"Can't get out." Huang Xiaorou's expression suddenly beca tense; this was the first ti she encountered such a situation.
At this mont, Ye Tianfan also turned around and looked. The corridor appeared to be like a mirror reflectively extending into the distance in both directions, with no end in sight. The lighting dimd, and the red carpet beneath repeated its pattern every three ters. Except for the wall lamps spaced every ter, there were no other differences on the walls.
Ye Tianfan felt his heart sink. He knew they had encountered an array, similar to the Great Eight Trigrams Array outside dicine King Valley. The small corridor wasn't actually long, but could trap people within. If the key to break through the array couldn't be found, they might be stuck for one or two days.
However, at that mont, the whole corridor started to shake slightly. Huang Xiaorou's expression changed dramatically: "The ship must have set sail."
"Just stay where you are, don't move," Ye Tianfan quickly instructed, having noticed that the walls on both sides of the corridor were equipped with many ejection chanisms. These traps weren't sophisticated; the slight protrusions beneath the wallpaper made them obvious.
To Ye Tianfan, these traps were nothing more than child's play. The ones behind Tianyu Group should understand this as well.
Yet they did it anyway. The superficial traps might not harm Ye Tianfan, but for Huang Xiaorou, they were deadly, so Ye Tianfan only asked Huang Xiaorou not to move.
Ye Tianfan slowly turned around and walked towards Huang Xiaorou. Judging from the position they ca in from earlier, the small door they entered through should be two or three ters behind Huang Xiaorou.
However, the corridor was too narrow. For Ye Tianfan to reach behind Huang Xiaorou, he had to squeeze sideways to pass.
Thus, the two were almost pressed together, maneuvering in the narrow corridor. Ye Tianfan could even feel the warm breath from Huang Xiaorou's nose. They were nearly in zero distance, and even Huang Xiaorou's chest was being compressed out of shape.
Successfully getting behind Huang Xiaorou, Ye Tianfan began to feel along the wall with his hands. He knew that all arrays were optical illusions; simpler arrays could confuse the eyes, more advanced ones could obscure perception, and the most sophisticated could mislead the mind.
But Ye Tianfan didn't think the array before him was clever because since boarding the "Lover" liner, everything felt rather primitive, backward, silly, and low, especially with a chairman from an unremarkable company who couldn't be picked out from a crowd, it was an eye-opener.
So Ye Tianfan believed this array wouldn't be any more advanced.
"Have you found it?" Huang Xiaorou's face was sowhat anxious. Unlike Ye Tianfan, she couldn't remain calm in such a suspenseful corridor.
Ye Tianfan continued to feel along the wall: "Found it."
Lin Moyu found a protrusion behind the wallpaper. It seed to be a doorknob, but when he pulled it with force.
"Crack..."
The doorknob was pulled straight off, and the lock that Ye Tianfan had previously damaged fell to the ground.
"Hah..."
Ye Tianfan shrugged helplessly; it seed they didn't want him to leave.

Ye Tianfan tossed aside the doorknob, deciding that since he couldn't leave, he might as well go inside and have a look! After all, he initially intended to find the chairman of Tianyu Group upon entering.

Passing a corridor corner, Ye Tianfan soon ca to a rest area outside, where the door was wide open, and cleaning staff were tidying up.
This made Ye Tianfan frown. In this corridor, there was only one rest area, with nowhere else to hide. He was sure that after the chairman of Tianyu Group ca in, he must have rested here.
But now, there was no sign of him.

"Must have left the ship." The cleaner replied irritably.
Ye Tianfan and Huang Xiaorou exchanged glances, puzzled inside, wondering why the chairman of Tianyu Group would leave early from the banquet he hosted.
Specifically, the chairman had only given a brief speech at the start before departing abruptly, leaving Ye Tianfan and Huang Xiaorou with a sense of unease.
"Invited us here only to run off himself," Ye Tianfan remarked with a frown.
"Will he make a big move? I'll call the company to find out," Huang Xiaorou said more worried than Ye Tianfan. Invited to the "Lover" liner, the Huang Group had no one leading it and was already on shaky ground. If soone acted against them again, the consequences would be disastrous.
Huang Xiaorou picked up her phone to call the company and inquire but found that her phone had no signal!
"Oh no, there's no signal," Huang Xiaorou's face suddenly tensed.
Ye Tianfan checked his phone as well, and indeed, it displayed no service.
"Get off the ship."
Ye Tianfan had a bad feeling. From the mont he boarded the "Lover" liner, there hadn't been a hint of danger at this so-called Hongn Banquet. From every angle, it seed like a waste of ti!
The chairman of Tianyu Group must be trying to trap him here! Leaving the ship early ant he was planning sothing big, and they had to return to the company imdiately!
Ye Tianfan rushed to the deck. By now, the "Lover" liner had long left the pier, and looking back only revealed the dock's distant silhouette.
"How do we get back?" Huang Xiaorou asked.
Ye Tianfan's face darkened, his gaze landing on the lifeboats of the "Lover". If possible, Ye Tianfan really didn't want to row back using the lifeboats; his previous shipwreck experience left him with a deep-seated fear of them.
But now, the only options were the lifeboats or the helicopter at the back of the deck.
Unfortunately, Ye Tianfan didn't know how to pilot a helicopter.
