Chapter 5
The butler went upstairs to tell Xia Yishan that her friends had arrived. They were already waiting in the living room.
She was doubtful. She did not have any friends in Beijing, did she?
Xia Yishan was pissed when she got downstairs and saw the people who came.

Shen Jiashu and Tan Xiaoling sat obediently on the couch. There were two cups of hot tea placed before them.
Wan Yuning sat on the main seat with a faint smile on her face.
“Yishan, Jiashu and I brought you your admission letter,” Tan Xiaoling said and placed the letter on the coffee table.
Xia Yishan did not respond to her friendliness. Instead, she walked to Wan Yuning, “Aunt Wan.”

Xia Yishan picked up the admission letter. As expected, it was from the Drama and Performance department of the academy.
She smirked lightly, saying to Shen Jiashu and Tan Xiaoling, “Thank you.”
Tan Xiaoling was looking at the expensive decor in the Xia residence’s living room. Hearing Xia Yishan speaking to her, she instantly replied, “Don’t worry about it. We’re friends. That’s what friends do!
Shen Jiashu felt embarrassed by Tan Xiaoling’s exaggerated affection. He said sincerely, “Congratulations on being accepted into the Beijing Western Film Academy.”
Xia Yishan looked up slightly. She had never expected the first congratulations would e from Shen Jiashu.
“Hmm, thanks. Since you guys are here, I’ll show you guys around Beijing.”

“Yes, please…”
Shen Jiashu and Tan Xiaoling had pletely different attitudes.
Eventually, Xia Yishan insisted on taking both of them out. She wanted to thank Shen Jiasu for delivering her admission letter. It was just convenient to bring Tan Xiaoling along.
She took the duo to the famous historical sites and shopping malls. Shen Jiashu had no interest in touring and shopping with ladies. Since the admission letter had been delivered, he wanted to return to B-City. On the other hand, Tan Xiaoling could not get enough of it.
“Yishan, have you adapted to your life in Beijing? I want to stay so that I can be with you,” Tan Xiaoling held onto Xia Yishan’s arm, unwilling to let go.

Xia Yishan smiled and said nothing.
Shen Jiashu blushed upon seeinh Tan Xiaoling being shameless, “Stay for as long as you want. I’m heading back.”
“Go ahead. I’m not leaving! Please, Yishan. I’ve never been to a big city like Beijing. B-City can’t pare to this!”

Xia Yishan’s phone happened to ring at that moment.
“Hi. This is Xia Yishan.”
“Sister Yishan, do you remember me?”
A lecherous voice came on the phone. She was speechless. She recognized the jerk it belonged to!
“What is it?”
“Why aren’t you home?”
“I’m out shopping.”
“Where are you shopping? I’ll pick you up?”
Xia Yishan wanted to reject him initially, but then, she glanced at Tan Xiaoling, “I’m at Dongsheng Street.”
“Yishan…”
“It’s not that you can’t stay. You already know, although the Xia family accepted me, letting you stay isn’t my decision. Maybe I’ll look for a hotel for you?”
Sadness flashed through Tan Xiaoling’s eyes, but she replied happily, “Thank you so much, Yishan.”
After the both of them sent Shen Jiashu off, Xia Yishan found an ordinary hotel for Tan Xiaoling nearby.
Lin Chengze picked Xia Yishan at the hotel directly after they municated on the phone.
He met Tan Xiaoling which was what Xia Yishan had planned. She ignored the burning desire in Tan Xiaoling’s eyes when she was looking at Lin Chengze.
Whether the two of them would bee co-conspirators was in their own hands. After all, Lin Chengze already knew where Tan Xiaoling was staying temporarily!
