If it really ca down to sheer speed, Lin Chuan's speed was probably no match for this Golden Wolf.
Clearly, Lin Chuan felt so panic. He wasn't afraid of dying himself, but was worried that if he couldn't defeat the Golden Wolf, Tang Yung would fall victim to the pack's cruelty. The scene of Tang Yung being torn apart by the wolves flashed through Lin Chuan's mind.
"No!" Lin Chuan suddenly gritted his teeth and said, "I must defeat this beast."
How could a human lose to a beast?!
That was the thought in Lin Chuan's mind.
Must protect Tang Yung!
This was an unwavering obsession in Lin Chuan's mind.
The Golden Wolf still appeared disdainful, calmly pacing on the spot, seemingly in no rush to strike at Lin Chuan. This only added to Lin Chuan's frustration. He realized that the Golden Wolf was not in a hurry to kill him; instead, it intended to tornt him slowly until he died.
"Damn it!" After seeing through the Golden Wolf's intention, Lin Chuan grew angry.
The Golden Wolf glanced at Lin Chuan, leisurely grooming its own fur, igniting even more fury in Lin Chuan. He decided to slaughter this Golden Wolf first; as long as he killed this one, he could drive away the rest of the pack. There wouldn't be any problem at all.
Whoosh…
Lin Chuan's right hand suddenly flung towards the Golden Wolf. The dagger in his hand instantly stabbed towards the Golden Wolf's forehead.
The Golden Wolf was not stupid and realized Lin Chuan had released a hidden weapon. So, with a leap on its four legs, it jumped into the air. In that mont, Lin Chuan seized the opportunity as his left hand's dagger rushed forth.
Lin Chuan had long predicted that this wolf was very clever and knew it would dodge. So, he took advantage of the mont when his opponent leaped into the air with no chance to evade and instantly threw his dagger.
Pu chi…
In that instant, the dagger stabbed straight into the Golden Wolf's chest.
Blood was particularly startling under the silvery moonlight.
"Now's the ti!" Lin Chuan bit down hard and imdiately charged forward.
When the Golden Wolf was stabbed, it let out an angry roar. Perhaps it hadn't expected humans to be so despicable, to launch another attack while it was dodging. After landing, the Golden Wolf didn't stop, but with the force of hitting the ground, it sprang towards Lin Chuan once again.
"Die!" Lin Chuan roared furiously.
The Golden Wolf opened its bloody maw, swinging its claws and teeth.
Rip…
Its claws instantly tore a gash in Lin Chuan's arm.
Ignoring these minor injuries, Lin Chuan grabbed the Golden Wolf's neck with both hands.
Thud…
Clutching the neck of the Golden Wolf, Lin Chuan slamd down from mid-air with force. After landing, the man and wolf were entwined in a deadly struggle, clawing and biting at each other. Lin Chuan had never seen such a powerful wolf; not only covered in golden fur but also imnsely strong, the Golden Wolf's claws tore apart Lin Chuan's clothes as it struggled.
However, Lin Chuan kept a firm grip on the Golden Wolf's neck, his hands exerting furious strength.
Crack…
Finally, Lin Chuan applied a fierce force with both hands and imdiately snapped the Golden Wolf's neck.
Howl howl…
After letting out two miserable howls, the Golden Wolf imdiately stopped breathing, its limbs convulsed for a while, and then it lost the ability to move. Lin Chuan grabbed the Golden Wolf's neck with one hand and lifted the wolf, weighing seventy to eighty catties, off the ground.
The wolf pack stood up, each wolf erecting its ears in bewildernt, looking at Lin Chuan with confusion and fear in their eyes. Trembling, they watched Lin Chuan nervously.
Bang…
Suddenly, Lin Chuan flung his hand, tossing the Golden Wolf far away. The body of the Golden Wolf was heavy, and it made a loud noise upon landing. Seeing this, the wolves were shocked and retreated far away. They looked at Lin Chuan with fear and trepidation in their eyes. One by one, shivering, they watched Lin Chuan anxiously.
"Scram!" Lin Chuan roared.
Whoosh whoosh…
At this mont, the wolf pack turned tail and ran. With the alpha wolf dead and the Golden Wolf dead too, they seed to subconsciously know that they couldn't defeat this human. So, they all plunged into the depths of the forest. So wolves quickly disappeared into the bushes. More than a dozen wolves vanished without a trace in an instant.
Lin Chuan was also panting heavily.
Tang Yung had been watching the outside closely; she cautiously peered out the window to check the situation. When she saw that the wolf pack outside had dispersed, she eagerly unzipped the zipper, then ran out quickly.
"Lin Chuan, are you okay?" Tang Yung asked with concern.
"I'm fine." Lin Chuan shook his head.
"To say you're fine…" Tang Yung looked at Lin Chuan nervously and said, "Look at you, you're injured all over. Your clothes are torn to shreds, oh my god, you… you're bleeding!"
Tang Yung panicked instantly.
"Don't be afraid, it's just a minor injury," Lin Chuan smiled.
"Minor injury?" Tang Yung looked shocked and said, "Look at yourself, the wound is so deep, and you still call it a minor injury? What kind of injury is considered serious then? Does it have to be like last ti when you were burned beyond recognition and rushed to the hospital for ergency treatnt before it's considered serious?"
"Uh..." Lin Chuan was imdiately stunned and grinned, "Any injury suffered for your sake is a minor injury."
"Get out of here!" Tang Yung snorted and said, "Hurry up, let treat your wound."
Anticipating various dangers when going up the mountain, Lin Chuan had brought so hemostatic and pain relief dicines, as well as so gauze and bandages. He hadn't expected to actually need them, which was sothing Lin Chuan had not foreseen.
Tang Yung was extrely careful when disinfecting the wound with alcohol.
"Bear with it, it's going to hurt," Tang Yung whispered comfortingly.
To her surprise, when she was disinfecting Lin Chuan's wound with an alcohol cotton swab, he didn't seem to feel it at all and was all smiles. Tang Yung felt sowhat sorry for him and was gentler with her touches, but upon seeing Lin Chuan's disdainful expression, she imdiately went about her task with less restraint.
Tang Yung carefully counted the wounds. There were six in total, two of which were very deep. Even after bandaging, the white gauze was quickly soaked with fresh blood.
"These two wounds are deep," Tang Yung frowned and said, "We must hurry down the mountain. These wounds are too deep, they need to be stitched up."
"It's fine, I have needle and thread in my first aid kit," Lin Chuan replied.
"I... I can't do it," Tang Yung shuddered.
It wasn't that she didn't know how, but stitching clothes and flesh were completely different. Stitching flesh felt as if each stitch was piercing her own flesh, which was painfully unbearable.
"Then I'll do it," Lin Chuan replied.
"What?" Tang Yung exclaid in surprise.
At this mont, Lin Chuan took out needle and thread himself, while Tang Yung hurried over to help. Although she dared not stitch herself, she could still help with minor tasks. Boiling water, disinfecting, threading the needle...
After everything was ready, Lin Chuan removed the gauze from his arm and began stitching. The stitching itself wasn't complicated, but to avoid leaving scars, the craftsmanship was crucial.
Lin Chuan, often in battlefields, was no stranger to stitching wounds. The task was naturally within his capability.
However, Tang Yung couldn't bear to watch. The needle pierced the pale flesh, then dragged the thread through, followed by another stitch.
With each stitch, Tang Yung closed her eyes.
A total of over ten stitches were needed for the two wounds. After finishing, Lin Chuan wrapped up his work and then used his teeth to bite off the thread on his arm with ease, putting away the needle. Tang Yung then hurried to apply dication and re-bandage him.
"Are you okay?" Tang Yung asked.
"I'm fine," Lin Chuan shook his head and said, "Sis, did you get scared?"
"No," Tang Yung quickly shook her head, "I'm just worried about you."
Lin Chuan smiled, then gently hugged Tang Yung and sat down on a moisture-proof mat beside him, saying, "It's okay, I've worried you."
"I thought we were going to die here today," Tang Yung said with a choked voice.
"Silly girl, how could that happen?" Lin Chuan shook his head quickly, "No, we will not die here. Because you have to bear many, many sons in the future."
"Can't it be daughters?" Tang Yung suddenly glared at Lin Chuan.
"Of course, they can!" Lin Chuan laughed, "The daughter must look like you, that way she will be naturally beautiful and elegant."
"Naturally!" Tang Yung nodded.
"Then... let's hurry up and get married," Lin Chuan chuckled.
"Go on. I fell for your trick," Tang Yung panicked, "I'm not marrying you, you're setting a trap for to fall into."
"Haha..." Lin Chuan burst into laughter.
Tang Yung looked at him disdainfully, then rested her hands on her cheeks with a look of horror as she observed the pitch-black forest around them. This place was not the city. Once night fell, there was no light anywhere. Except for a dim glow in the sky, there was almost no lightness left.
"Lin Chuan, there aren't any other wild animals, are there?" Tang Yung was sowhat nervous.
"Don't be afraid," Lin Chuan shook his head, "There won't be any other wild animals coming."
"Really?" Tang Yung was still a bit scared.
"Of course!" Lin Chuan nodded, "All that activity just now made quite hungry, hehe, we happen to have brought a grill. How about we cook so wolf at to eat? Wolf at is very chewy. It's delicious."
"I..." Before Tang Yung could respond, Lin Chuan had already gotten up.
Today, three wolves were killed, all formidable creatures, exuding dominance. Among them was the Golden Wolf, another alpha wolf, and a common wolf.
Lin Chuan had an intense curiosity about the Golden Wolf. He walked over, removed his dagger from the chest of the Golden Wolf, and effortlessly cut open its chest. Everything from a wolf's body was valuable: the fur was expensive, the bones were used in dicine, and the teeth were believed to ward off evil. In the market, a common wolf's tooth cost at least three to five thousand. If it were from an alpha wolf, it would be worth at least ten thousand. But Lin Chuan had never seen a Golden Wolf like this before.
