"Don't we still have several thousand disciples in the Taichu Sect?" Tian Chu Zhenren said angrily, "Then why is it only my disciple that's being targeted?"
"What do you an by 'targeted'?" Elder Taichu looked sowhat angry, "This mission suits Nephew Tianfan, that's why I'm assigning him as the executor of this mission. Is that wrong?"
"Do you not know he's the only disciple I have left?" Tian Chu Zhenren exclaid!
"So what? It's not a question of how many disciples are left, do you understand?" Elder Taichu responded!
"It's not a question of a few disciples, then why don't you go to Senior Brother Zhichu's disciples, or Junior Brother Zhen Chu's disciples? Why pick Tianfan?" Tian Chu Zhenren roared in anger!
Tian Chu Zhenren couldn't understand why, with only one disciple left, Ye Tianfan still had to be sent out. Didn't they realize it's highly dangerous outside the Taichu Sect now?
Besides, upon hearing the words 'recon squad', Tian Chu Zhenren knew this mission was extrely tough. It wasn't just about finding the base location of those organizations, but also assessing the strength of that base!
Checking the location of the base might be possible, but assessing the strength inside the base requires infiltration, which could be a death sentence if there were any secret codes or rules. Recklessly barging in would likely lead to demise. Besides, if it were the headquarters with high-ranking figures or the final monster, entering would an a dead-end!
"Is your disciple the only one that matters? Are others' disciples not disciples too? Even I sent Yun Tian away, don't you think I worry too?" Elder Taichu shouted back!
Actually, Elder Taichu intended to send the Taichu Sect's seed disciples to a base with no prominent figures outside of it, and he initially ant for Ye Tianfan to scout a base of equal strength. A weaker base wouldn't challenge Ye Tianfan, while a stronger one would endanger him. Ultimately, Elder Taichu was still quite biased.
But Elder Taichu couldn't express these thoughts, as it involved the existence of the Sky-Mirror. Regarding the Sky-Mirror's existence, Elder Taichu truly had no way to vocalize it. This was classified information of the Taichu Sect that couldn't be casually disclosed.

anwhile, atop Ye Tianfan's head, tic-tac-toe marks rampantly appeared. Ye Tianfan wasn't ignorant; he could tell Elder Taichu and his master were negotiating, and the whole talk about thirteen or eighteen was about the number of talented disciples Taizhu Peak could gain after the war!
Ye Tianfan also heard Elder Taichu's previous statent of not sending him to a particularly dangerous base. Though he didn't know how Elder Taichu would determine which bases weren't dangerous, treating him like a bargaining chip was entirely wrong!
Ye Tianfan looked at the two with a sullen expression, his eyes brimming with rage!
