the surrounding people, saying, “Everyone can see, our City Lord here plans to disrupt the rules of the Profound Heaven Gala, so be witnesses for .”

With his face flushed red from rage, Wang Liyuan’s spiritual energy inside surged chaotically. He strained to suppress his inner fury, knowing that any action might lead to being killed by Central Continent’s emissary.

But the overwhelming rage coupled with disrupted spiritual energy caused a sweetness in his throat, and blood trickled from Wang Liyuan’s corners of his mouth—Ye Chenfeng had effectively infuriated him to the point of spitting blood.

Wang Liyuan shouted, “Fine, fine. Qingyue Sect will surely face isolation; not a single sect will co near you. If so, I’ll eat my hat.”

“Chenfeng, need assistance?”

Su Yue and Su Bingyun hurriedly appeared beside Ye Chenfeng, just as the conflict with Wang Liyuan arose, the mbers of Snow Moon Valley entered the palace.

Without hesitation, Su Yue and Su Bingyun joined Ye Chenfeng, aware he needed their presence.

With a gentle glance at Su Yue and Su Bingyun, Ye Chenfeng addressed Wang Liyuan, “It seems soone is willing to approach us. Why not put your head on the line, City Lord Wang?”

With rage overtaking sanity, Wang Liyuan saw Su Yue and Su Bingyun beside Ye Chenfeng, heard the sarcastic comnt, and again shouted, spewing two mouthfuls of blood, gasping between breaths.

Ye Chenfeng’s harsh words causing Wang Liyuan to spit blood elicited widened eyes and twitching mouths among cultivators present; Ye Chenfeng’s scorn was overwhelmingly strong.

Most crucially, Wang Liyuan could not retaliate, bottling his fury, which led to him continuously spitting blood.
