Hearing the shouting from behind, Ye Huan broke into a cold sweat and pedaled the shared bicycle even faster.
He was riding the shared bike towards Golden Sand Street to bring Zhang Huimin’s clothes to Penglai Lakefront. As he passed through an intersection, he happened to see Qin Ya on duty, and took the chance to mock her.
Things like:
"Oh wow, isn’t this Captain Qin? How co a distinguished detective captain like you is here directing traffic?"
"Oh! I get it. You must have realized how tough it is for our grassroots police officers, so you’ve co to assist the traffic departnt!"
"Haha, I’m such a clever little devil for having guessed your good intentions so quickly, Captain Qin! But, Captain Qin, under such burning sun, you, a lady without sunscreen, weren’t good-looking to begin with, but getting tanned like this, your chances of getting married are slim!"
"I, on behalf of the people, thank you for sacrificing yourself for the public good. Such selflessness really moved , Ye Huan, deeply. I’d like to present you with a banner of comndation. Should I send it to the detective unit?"
"Oh, I nearly forgot, Captain Qin is on duty in the traffic departnt, so it should be sent to the traffic division!"
Such mocking words led to the current situation.
Fuming with rage, Qin Ya revved up her police motorcycle and chased after Ye Huan, hitting 150 on the speedoter!
Needless to say, if she caught Ye Huan, at best he’d end up in the ICU, at worst straight to the crematorium!
Ye Huan wiped the cold sweat off his forehead and pushed his speed even further.
Behind him, Qin Ya, wilder with fury, had her hair bristling like an explosion.
Seeing she couldn’t close the distance with Ye Huan, her frustration only amplified her anger!
This is nuts!
How is Ye Huan pedaling that shared bike so fast?
The motorbike is maxed out, yet it can’t close the gap at all? What’s going on!!!
Qin Ya furiously slamd the handlebars, her features contorted by anger, looking quite fierce.
The next second, she was taken aback.
"What the hell! Is this bike so flimsy? I’m filing a complaint!"
Ye Huan’s face changed dramatically as both tires of the shared bike he was riding, having been pushed past their limits for too long, flew off.
Fortunately, Brother Huan, having experienced many big scenes, quickly stabilized himself to avoid a crash and burn.
He gritted his teeth and ditched the bike, darting into a nearby alley.
Qin Ya snapped back to reality, roared in anger, "If you dare, don’t run!"
After roaring, she too abandoned the bike and dashed into the alley.
But just as she erged from the other end of the alley, she ran smack into a group of people passing by.
Wearing a helt and failing to slow down, she knocked over a lanky, hook-nosed man among the group, sending him to the ground.
The lanky man grasped the roadside railing, wailing repeatedly.
Qin Ya stomped her foot in frustration, forced to abandon the chase after Ye Huan.
"I’m sorry, are you... are you alright? Do you need to go to a hospital?" Qin Ya suppressed her towering rage, forcing a smile while softening her tone...
"To hell with a hospital!"
"Are you blind or sothing?"
"Dare to crash into , I’m gonna...!"
The lanky man started to curse, but upon seeing Qin Ya’s attire, he imdiately fell silent.
"What’s wrong? Who are you going to cut down? Keep cursing," Qin Ya said, her face calm, though the veins popping on her forehead clearly showed her inner state.
"I... I..." The lanky man averted his eyes, sneaking glances at Qin Ya’s arm badge...
Seeing the words "traffic police," the lanky man suddenly burst out, "I’m gonna cut you down, so what? You got a problem with that?!"
