The Illusion Realm began to blur more, and cracks started appearing all around.
Suddenly, the Illusion Realm shattered like broken glass.
Ye Tianfan saw an infinite burst of light before his eyes and instinctively closed them.
Shortly after, Ye Tianfan heard the howling wind.
Ye Tianfan opened his eyes, finding himself still in the sky, still south of Copper Gong Town. Instinctively, he looked in the direction of Yun Tian, Bai Feng, and the others, only to see that they were still searching for sothing.
Ye Tianfan felt that not much ti had passed, like when he first ca to search the south side. Yet, he now had new doubts: was he in reality now, or still within the Illusion Realm?
Ye Tianfan instinctively recognized the stone in front of him as a roasted whole dragon.
But nothing changed, the wind still howled. Could this ti be real?
Ye Tianfan assessed his surroundings. Generally, mid-to-low level Illusion Techniques are based on the consciousness of the one trapped. Only high-level Illusion Techniques can directly change the world, making people feel everything is real.
Ye Tianfan didn't directly consider this an advanced Illusion Technique, because even if a cultivator proficient in Illusion Techniques can cast a high-level one, their power would generally exceed the Realm of Ten Directions. A person at the Ten Directions Realm could kill Ye Tianfan just by summoning a Spiritual Power Ball, without any moves. Thus, Ye Tianfan didn't consider the high-level Illusion Techniques.
Aside from escaping through logic, like Ye Tianfan cleverly breaking the Illusion Realm earlier, mid-to-low level Illusion Techniques can only be escaped with imnse power.
Or through another thod, which is relying on extraordinary willpower to directly beco immune to these Illusion Techniques—though such willpower is extrely rare.
Another most dangerous thod is to directly shut off one's consciousness.
Why is this considered the most dangerous thod? Because once Ye Tianfan shuts off his consciousness, he becos completely unaware of any external information. Regardless of any Defensive or Offensive Magical Treasure he deploys, without connection to his consciousness, they will be retracted—so returning to their owner, others just falling to the ground. Ye Tianfan would then be at anyone's rcy, and he wouldn't know how long it would take to regain consciousness, as ti has no concept here. It might be that Ye Tianfan regains it imdiately, thus his Divine Sense hasn't even retracted the Xuanyuan Tower yet. Or it might take years or never, during which an ordinary person could easily kill Ye Tianfan with a kitchen knife.
Of course, the knife would need to be sharp, as Ye Tianfan's body, after several refinents, is stronger than an ordinary person's, not to ntion those who have undergone Body Refinent exercises.
Ye Tianfan summoned his Xuanyuan Tower. Though it would return to him automatically after he shuts off his consciousness, if he recovered quickly, he could instantly regain control. It's a small chance, but still a possibility.
After summoning the Xuanyuan Tower, its brilliance attracted Yun Tian's attention. Yun Tian was puzzled, wondering if a battle had occurred. But seeing Ye Tianfan rely envelop himself with the Xuanyuan Tower, with no signs of combat around, he figured Ye Tianfan was just being cautious.
So, Yun Tian didn't focus too much on Ye Tianfan thereafter, continuing his search for clues.
As for Ye Tianfan, after making preparations, he directly shut off his consciousness. This was extrely risky; one misstep could render him a lamb at the slaughter.
Ye Tianfan was about to sever his consciousness when he suddenly realized he was in the air. If he cut off his consciousness, he would fall and half-kill himself.
Ye Tianfan quickly landed on top of a residence, then began severing his consciousness.
After severing his consciousness, Ye Tianfan experienced a magical sensation, as if he were omnipotent. This was actually the case; within Ye Tianfan's consciousness, he was the sky, the earth, the sole legend. He could build any myth within his mind, akin to a daydream filled with random fantasies, achieving godlike self-perception.
However, while ordinary people rely fantasize, Ye Tianfan's experiences were real within his consciousness.
Ye Tianfan thought, no wonder so people take several months, years, or decades to wake up after severing their consciousness. If Ye Tianfan had nothing urgent, he would also want to remain in this omnipotent world forever.
But he couldn't, because Ye Tianfan rembered that in the outside world, he still had tasks to complete.
So, Ye Tianfan obliterated everything before him, linking his consciousness back to the real world.
Upon regaining consciousness, Ye Tianfan discovered that not much ti had passed outside, as Yun Tian and the others hadn't co looking for him. This ant Ye Tianfan hadn't been missing for long.
Ye Tianfan resummoned the Xuanyuan Tower and warily surveyed his surroundings. He was still on the roof of the residence where he had landed, confirming he hadn't fallen into another Illusion Realm; he had been in the real world earlier.
Ye Tianfan then flew into the sky, beginning to search for clues.
anwhile, Yun Tian had seen Ye Tianfan summon the Xuanyuan Tower and then descend. He thought perhaps Ye Tianfan had discovered a clue, but then questioned why no signal flares had been sent. Or perhaps he was confirming sothing?
Soon after, Yun Tian continued searching for his own clues while observing Ye Tianfan, wondering if he had indeed discovered sothing.
However, it wasn't long before Yun Tian saw Ye Tianfan, still with the Xuanyuan Tower, fly back up, realizing Ye Tianfan hadn't found anything useful.
After confirming he wasn't in an Illusion Realm, Ye Tianfan flew towards Yun Tian, rembering Yun Tian's Kirin Seal should have an anti-Illusion function.
But halfway there, he suddenly paused, recalling Yun Tian had ntioned his treasure's anti-Illusion function within the Illusion Realm. In reality, Ye Tianfan wasn't sure if it held that power. Nonetheless, he decided to ask, and also inform Yun Tian about his experience in the Illusion Realm, letting them stay alert as well.
