The beings from the Sky Creation City Council Guard didn’t seem particularly strong. Even their leader was far from matching the Divine Emperor Martial Artists of the Human Clan.
Yet, at this mont, they spoke to Ruchen Venerable with an air of superiority.
This made Jing Yan sigh inwardly. In the vast Chaotic Universe, while the Human Clan is indeed a major race, there are still many beings who don’t consider them important.
Why are these beings so domineering? Isn’t it because they have the support of the Sky Creation City Council backing them?
"Thank you, thank you!" said Ruchen Venerable, deliberately showing a grateful expression.
"You may go now!" The lead being waved his hand dismissively.
"Jing Yan, let’s go!" Ruchen Venerable said to Jing Yan.
Walking through the streets of Sky Creation City, Jing Yan saw many beings from various races. For the most part, he couldn’t identify which race they belonged to, but with Ruchen Venerable by his side introducing them one by one, Jing Yan soon got the hang of the traits of each race.
For example, the Netherworld Clan, whose beings appear most similar to the Human Clan on the surface, but exude a chilling aura. Just passing by them, one could distinctly feel the eerie coldness.
Then there’s the Earth Clan, whose beings’ skin seems to be composed of rock. They are a very peculiar race, capable of perfectly rging with the earth. In battle, if there’s a presence of earth or rock, they’re incredibly resilient, making them difficult to kill.
Various races, each with unique characteristics, abounded. So races, though small, should not be underestimated.
"Jing Yan, we have arrived. Our Human Clan will temporarily reside here for the ti being," Ruchen Venerable indicated a modest building ahead to Jing Yan.
This building seed to be in a rather remote part of Sky Creation City. The exterior appeared sowhat ramshackle.
Seeing this building, Jing Yan instinctively furrowed his brows.
"There’s no other choice! It’s already good enough that the Sky Creation City Council arranged a separate residence for us. Those smaller races have to share a single building among multiple groups. Back before the great cataclysmic war between the Human Clan and Sky Demon Clan, our status in Sky Creation City was higher. But now... ha..." Ruchen Venerable chuckled self-deprecatingly.
"Let’s go in!" Ruchen Venerable, leading Jing Yan, entered the low building.
"Jing Yan, let’s wait in the hall for a while. I’ll inform the others first." Ruchen Venerable spread his Divine Thought and communicated with the other humans inside the building.
Soon after.
"Ruchen, what’s the matter?" a loud voice rang out, followed by the appearance of a burly figure.
"Could it be the Chaos Secret Realm is about to open?" another voice chid in.
One by one, humans arrived in the hall.
"Isn’t this Jing Yan?" Soone spotted Jing Yan by Ruchen Venerable’s side and recognized him.
"Jing Yan? Jing Yan is not dead?"
"Wasn’t it said that eight thousand years ago, the Demon King from the Sky Demon Clan used a Demon Artifact to assassinate Jing Yan? How is he still alive?"
"Young friend Jing Yan, your life is remarkably resilient! Even with the Ku Jixie Demon King personally making an attempt, you still survived!" Red Bearded Venerable’s eyes sparkled as he looked at Jing Yan.
"Jing Yan?" a familiar voice ca.
Jing Yan turned to see who spoke, finding it to be his master, Zhan Yue God Emperor. This ti, Zhan Yue God Emperor had also co to Sky Creation City.
"Master!" Jing Yan greeted Zhan Yue God Emperor, feeling slightly emotional.
Zhan Yue God Emperor approached Jing Yan, his aura sowhat unsettled. Previously, he too thought Jing Yan had passed away, and now he was unexpectedly alive.
"Jing Yan, let introduce you!" Ruchen Venerable said to Jing Yan, "This is Thunderbolt Venerable! This is Chunyu Venerable!"
This ti, three Venerables were leading the group: Ruchen Venerable, Thunderbolt Venerable, and Chunyu Venerable. Chunyu Venerable appeared as an old man with a red beard, looking at Jing Yan with gentle eyes.
However, Thunderbolt Venerable’s gaze was sowhat sharp. Jing Yan sensed that he wasn’t very welcoming of his arrival.
"Greetings, Senior Chunyu, Senior Lei Ting!" Jing Yan clasped his hands towards the two Venerables.
Even though Jing Yan’s current abilities might surpass those few Venerables present, he still maintained politeness, greeting them as a junior.
Subsequently, Ruchen Venerable introduced the eight God Emperors to Jing Yan. Among them, apart from Zhan Yue God Emperor, whom Jing Yan was familiar with, he knew none of the others. Through Ruchen Venerable’s introductions, Jing Yan discovered that two of the God Emperors ca from the Nine Great Divine Realms. His master Zhan Yue God Emperor was from the Seventh Divine Domain, while another nad Mo’en ca from the First Divine Realm.
Aside from these two, the remaining six God Emperors hailed from individual worlds outside the Human Territory.
These God Emperors greeted Jing Yan, with most being rather polite.
After all, although Jing Yan hadn’t been cultivating for long and was a young Martial Artist, he was already quite renowned. Back on the Nine Realms Star, Jing Yan had assisted Ruchen Venerable in slaying Dong Ha’er, the top Demon General from the Sky Demon Clan, an event well known even in individual worlds.
"Ruchen, did you call us all here just to see Jing Yan?" Thunderbolt Venerable frowned, looking at Ruchen, and asked directly.
His tone made it seem as if he was saying that if it was rely to see Jing Yan, it wasn’t worth gathering everyone.
Earlier, Jing Yan had sensed Thunderbolt Venerable’s sharp gaze and now hearing him speak to Ruchen Venerable in such a tone, Jing Yan was convinced that Thunderbolt Venerable wasn’t very welcoming of his arrival.
But why did Thunderbolt Venerable hold this attitude? Jing Yan had never t him before and they hadn’t had any interactions, let alone offended him. Reasonably, there shouldn’t be any cause for dissatisfaction.
"Brother Lei Ting! Brother Chunyu!"
"More than eight thousand years ago, we Human Clan Venerables discussed giving Jing Yan a place when the Chaos Secret Realm opens this ti. We believed Jing Yan had been assassinated by the Sky Demon Clan, so we hadn’t ntioned the matter until now. With Jing Yan back, I think it’s ti we confird this matter once more," Ruchen Venerable looked at Lei Ting and Chunyu and said.
"Hehe, young friend Jing Yan’s talent is astonishing. With just God Emperor realm cultivation, he managed a head-on confrontation with top Demon General Dong Ha’er. Indeed, he deserves one of our Human Clan’s places for the Chaos Secret Realm," Chunyu Venerable narrowed his eyes slightly, smiling and nodding.
