After arriving at Qingsheng, there was only one road out, and it was always controlled by the Wa State Army. To cross the border, you had to pay a crossing fee of one thousand Thai baht. If you were driving, the fee doubled to two thousand baht. As for whether the crossing was legal, or what you were carrying, they didn't care at all.
When Lin Chuan was ready to cross the border, it was already past eleven, with over twenty vehicles still lined up ahead.

The Marshal of Wa State had always wanted to capture him but had never succeeded over the years. Now, reappearing in the Golden Triangle, if the Marshal found out, a large force would likely co to capture him imdiately.

Once past the border, the road beca rough and uneven, but fortunately, Lin Chuan's vehicle was an off-road type; it managed to maintain a reasonable speed, though this wasn't good for the shock absorbers' lifespan. But since it wasn't his own vehicle, ruining it ant nothing to him. Moreover, he had no intention of returning the vehicle; he would just abandon it wherever when done.
