After greeting Sophie, Bova turned to Lin Mu beside her and smiled, "Hello, Mr. Lin! We et again."
"Oh, hello, Miss Sarah! Sorry for bothering you earlier!" Lin Mu smiled and surprisingly offered his hand to apologize.
Bova glanced at his hand, then smiled and shook it. Lin Mu's big paw, not entirely honest, discreetly stroked Bova's delicate and fair hand. Of course, Bova noticed Lin Mu's lewd action but remained calm, keeping her smile unchanged.
Releasing his hand, Bova smiled, "Please do take care of in the future."
"Don't worry, I will certainly take care of you, haha!" Lin Mu grinned with ulterior motives.
"Everyone, it's almost ti. The press and dia are here; let's get ready for the press conference!" Gao Mufeng glanced at the ti and then asked Bova, "Miss Sarah, are you interested in listening?"
"Haha, of course! Our visit here is to learn from Wancheng's rapid developnt, which will aid our city's progress!" Bova laughed.
"Then please, co along!"
Under Gao Mufeng's lead, a group of city governnt leaders exited the lounge, and Sophie followed with several bodyguards. Lin Mu didn't leave, as he had no interest in the pointless conference, so only Lin Mu and the Chief Police Officer remained inside.
"Hey, why aren't you going?" The Chief Police Officer glanced at Lin Mu and asked.
"Oh, I thought I'd stay to keep you company!" Lin Mu grinned, and seeing no one around, he casually put his arms around the Chief Police Officer's slender waist.
"Get lost, this is a public place, not a ho. You need to be mindful of the impact! I'm responsible for the security of the exchange eting, don't interrupt my work!" The Chief Police Officer smacked Lin Mu, then went to sit in front of the monitoring computer.
The monitoring computer displayed the images from the governnt building entrance and the conference hall.
"Damn, Director Qi, you're really diligent and responsible; aren't you the director of the Wancheng Bureau now? Can't you delegate such minor tasks?" Lin Mu found it quite frustrating; it seed a bit excessive for the Chief Police Officer to be doing everything herself.
The Chief Police Officer shot a glance at Lin Mu, "Do you think I want to? We're in a critical period, and we can't afford any mishaps. If sothing goes wrong, I'll have to face the higher-ups and review the matter. The venue is full of top city leaders, wealthy business tycoons, combined with the complex identity of the foreign guest Bova. A mishap would negatively impact Wancheng greatly, and I'd be blad for it..."
"Uh... alright, with so many police around, what criminal would dare ss around here?" Lin Mu comnted irritably.
Just as Lin Mu finished speaking, Qi Manlin stared at the computer screen and suddenly stood up because the car's license plate was conspicuously covered.
"This is bad!" Qi Manlin instinctively realized and imdiately grabbed the walkie-talkie to call, "Zone 1, intercept the red Santana leaving the underground parking lot!"
"Yes, Director Qi."
The officers replied on the walkie-talkie, and soon, the screen showed two ard policen. Quickly, a red Santana car rushed towards them. Among the luxury cars around, this red Santana stood out significantly and headed straight for the officers, accelerating instead of slowing down!
The officers imdiately jumped to opposite sides, barely avoiding being hit by the speeding Santana. A slight hesitation would have sent them flying. Qi Manlin saw this and imdiately grabbed the walkie-talkie, shouting, "Zone 2, set up roadblocks at the underground parking exit! Stop all outgoing vehicles!"
"Yes, Director Qi." The walkie-talkie transmitted the officers' response again!
"Hurry, let's go downstairs to catch them!" Qi Manlin responded and ran out of the room.
Seeing Qi Manlin's quick response and sharp observation, Lin Mu couldn't help but nod approvingly; the Chief Police Officer's progress was truly remarkable. Her professional skills had indeed improved significantly during this ti!
"Hey, Wild Girl, this way!"
Qi Manlin just opened the door when Lin Mu called out.
"Which way?"
"The window!" Lin Mu pointed to the window.
"You bastard, are you crazy? This is the tenth floor, do you want to die?" Qi Manlin felt like cursing; jumping from a ten-story building seed suicidal. Does this guy think he's Spider-Man or what?
"Uh… my life is precious! I guarantee you'll be fine. Co, trust , I'll hold onto you and promise nothing will happen!" Lin Mu grinned.
Ti was tight; even the fastest elevator descent would take over two minutes. In this situation, if the opponent managed to escape smoothly, two minutes later, they'd be long gone. Surely jumping off the building would take only seconds, provided we don't die!
Qi Manlin stepped in front of Lin Mu, eyed the man who seed like a devil, and suddenly wanted to trust him just once, "Bastard, can you really do it? Don't let die alongside you!"
"Stop nagging. Trust when I do things!" Lin Mu wrapped his arm around Qi Manlin's slender waist and leaped, rushing out the window with a whoosh.
"Ah..."
At the mont of leaping through the window, Qi Manlin closed her eyes and scread, feeling only the continuous "whooshing" sound in her ears. But soon, they landed.
"Where are we?" The Chief Police Officer trembled, eyes still closed, as she asked.
"On the fifth-floor balcony!"
"Can we land on the ground?"
"In a mont!"
"Ah..."
Amidst the Chief Police Officer's screams, Lin Mu leaped down again, with the wind whooshing by once more. This ti, they really landed on the ground.
Yet, the Chief Police Officer continued her high-pitched screams, "Ah..."
"Hey, Chief Police Officer, stop screaming." Lin Mu slapped the Chief Police Officer's perky butt and said.
Cuddled in Lin Mu's embrace, the Chief Police Officer slowly opened her eyes, looked at the ground, then up at the tenth floor, "My God, we really... jumped down?"
"Damn, you think I was acting with you? But, Wild Girl, you should lose so weight, you're like dead weight!" Lin Mu grinned.
"Get lost, I'm just ninety pounds, okay?" The Chief Police Officer, seeing they were unhard, felt much less fear, calming quickly, then jumped out of Lin Mu's embrace.
