The shopkeeper looked at Lin Mu, shaking with anger. How could he not understand that this thousand yuan wasn't for hospital fees at all, but a slap-on-the-face fee!
The reasoning was simple: earlier, he insulted Lin Mu for not having a hundred yuan, and now, Lin Mu paid a thousand just to slap him in the face. Whether or not it was a slap in the actual sense, the shopkeeper's old face was definitely feeling it.
Seeing the situation, it seed like the shopkeeper wouldn't be able to do business for the next few days. His mouth was beaten so badly, he couldn't possibly face anyone!
You could say this sleazy shopkeeper was full of rage, but he was helpless. No matter how big the grievance, he could only swallow it. He couldn't outfight Lin Mu, so continuing to cause trouble would just be embarrassing.
"Haha, rember this in the future: as long as you're a seller, your status will always be humbler than the custor's. Rember, the custor is God. Never try to act superior in front of God! Otherwise, you'll end up like today!" Lin Mu said as he pulled Man Luo away from the scene.
Once they were out of the mall, Lin Mu and Man Luo got back into the car. "That shopkeeper was simply a scoundrel. Damn it! He didn't know any better, cursing left and right. He deserved a beating," Man Luo said indignantly, as she sat in the car, still seething from the insult she had received earlier.
Lin Mu had long since let go of his anger. Getting angry with this kind of trash wasn't worth it at all. Because as long as you live in this world, there will always be so trash popping up around you. The only choice you have is to ignore them. Otherwise, getting angry with trash isn't worth it! Trash is never valuable, and if you bother calculating with them, you just lower yourself.
"Hey, girl, isn't this unlike you?" Lin Mu said, looking at Man Luo.
Man Luo frowned and asked, "How is it not like ?"
"Well, based on your previous character, if soone dared talk to us like that, you would've already taken them down. But today, you seem pretty calm," Lin Mu said with a chuckle.
I must say, Man Luo had indeed changed slowly. From being utterly indifferent, she now occasionally smiled, even joked sotis. From not liking shopping, now she enjoys it like a regular girl, bargaining fiercely while at it. The biggest change was her temperant. If it had been the old Man Luo, that shopkeeper might not be alive today.
But Man Luo hadn't made a move, which surprised Lin Mu. Given her previous personality, the shopkeeper would have been left disabled.
Man Luo shrugged helplessly and changed the subject, "Alright, we've bought everything we needed. It's getting late, let's go eat."
"Okay, as you say, let's go have a feast!" Lin Mu laughed.
Just as he finished speaking, Man Luo pouted at Lin Mu, signaling ahead.

"Assaulting soone is illegal. You need to co with to the station for an investigation. If you resist, it will only add to your charges. Don't let this get out of hand. No matter how great your martial arts are, you'll never be invincible against governnt power," Zhou Jiande said sternly.
Looking at Zhou Jiande, Lin Mu chuckled, "Hehe, considering you're a decent cop, I won't hit you. Though you're a bit annoying, you're still a hundred tis better than Liu Dacheng. So, you can leave. I need to have dinner with my wife. I won't bother you."
Zhou Jiande watched Lin Mu wave so magnanimously, finding it amusing. Though he was there to trouble Lin Mu, it felt like the tables were turned, as if Lin Mu were letting him off. Even after assault, Lin Mu said he wouldn't bother with him?
Zhou Jiande had never encountered soone like Lin Mu before.
"Lin Mu, I think you're mistaken. You assaulted soone; we're taking you back for investigation," Zhou Jiande said, looking at Lin Mu.
"Investigate what? Didn't I already admit it was ? What's left to investigate?" Lin Mu shrugged.
"Since you did it, you need to co back with for a statent," Zhou Jiande insisted, as if determined to take Lin Mu back to the station.
Lin Mu helplessly looked askance, "You're not mistaken, are you? Go ask for a statent from whoever called, why bother with ?"
"According to regulations, as the person involved, you must co with us for a statent," Zhou Jiande insisted, looking sowhat helpless.
Lin Mu nodded, "Oh, so that's how it is."
Zhou Jiande saw Lin Mu nodding and assud Lin Mu agreed to go to the station with him, waving him to move along, "Alright then, let's go back."
"Sorry, my wife is hungry, so I must dine with her first. I'll co to the station when I'm free. Don't rush! If you can't wait, just find soone else to take a statent. There were witnesses," Lin Mu laughed.
Hearing Lin Mu's words, Zhou Jiande couldn't help but feel frustrated. What kind of person was this, almost like the world's biggest oddball!
"Do you really think eating is more important than our duty?" Zhou Jiande questioned Lin Mu.
