"Oh, about the Iron Blood Corps bastards, I really got on their bad side last ti. Can you help clean up their ss?" Lin Mu asked.
"There's nothing I can't handle. But this bunch of brats might not show respect; however, if they ss with you, don't hold back. Rember the survival rule I taught you: if no one offends , I won't offend them. But if soone wants your life, you take theirs first! The Iron Blood Corps is just a killing tool. If they seek your life, you don't need to show rcy." Elder Lin said.
"Okay, then I won't worry." Lin Mu chuckled. With such a monstrous old man backing him, what was there to fear? Even if he took out their leader and punched a hole in the sky, it wouldn't be a problem! Although the Iron Blood Corps is a mysterious official organization, it's nothing to fear for Elder Lin!
After hanging up, Man Luo curiously glanced at Lin Mu, having heard their conversation.
"What's your old man's identity?" Man Luo couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.
"Ah, that's a secret." Lin Mu replied with a mysterious air.
"Fine, if you don't want to tell, quit acting mysterious." Man Luo seed quite unhappy, turning her attention towards the window.
"Uh..." Lin Mu didn't want to offend the hot lady he had finally won over, so he reluctantly explained, "How should I say? This old guy is very monstrous and unique, making it hard to explain. He's just an amazing person, hard to sum up in one sentence. If I were to elaborate, I'm too lazy to talk about him. Since you're already my wife, I'll tell you his legend in due ti."
"h, legend? Have you been watching too much Arican TV?" Man Luo glared at Lin Mu. She wasn't too impressed by an old man, no matter how amazing and talented he was, since he had already passed his youthful pri, losing much of his male charm. So if he didn't want to talk, she let it go, changing the subject. "We're not returning to Wancheng?"
"Nope, we're not. The old man wants us to go to Zhengzhou for a mission, but that fits perfectly with your wish to settle scores with Jinye and get revenge for you!" Lin Mu chuckled.
Man Luo had little objection to finding Jinye in Zhengzhou for retribution; she was rather pleased. It was much better with Lin Mu accompanying her instead of taking her own people; knowing Jinye had his ultimate weapon, the DNA-catalyzing enzy, capable of transforming normal humans into terrifying zombies, her Won's Assassin Squad would likely perish quickly at his hand. Now, with Lin Mu, this ultimate weapon, joining her, success was within reach. With Lin Mu, this Ultraman Level powerhouse by her side, Man Luo had every reason not to fear any opponent, including Jinye!

The two had a good night's sleep, without exchanging words, and the next morning, Lin Mu and Man Luo tidied up and drove straight to Zhengzhou, Henan. The distance from Beijing to Zhengzhou is neither too far nor too close, roughly a thousand kiloters, taking about a day and night to drive, so starting early in the morning ant arriving in Zhengzhou around the next morning.
After Lin Mu's developnt, Man Luo's personality had changed considerably, no longer the icy beauty she once was. The two chatted happily along the way; even amid the monotonous driving, Lin Mu didn't feel any depression or unhappiness.
By nightfall, Lin Mu had already driven into the Henan area.
"Why don't I drive? You take a break?" Man Luo suggested from the passenger seat.
"No need, I'm fine." Lin Mu replied.
"Stop the car; I can drive. Plus, I won't be worse than you!"
Man Luo knew Lin Mu had been driving all day, and typically, one should rest after four hours behind the wheel. But Lin Mu was eager, so he hadn't rested; now his thinking was unclear, so much so that he didn't realize soone was tailgating him from behind.
Since Man Luo suggested sharing the driving ti and Lin Mu was indeed tired, he nodded and slowly pulled the car over to the roadside.
As soon as the car stopped, Lin Mu suddenly noticed that a trailing vehicle had also slowed down, keeping about fifty to sixty ters distance. Clearly visible, the car was slowing down, making Lin Mu sure that the vehicles behind were likely tailing them; there were not just one, but a least three.
Lin Mu's car speed, after slowing, gradually increased but not too fast.
"What's up? Aren't we switching drivers?" Man Luo puzzlingly asked Lin Mu as he drove away after seemingly stopping.
"Haha, I think we can't; cars are tailing us." Lin Mu laughed casually.
"What? Who's tailing us?" Man Luo glanced behind, seeing several cars but wondering how Lin Mu determined they were tailing.
"Are you sure?" Man Luo asked.
"Yeah, see for yourself." Lin Mu said, pressing the accelerator, speeding up fast. When his car sped up, the trailing car did too, maintaining a steady fifty to sixty-ter gap. After so ti, Lin Mu slowed down again, and the trailing car adjusted its speed as well, always keeping a safe distance.
This fast-slow pattern proved soone was tailing them, and Man Luo was convinced.
"Who could be following us?" Man Luo thought hard.
"If my guess is correct, they're probably from the Iron Blood Corps." Lin Mu smiled.
"Iron Blood Corps? What should we do?" Man Luo asked.
"What else? Counter soldiers with arms, floodwaters with dams!" Lin Mu chuckled, showing no sign of being anxious.
Lin Mu was driving on a desolate highway, where no other cars passed, and they'd been tailing him, clearly seeking an opportunity to strike.
During the day, there were more cars, so Lin Mu hadn't noticed the tail, nor could they form a blockade easily, since doing so in broad daylight would be too conspicuous. Now was the perfect ti for them to act.
