"No problem, I’ll spend a good amount of ti with you once I’m back. I’ll keep you company all night," Lin Mu grinned.
Zhou Xun knew exactly what Lin Mu ant by ’keeping company,’ and she couldn’t help but blush. A thought popped into her head — she hadn’t seen the big boss in a few days, so tonight she planned to take the initiative and go a little wild.
Thinking about it made Zhou Xun blush even more, and she felt a bit self-conscious. Zhou Xun, what are you thinking? How can you, a girl, be having these thoughts? But the truth was, this was precisely what she deeply yearned for.
"Mhm," Zhou Xun could only respond softly.
Lin Mu thought for a mont and added, "For this publicity tour, I’ll have Earth Wolf go with you to prevent any unexpected incidents."
After the last incident with the well-known host Wang Han at Xiangnan Mango Channel while recording Happy Camp, Lin Mu learned a lesson — it’s necessary to have soone for protection. And nowadays, which celebrity doesn’t have a bodyguard by their side? Having Earth Wolf protect Zhou Xun gave Lin Mu peace of mind!
"That’s not necessary; the crew has security," Zhou Xun replied.
"It’s no trouble. Just in case, I’ll have Earth Wolf act as your bodyguard," Lin Mu insisted.
"Alright then." Zhou Xun nodded, agreeing reluctantly.
A little after five in the afternoon, Lin Mu and Zhou Xun went out for dinner, then watched a movie at the cinema. Around nine o’clock, they returned to the Lin Family Mansion, headed straight for Zhou Xun’s room without wasting words.
Of course, Lin Mu fulfilled his promise, and Zhou Xun acted on her innermost desires. Both were intertwined in a whirlwind of passion, like a blaze ignited by dry wood!
Zhou Xun, in particular, responded passionately. Normally, Zhou Xun would restrain her moans, but at this mont, she did not hold back at all. She was utterly wild, thrilled until late into the night when she eventually fell asleep.
Early the next morning, Zhou Xun was set to join the crew for the national publicity tour. Naturally, with Earth Wolf’s protection, Lin Mu had nothing to worry about. Zhou Xun was reluctant to part, tears welling up in her eyes, almost spilling over.
Just as they exited the airport, Lin Mu’s phone rang.
"Hello, Gray Wolf, what’s up?" Lin Mu picked up the call and asked.
"Boss, it’s not good, sothing’s happened," Gray Wolf’s tone was serious. He rarely sounded this grave unless it was sothing significant.
"What’s going on?" Lin Mu quickly inquired.
"There was an explosion just now at the Foot Bath Pavilion, a few subordinates were injured and sent to the hospital," Gray Wolf reported.
"An explosion at the Foot Bath Pavilion?" Lin Mu was quite shocked and asked, "What exactly happened?"
"Just a mont ago, in the lobby area, two security guards were blown away. The place can’t operate for now. The news has already spread, significantly impacting the custors. You should co take a look," Gray Wolf said.
"Alright, I’ll head over now," Lin Mu agreed and drove toward the Flying Dragon Foot Bath Pavilion.
Installing a bomb at the Foot Bath Pavilion at this ti clearly targeted him, though he couldn’t figure out who. Logically, it shouldn’t be Tang Wu; he didn’t have the guts at the mont.
Arriving at the Foot Bath Pavilion, a crowd had gathered at the entrance, mostly Flying Dragon’s n. Other custors had been evacuated to the plaza in front of the entrance.
As Lin Mu approached, Gray Wolf ca up to him, followed closely by i Niang and Fangzi. The two won were sticking by Gray Wolf’s side, often helping out at the Foot Bath Pavilion when they were free.
"Boss," Gray Wolf greeted Lin Mu as he stepped forward.
Lin Mu nodded and walked into the Foot Bath Pavilion, finding it in disarray. The place was littered with shattered glass, indicating the bomb had a significant impact.
"Were any custors injured?" Lin Mu asked.
"No, just two security guards and two welco girls with minor surface injuries," Gray Wolf reported.
"Alright, find soone to comfort the injured, provide each injured person with a hundred thousand for dical expenses. Also, ensure we compensate the custors by distributing more vouchers or sothing similar," Lin Mu instructed.
The vouchers at the Foot Bath Pavilion were not like those in regular establishnts, which could only be used to purchase specific items. Lin Mu’s Foot Bath Pavilion vouchers were as good as cash, usable at any ti for any purchase, essentially a second currency in the pavilion, even redeemable for cash.
Issuing vouchers was practically akin to handing out cash, which was beneficial for the staff.
Gray Wolf nodded, "Understood, boss."
"Are there any leads on this matter?" Lin Mu inquired. While the comforting work was important, catching the culprit was vital to removing this ticking ti bomb before it struck again.
"Not at the mont. The explosion was so sudden that it caused imdiate chaos at the scene," Gray Wolf explained.
"What about the surveillance?" Lin Mu asked further.
"The footage seems tampered with; recordings from last night until now are missing, possibly deleted," Gray Wolf reported.
Lin Mu pondered for a bit, "Alright, investigate thoroughly. I have a feeling soone is watching us."
"Soone watching us? Who?" Gray Wolf questioned.
"I’m not sure, but it feels like he’s right behind us, watching our every move," Lin Mu replied with his eyes slightly closed.
Gray Wolf glanced around nervously, "Co on, boss, don’t be so cryptic."
Lin Mu casually pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and took a slow puff, "Keep a close watch during this ti. I sense more surprises ahead."
"Got it. Should we continue operating?" Gray Wolf asked.
"Yes, keep operating. Find a renovation team, pay them extra to quickly spruce up the place, explain the situation to the custors, and ramp up security; it shouldn’t impact the custors much," Lin Mu instructed.
"Alright, I’ll get on it," Gray Wolf nodded.
Just then, Lin Mu’s phone rang again. Sophie was calling, and Lin Mu had a bad feeling sothing was up with her.
Lin Mu quickly answered, "Hello, Sophie, what’s wrong?"
"Lin Mu, sothing happened on my end," Sophie said calmly. Given her vast experiences, Sophie remained composed, and as a Fortune 500 CEO, her character had been refined into resilience and poise.
Of course, Lin Mu was most concerned about Sophie’s safety, so he asked, "Are you alright?"
"I’m fine, there was an explosion at the entrance of Yunhai Mansion just now. Several cars are wrecked, but fortunately, no one was hurt," Sophie reported.
"Another explosion?"
Lin Mu had a sinking feeling. Who could be orchestrating these malicious acts from the shadows? Lin Mu vaguely sensed that this person was lurking nearby.
