Back at the station, three suspects were brought in before the coroner’s report arrived. Suspect one was the florist who sold the lily. The second was a teacher who taught five out of the nine victims. The third was a system host suspected to have a fate prediction system.

Weijun watched all three being marched into different interrogation rooms. He stuck next to Chief Abby, drinking tea as he wondered if this would be the end of the disturbing case.

"How do you plan to spin this?" The Chief asked him.

Weijun sighed. "Is there any way to spin serial killer and nine dead teenagers? I am sick to my stomach. Sooner or later, soone with a big mouth is going to spill and the press is going to spin crazy theories." He looked at his watch and winced. "I am supposed to be at Dou Yahui’s funeral."

Chief Abby raised his eyebrows. "So why aren’t you there?"

Weijun groaned. "Because I cannot clone myself." He held up three fingers to the chief. "Tell my beloved wife that she has three days to close this case. Say it nicely and don’t tell her the order ca from ."

Chief Abby snorted. "You seem to be under the impression that the SOB works for you. Or in this case, Liwu works for you. One of these days. she is going to break your jaw and bring you back to reality."

Weijun passed his hand over his face. "I am too cute for her to punch. Besides, I don’t think she works for , I am just very trusting of her abilities. The police has had this case for a year with zero suspects. The Bureau steps in for a few hours and they have three suspects. My faith has been earned." He put down the cup of tea and grabbed his coat. "If my wife asks for , tell her where I am."

Unaware of her husband’s ’faith’, Liwu was facing the florist, grandma Eu-h. The old woman, with her neat white hair and large floral earrings in the shape of a circle behaved as if her lips were glued shut.

However, she was fidgeting with her fingers.

Liwu took all the flowers from the different cri scenes. They had been preserved in evidence. So, they had linked back to the sa farm.

"We have nine dead teenagers, sa cause of death, all with a lily left in their mouth after death. Three of the lilies have been traced back to your farm. They were sold by the flower shop you own."

Grandma Eu-h snapped, "I sell flowers every day! Weddings, funerals, birthdays, get well soon flowers. So people give them to their loved ones to say I love you. It doesn’t make a killer."

Liwu sat down. "I did not say you were the killer. I think you sold the lilies to the killer."

Grandma Eu-h looked aghast. "So what, are you blaming for the death of those children?"

Liwu sat down and leaned forward, arms resting on the table. "The person I am looking for does not want a special card attached to the flowers. They also only order for lilies and these were the dates." She pushed a paper forward, for the day before each murder. "They probably bought in bulk, a very big bulk."

Grandma Eu-h pushed the paper away. "I don’t know anything and my flower shop is not related to the murders."

Liwu touched her phone, leaking holograms with pictures of all the dead children. Eu-h turned away, refusing to look at them.

Her behavior confused Liwu.

"System, ti to work." Liwu commanded.

"Have you heard of our expert? He can get answers out of you. If he cos in here, you will confess every bad thing you have ever done." Liwu frightened the old woman. "He is standing right outside."

Grandma Eu-h’s chair leg snapped, sending her sprawling. While she was down there, her heart beat picked up speed. She could have sworn that she saw a shadow moving under the small gap between the door and the floor.

She cursed and then admitted, "Fine! I did sell a bulk order of lilies during that ti, but you have the days wrong. I sold them three days before the day each child died. I don’t know who the buyer was, but it was a woman. She paid in cash and never showed her face." Slowly, she got up. "Can I go now?"

Liwu asked curiously, "So why had you refused to answer my questions before?"

The old woman sneered, "Will you ever buy flowers from after this?"

Liwu was not much of a flower buyer. She only bought flowers for her loved ones on special days when she could not be present. Co to think of it, she did buy a lot of flowers! Her bad luck had kept her away from many family functions.

Grandma Eu-h took it to an that Liwu would not be a regular custor. "I thought so," she huffed. "Anything to do with a serial killer is a death sentence for most businesses. If word spreads about any of this, I will sue your bureau. Just you wait."

On her way out of the interrogation room, an angry Eu-h shoved Xuanji out of the way with her cane. It poked him in the shoulder, sending him two steps back.

"I thought old people were supposed to be nice." Xuanji said, wincing as he rubbed the sore spot.

Liwu laughed. "You should et my great great grandfather, Elder Zhang. The nicest old man that ever lived."

Knowing that it was a lie, they both walked to the observation area outside the second interrogation room. Linlin was talking to the teacher.

He was folding his arms, looking offended to be there. He was tall and big, the chair almost seed child sized in comparison to his size. But he wasn’t a bodybuilder or obese, just big!

"Big guy." Liwu comnted. "I can see him smothering those kids easily."

Xuanji shook his head. "Look at him, the man is docile. Just like a sheep."

The teacher’s voice ca through the intercom, "I love all my kids, I would never harm them. I did not hurt anybody."

Linlin slapped the table and raised her voice, "Five out of nine victims were your students. If you want to make this easy for yourself, give your hand. I will look into your fate and see if you will ever kill a child in your future."

The teacher kicked the table. "No way. I will not allow you to ss with my mind. If you want to know the truth, all those kids missed class once in a while. Three of them ended up in the hospital because they were sick after skipping school one day and I visited them.

I almost got fired by the school because of that. They don’t want teachers and students becoming too close ever since a parent claid Mr. No had abused his daughter."

Liwu moved away, she had her own interrogation with the system host. It was a woman, with sharp eyes and a calm smile. As soon as she saw the pictures Liwu slid across the table, she said, "I predict fate for a living. A bunch of kids ca to as a goof. It must have been a bad day for them because I foresaw their deaths," she said softly, "But I didn’t cause them."
