Looking down at countless people below bowing and worshiping, the sixteen eyes of Orochi's eight-headed serpent avatar were filled with pride.
It gazed coldly at Xu Hao and said, "Xu Hao, do you see this? This is my status in Dongying, this is the energy I, Orochi, command! Although your strength is formidable, here in Dongying, everything is under my rule!"
Its colossal body floated in mid-air, creating an extrely striking presence.
But Xu Hao saw very clearly that this guy did it on purpose, just to show the world that it is a divine being.
In truth, its real body is over fifty ters long; it's just hiding most of it.
Yet seeing such a giant creature, Xu Hao's heart was still shaken for a mont.
Nature is indeed miraculous, having created sothing so imnse.
Xu Hao said blandly, "Don't you get tired of pretending to be a god all the ti? You and I both know that so-called abodes of the gods are rely people or monster beasts who've achieved a high level of cultivation. Even though you are sowhat peculiar with eight heads, you are ultimately just a monster beast. If you want to beco a deity, first cultivate to the level of the gods!"
"Hmph! Xu Hao, I feel like you're just envious and resentful. Do you think you're upset because I enjoy such a high status in Dongying?" Orochi's avatar mocked.
"I envy you? Don't make laugh! Dongying is nothing but a pinprick, and your people are so ignorant to worship soone pretending to be a god. If these people were to worship , I would be ashad." Xu Hao said flatly.
"Hmph! Xu Hao, you clearly envy , though you won't admit it; I can understand, as you still want to save face. But now, you dare block my way—then you're finished. I'll kill you outright instead of waiting until you enter my grand hall." Orochi's avatar said confidently.
"Heh, do you believe your own words? If you actually were confident about killing , why flee? Aren't your actions contradictory to your claims?" Xu Hao chuckled lightly.
This creature truly goes to absurd lengths to maintain face; perhaps pretending to be a god is entertaining to common folk?
Xu Hao suddenly thought, if given the chance, should he try this himself?
Seems rather amusing.
"Hmph! I'm letting you walk away unhard, but you squander the chance, still wanting to confront . Since you're so reckless, I'll oblige and show you true cruelty!" Orochi's avatar beca visibly angry.
"Alas, a beast remains a beast, no matter how strong, unable to change its fundantal nature. If a person cultivated for ages like this, they'd have achieved true serenity. Yet, you are so easily enraged by ." Xu Hao said with disdain.
No matter how powerful this creature might be, it's ultimately just a beast.
Hearing Xu Hao publicly insult their deity, the people of Dongying were imnsely furious.
"Baka yarou! That damned Xu Hao dares speak to Yamata no Orochi like this—he must die today! No one can stop us!"
"Xu Hao is truly audacious, publicly humiliating our god—it's just because he's too high up, otherwise I'd go beat him!"
Qiu er suddenly smiled at the person, "Co on, co on, though Xu Hao's up there where you can't reach him, I'm right here! Hit , co hit !"
Seeing Qiu er speak so insolently, the person beca even angrier.
But he didn't dare attack Qiu er.
Qiu er had taken action before, and her power was beyond what they could challenge; one slip-up, and they'd be dead.
Seeing the commotion below, Xu Hao laughed, "Ah, you respect Yamata no Orochi so much daily, but now? Though Orochi is present, it still can't protect you—isn't there sothing odd about that?"
Orochi's avatar imdiately retorted coldly, "Xu Hao, stop sowing discord. I'm not omnipotent, how could I protect everyone always? But I will certainly assist with everything I see!"
"Oh? Really? But from what I know, you haven't intervened much over the decades—so is this how you protect your people?" Xu Hao said casually.
"Haha, Xu Hao, do you believe your own words? Don't assu I don't know your intentions—making look bad before them won't work!" Orochi saw through Xu Hao's plan and imdiately scoffed.
