"Why?" Song Xiaojia frowned.
"Co with ." Lin Chuan pulled Song Xiaojia and headed outside.
Song Xiaojia was puzzled and asked, "What for? Where are you taking ?"
"You'll know once you co with ," Lin Chuan said.
Song Xiaojia was dragged outside by Lin Chuan and eventually shoved into his battered jeep. The car sped straight towards East River Pier.
Arriving at East River Pier, Song Xiaojia grew nervous, covering her chest and asking awkwardly, "Lin Chuan, it's almost dark, why did you bring here? Don't harbor any improper thoughts about . I won't let you succeed."
"Get out," Lin Chuan glanced at her.
Song Xiaojia pursed her lips, jumped out of the car reluctantly, and asked, "What for? What's there to see here? It's getting dark, the wind is strong, and it's quite scary."
"Aren't you looking for Liu Shaoqi's driver?" Lin Chuan asked with a smile.
"Yes!" Song Xiaojia nodded.
"Then let tell you, that person has already been sunk to the bottom of the river," Lin Chuan pointed towards the pitch-black river surface.

Song Xiaojia gasped, looking at Lin Chuan in shock. Just then, a cold wind blew over, and Song Xiaojia suddenly felt a chilling sensation all over her body — it was the first ti she had felt this way as a police officer.
"Did you do it?" Song Xiaojia asked in astonishnt.
"It could be said that I did, but also that I didn't," Lin Chuan looked at Song Xiaojia.

"Do you want to know the whole truth?" Lin Chuan asked.
"Yes, you must tell everything without missing a word," Song Xiaojia said, grabbing Lin Chuan's arm, visibly agitated.
Lin Chuan chuckled and said, "It's actually not that complicated. Soone tampered with Liu Shaoqi's driver secretly and killed him."
"Then... who exactly is the mastermind behind this?" Song Xiaojia hastily asked, "Why would he do such a thing?"
"Whoever gets the Liu Group, is the mastermind," Lin Chuan looked at Song Xiaojia.
"You an... Yang Zi?" Song Xiaojia was taken aback.
"Right!" Lin Chuan imdiately nodded and continued, "It was Yang Zi who had the driver kill Liu Shaoqi, and then Yang Zi killed the driver. Later, my people found Yang Zi dumping the body into East River. I had the body fished out, stuffed it into a chemical barrel, filled it with cent, and tossed it right into the East River. Just like that!"

"I don't know!" Lin Chuan shook his head and said, "Xiao Jia, you can't scare with that."

"Then, would you listen to from now on as well?" Lin Chuan, quite wickedly, supported Song Xiaojia's bottom with both hands, giving a firm squeeze, one hand inadvertently slipping into the crevice, nearly causing Song Xiaojia to leap up.
Song Xiaojia exclaid, "Are you crazy, we're outdoors."
"Then let's get in the car," Lin Chuan chuckled.

Everything that followed happened very naturally.

Both of them were drenched in sweat. Song Xiaojia was pinned under Lin Chuan, both exhaustedly lying flat.
"Tired?" Lin Chuan asked.
"Not tired," Song Xiaojia shook her head.
"Let's get up, ti to head back," Lin Chuan said with a smile.
"No!" Song Xiaojia shook her head, saying: "I just want to stay here a bit longer."
Lin Chuan smiled, "Alright!"
Only after resting in the car for a long while did the two dress themselves. Song Xiaojia felt her clothes were disheveled and her hair was a ss. Luckily, her ear-length bob was easy to manage. Dressed and with flushed cheeks, Song Xiaojia felt quite embarrassed, seemingly uneasy now interacting with Lin Chuan.
"Heading back?" Lin Chuan, with a cigarette hanging from his lips, felt incredibly satisfied post-encounter. Another cigarette simply felt heavenly.
"Mhm," Song Xiaojia nodded.
Afterward, Lin Chuan drove her back to the police station compound.
Before parting, Song Xiaojia wrapped her arms around Lin Chuan's neck and said, "Lin Chuan, you have to take responsibility for ."
"Sure, sure, I'll take responsibility," Lin Chuan nodded hastily.
Song Xiaojia giggled and said, "Hehe, you said it. You have to rember that!"
Having said that, Song Xiaojia promptly opened the door and walked out. Her silhouette quickly disappeared into the police station compound.
Lin Chuan's mouth curved into a mischievous smile as he contentedly drove ho.
Traveling from the police station compound to Changlin Factory required passing through the city center, then turning onto Huai Mountain South Road. From the Huai Mountain South Road intersection heading west and after covering a distance of a few hundred ters, one would reach the Changlin Factory's entrance.
The drive was smooth. After passing through the city center, Lin Chuan's unlicensed car surprisingly evaded police detection and easily entered the East District, proceeding directly towards Huai Mountain South Road. Once on the intersection, he headed towards Changlin Factory.
As soon as he arrived at Changlin Factory, Lin Chuan imdiately sensed sothing ominous. The surroundings were pitch black and the air felt extrely cold. His marvelous sixth sense kicked in, giving him an unsettled feeling.
Fortunately, he was ho. Lin Chuan parked the car at the front door.
Suddenly, a black shadow shot towards Lin Chuan at high speed.
"Crap!" Lin Chuan exclaid, quickly ducking towards the passenger seat.
Bang...
The shadow pierced the front windshield with incredible speed and hit the driver's seat.
Rip...
The black shadow plunged into the seat, and upon turning his head, Lin Chuan saw that it was a black boorang. Without a mont to lose, he kicked his legs and swiftly rolled to the passenger side. He pushed the passenger door open and bolted out.
Whoosh whoosh...
Several hidden weapons were rapidly aid at Lin Chuan.
Seeing this, Lin Chuan pushed off with his legs and leaped towards the wall. The assailant was aggressive and powerful, forcing Lin Chuan to unleash all his strength to fend off the intrusion. Lin Chuan had an unpleasant premonition that this attacker might even be more formidable than him.
The nature of the hidden weapons used by the attacker offered a clue. Their speed and the tricky angles, slicing through the glass without shattering it, the boorang pierced the seat with lightning speed.
