Chen Bin asked Tan Rongxi, "Still haven’t found the person yet?"
"No! I’ve searched through all of Ye Hong and Cui Yongjuan’s friends and relatives, truly haven’t found anything."
Frowning tightly, Chen Bin also grew puzzled.
"Strange. Where could they have hidden the child? During this period, have Ye Hong and Cui Yongjuan left Dragon Mountain?"
"They have left, but I’ve sent people to track them every ti and found nothing unusual."
"Where do the two of them typically go?"
"Ye Hong goes to the Provincial Committee Family Courtyard, and Cui Yongjuan often ets her ex-husband."
"Ex-husband? She’s divorced, why is she still looking for her ex-husband?"
"Probably to see her eldest daughter, I guess."
"Then have you checked her ex-husband’s place?"
Upon hearing this, Tan Rongxi instantly had an epiphany.
But Chen Bin didn’t trust him and directly instructed Cheng Zhuang to personally lead a team to Cui Yongjuan’s ex-husband’s house.
After arriving at the destination, Cheng Zhuang assigned two people to guard the entrance to the stairway.

Cheng Zhuang first showed his police badge and then said, "May I co inside and talk?"
After a brief hesitation, the man nodded.
"Co in, then!"
Entering the living room, Cheng Zhuang took a quick look around before asking, "You’re Qin Jiakai, right?"
"That’s . Officer, may I ask what this is about?"
"We have received a report of a missing child in the vicinity. We need to conduct a sweep here and hope you’ll cooperate."
"What kind of cooperation do you need from ?"
"May I search every room in your house?"
"You may, but my daughter is already asleep. Seeing strangers suddenly might scare her."
"Don’t worry, I’ll finish the sweep quickly and leave without disturbing the child’s rest."
After so hesitation, Qin Jiakai finally nodded.
"Let wake the child first, so she won’t be frightened by your sudden appearance in her room."
"Alright, hurry up."
Imdiately, Qin Jiakai walked to a room’s door and pushed it open.
Cheng Zhuang followed behind, glancing inside. He imdiately recognized Cui Yeye, the person he had been searching for all this ti!
After being woken up, Cui Yeye rubbed her eyes and ca out of the room.
With a smile, Cheng Zhuang asked Qin Jiakai, "Is she your daughter?"
"No, she’s my ex-wife’s child. She said she’s being temporarily fostered here."
"What’s her na?"
"Cui Yeye."
Upon hearing this, Cheng Zhuang didn’t hesitate and revealed his intentions outright.
"To be frank with you, I’m from the Dragon Mountain County Public Security Bureau. I’m here to locate Cui Yongjuan’s illegitimate daughter!"
Qin Jiakai protected Cui Yeye behind him, his eyes full of wariness as he stared at Cheng Zhuang.
"What do you want? I won’t hand over the child to you!"
"Don’t get worked up. I’m not taking the child from you; I just need to confirm she’s here."
"If you’ve confird it, then leave quickly. You’re not welco in my ho!"
"That’s not an option. I need to stay and ensure you don’t harm her."
Although Qin Jiakai found this reason utterly ridiculous, he didn’t argue further.
His ex-wife had simply told him not to hand the child over to anyone.
All he needed to do was abide by that rule.
Soon, Chen Bin received a phone call, learning that Cui Yeye was indeed at Qin Jiakai’s ho, which made him very pleased.
He imdiately instructed Tan Rongxi to bring Ye Hong and Cui Yongjuan to the guest house.
As soon as she entered the room, Cui Yongjuan went berserk, charging at Chen Bin.
Fortunately, Tan Rongxi was there to block her. Otherwise, Chen Bin’s face would have been clawed beyond recognition.
"You bastard! What have you done to my child?"
Chen Bin calmly replied, "Rest assured, your child is safe. I won’t harm her. My principle is to never involve family in trouble."
Upon hearing that, Cui Yongjuan cald down sowhat.
Ye Hong, on the other hand, stared daggers at Chen Bin, his beady eyes filled with venom.
"Chen, what exactly do you want?!"
Seeing the other’s arrogance, Chen Bin ignored him and turned to Cui Yongjuan.
"What about you? What do you want to do?"
Head lowered, Cui Yongjuan’s face turned pale.
"As long as you don’t harm my child, I’ll do whatever you want to."
At this mont, Ye Hong continued to grit his teeth and howl at Chen Bin.
"Chen, you’ve already ruined my son, and now there’s only this ntally impaired daughter left! Do you truly want to eradicate us? Aren’t you afraid of karma?!"
Slap!
Chen Bin slapped Ye Hong hard across the face.
He roared in anger, "Karma? The one who most deserves karma is you! If it weren’t for your failed parenting, how would things have reached this point? Your son’s plight is entirely your own doing!"
Feeling the stinging heat on his chubby cheek, Ye Hong’s lungs nearly exploded with rage.
However, victory belongs to the strongest, defeat to the weak. He couldn’t overpower Chen Bin, and now his daughter had also fallen into the latter’s hands.
All Ye Hong could do was silently endure.

Suddenly, Cui Yongjuan knelt at Chen Bin’s feet, crying and pleading.
"County Magistrate Chen, I beg you, please show rcy and spare us! My child’s mind isn’t well, and if anything happens to or Ye Hong, how is she supposed to survive? I beg you, I’m begging you!"
As she spoke, Cui Yongjuan kowtowed repeatedly to Chen Bin.

Standing before him, Chen Bin sneered.

Eyes lighting up, Ye Hong asked in surprise, "You’re not lying to , are you?"
"At this point, what would lying accomplish?"
Knowing he had completely lost to Chen Bin, Ye Hong imdiately kowtowed.
"I beg you, please spare us!"
Though Ye Hong finally surrendered, Chen Bin showed no sign of joy.
He kicked him to the ground again, growling viciously.
"For the sake of the child, I’ll let you off, but from now on, you must leave Dragon Mountain!"
