Outside the cave, there was a Guardian at the mid-stage True God level from the Qingyue Sword Sect. Ye Feng stepped out of the cave and saw a middle-aged man in a gray robe, looking at him with a warm and smiling expression.
"Ye Feng, let introduce myself. I am the 33rd ranked Guardian of the Qingyue Sword Sect, Yue Tian..." said the man.
Ye Feng clasped his fists, "So it’s Guardian Yue Tian. What brings you to see ?"
Yue Tian smiled and said, "It’s like this. Since you’ve beco the Chief Disciple, you might team up with us Guardians for missions in the Skyfire Secret Realm. I, along with so other Guardian Brothers, have arranged a gathering outside the sect for you, to celebrate your title as Chief Disciple and to beco better acquainted with you. We hope you can join us..."
"Outside the sect?" A trace of doubt appeared in Ye Feng’s eyes, and Yue Tian hurriedly explained, "Ye Feng Junior Brother, no need to worry. It’s just a mile from the sect, hardly any distance at all. I heard that Yu Qing has a good relationship with you, so we’ve also invited her to avoid making you feel awkward. She’s already there. How about doing us the honor?"
"Yu Qing is also there?" Surprise flashed across Ye Feng’s face, though on reflection, it was reasonable.
Yu Qing was rely an Inner Sect Disciple, whereas Yue Tian and the others were Guardians and True God powerhouses. Receiving their invitation, Yu Qing was unlikely to easily refuse, so Ye Feng nodded. "In that case, let’s go..."
Upon hearing Ye Feng agree, the smile on Yue Tian’s face deepened.
"Let’s go!" Yue Tian then led Ye Feng out towards the area beyond the sect, and Ye Feng was filled with doubts. The gathering could have taken place in the Qingyue Sword Sect, yet they opted for outside the sect.
Initially, Ye Feng thought to decline, but given that Yu Qing was also present, he agreed. After all, Yu Qing was Ye Feng’s only friend in the Qingyue Sword Sect, and he did not wish for any mishaps to befall her, which was why he agreed.
Before long, they arrived at their destination, a pavilion just outside the Qingyue Sword Sect mountain gate.
Inside the pavilion, there were three others, a woman and two n. The woman, of course, was Yu Qing.
Among the two n, one was in the late stage of the True God Realm, and the other had reached the pinnacle of the True God Realm.
On the table in the pavilion were various Spirit Fruits and Spiritual Wine, and Guardian Yue Tian said, "Brother and Sister Guardians, Ye Feng has arrived!"
The two n and Yu Qing stood up simultaneously and approached Ye Feng, all very enthusiastic.
"Senior Brother!" Yu Qing called out to Ye Feng, who nodded slightly, "Just call Ye Feng, there’s no need for that."
"Hmm!" Yu Qing nodded. Since Ye Feng had now beco the Chief of the Qingyue Sword Sect, all the disciples below the Guardians had to call him Senior Brother when they saw him, which was why Yu Qing addressed him as such.
Yue Tian laughed and said, "Co, Ye Feng, let introduce you. These two are our Qingyue Sword Sect’s Second Guardian, and the Eleventh Guardian. All three of us are disciples of the Third Elder..."
"I’ve t the two Guardians..." Ye Feng clasped his fists, his deanor remaining incredibly calm, without any ripple of emotion.
To Ye Feng’s surprise, the three of them were indeed disciples of the Third Elder, which seed to imply that the Third Elder valued Ye Feng greatly.
Whether it was during their ti in the Skyfire Secret Realm or within the Qingyue Sword Sect, the Third Elder had always protected Ye Feng.
Ye Feng was unsure of the Third Elder’s motives. Perhaps seeing Ye Feng as a talent, the elder wanted to protect him, or maybe there was another agenda. Ye Feng couldn’t be certain, but the Second Guardian was incredibly enthusiastic: "Co! Ye Feng, today is to celebrate your achievents, let’s chat as we drink!" Saying this, they took their seats, with the three Guardians being exceedingly cordial towards Ye Feng.
It felt not at all like their first eting, the conversation was pleasant, and soon an hour had passed.
At this mont, the Second Guardian looked at Ye Feng, "Ye Feng, are your cultivation resources scarce?"
"Oh? Why do you say that?" Ye Feng asked the Second Guardian, who replied, "Well, our master saw that Black Iron Sword in your hand today and found it quite subpar. Being our Qingyue Sword Sect Chief now, how can you wield such a commonplace sword? So, he specifically ordered us to bring you an outstanding Divine Sword to exchange!"
Upon hearing the Second Guardian’s words, Ye Feng felt a chill in his heart. Indeed, things weren’t so simple; it seed the celebration was a ruse, and what they truly wanted was his Slaughter Heaven!
